- My 2018 F30 BMW 340i xDrive. I have the Vavletronic muffler, VRSF high flow catted downpipe, and a Bootmod3 Stage 2 tune. I recently deleted the front resonator, so I still have one resonator remaining for now.

I actually just did it. I have a short clip of it on IG and still working on recording the full video. But it made a huge difference. The car sounds amazing

Cool video and pretty nice sound! What would you say how much sound makes the high flow downpipe compared to the stock downpipe?
Thanks. And it really depends on the rest of your exhaust setup. If you have a non resonated mid pipe and a sport muffler, then the cold starts will be much louder and same with wide open throttle pulls. Just cruising around won't be too much different though.
If you have a basic OEM muffler and resonated midpipe, then adding a high flow DP will make a much smaller difference. Gonna be barley noticeable in most situations

@@mevans8646 with valves open and hard acceleration it gets loud. But my previous F30 was still way louder
If I have a muffler delete and stock exhaust, would a high flow catted downpipe make a sound difference? If not, would it be worth to get it just for Stage 2? Which brand catted downpipe do you recommend? VRSF or Evolution Raceworks or any others? Was looking for a deep tone (not too raspy)!
It would make your car slightly louder. And yeah definitely get it if you're going stage 2. I think Evolution Racewerks is the better choice
Is it the universal muffler or the f30 exhaust from valvetronic? And if it’s the f30 exhaust does the same amount of exhaust come out of both tips? The pictures on their website look like the valve is on the left side, leaving the right side unrestricted no matter if the valves are open or closed
This is the F30 specific exhaust. And yeah one side closes when you're in quiet mode. The noise difference in open vs closed mode is pretty big when you add an aftermarket DP and cut out the resonators
does it come with a remote or does it open and close from when you’re in comfort and switch to sport or sport plus ?

thinking about getting the same setup for my 340i, do you think the box shaped resonator is responsible for more noise reduction than the tube shaped one? was thinking about just getting one of the two taken off not 100% sure which one to go with tho, this sounds good though. any thoughts?
I ended up taking off both. It wasn't loud enough with just one removed. I recommend taking both off

Did you have to have the stock exhaust bent for the valvetronic muffler ?
I did. Its annoying that Valvetronic didn't design a muffler specific to the 340i. But the valve feature works really well, so I don't regret buying this muffler
What size is the muffler 3 inch or 3 and a half
I think the mid pipe was 3.5 inch
