I bought it yesterday because I really liked it. To me this is the definition of a mysterious, stunning and intelligent woman. It’s exactly like that rare dark burgundy velvet rose from the garden. It’s not too sweet, not too citrusy, not too woody, not tooo musky... it’s the perfect rose blend. It’s memorable too! Definitely signature scent
The Lego figurine is back! I’ve been trying to figure out who it is supposed to be and this time I’m thinking that it’s you with a perfume bottle. Is that right?
Well, I think the name is confusing. It shouldn't have been called "cafe". But it's definitely a good rose perfume. For me this is a shy version of Oud Satin Mood from MFK. A day time wearable version. I really like it.
I actually really like this one. I don't really pick up any coffee, but I do get a nice drugstore rose fragrance with a shampooey vibe. It does project quite strongly on my skin.

I was getting lovely wafts of the coffee rose so I went back and bought it. It’s definitely more latte than black coffee, but that’s what I like about it as coffee notes in perfume can be bitter to my nose. It’s not the boldness you might expect from TF though, I agree.
Decaf 😅 I tried it on a blotter in Dubai Airport and I agree, it's quite tame for its name and the brand in general. What are your favorite coffee forward perfumes that are not necessarily foody but where the coffee still makes a noticeable and durable presence without being too overwhelming?
Bought a bottle way back-- maybe 5 years ago? It was on some sort of sale. Anyhow, the rose is STRONG on my skin, and the coffee note smells a little bit like I might have spilled some on my shirt. The idea of rereleasing it in a weaker iteration is disappointing but unsurprising, ultimately.
From the blurb it sounds more like vague rose and weak chai. But yeah I smelled it and was also a bit meh but I have not really been keen on any of the recent TF releases
Have not smelled this version or the last one but I have a miniature of L’or by Torrente which is to me a cappuccino with rose jam sprinkled on top of it instead of hazelnut syrup and the likes. It’s a shame that it’s been discontinued.
I quite liked this for the first fifteen minutes - it didn't feel like a punch in the nose as TF's so often are for me. But after that fifteen minutes it was just vase water. I wouldn't have identified it as a TF in a blind sniffing.

I wonder what's wrong with marketing people these days...I mean more than usual. ;-) They are soo uninspired! Cafe Rose is just a very pale and not worth mentioning fragrance. I don't mind a soft and shy fragrance at all. There are some very well done out there. But they say something. CR just doesn't...except what my preamble said.
Is the Tom Ford brand veering into homeopathic medicine? This scent sounds like the Bach Remedy of perfumes. I have a little bottle of Golden Tears, (which apparently became Sahara Noir?), or can you correct me on that? Thanks for a another fun video.
I had such high hopes for this, but on me it's just a weak musky rose. I don't hate it, but it's not at all what I was expecting. I get no coffee, no spicy or incense-y notes. It is very "pale" as you said.

I bought this today. I love the smell, and it was in the men section in the store. When I came home I checked on the website and found out it is a women fragrance 🙈
I still have some of the original private blend version & on this version i get no coffee at all & more florals - it’s also much thinner & short-lived than the PB version. They put it into the ‘female’ signature bottle so im guessing they amped up the florals as they wanted to make it more feminine.
TF Cafe Rose isn’t worth commenting on. What I would like to ask you is what scent would you wear with that lushious shirt you have on?! It would have to be something very snuggle-worthy. Sincerely asking and hope I’m not getting too personal Mr. P (: teresa

The first two that come to mind are Mugler Hot Cologne and Akro Awake.
Try Burning Ben, A star men by mugler and fallow by kerosene for a good coffee scent

Oddly enough, as it develops, it goes into greener territories… but it remains fairly wan.

I totally agree that there's nothing wrong with quiet perfumes. As you say, they just have to be well-executed.
