My thoughts on the new Tom Ford Café Rose 2023 and my thoughts about it. How it compares to the original Tom Ford Café Rose when it first launched in 2012. I can see Neroli Portofino joining this line along the other citrus fragrances from private blend. But if Tobacco Vanille "steps down" to this designer line, it's going to be a sad sad day...
I love Ombré de Hyacinth since it was introduced back in 2012. It was short lived but later Tom Ford launched Vert de Fleur (and discontinued that one also) which is quite similar to Ombré de Hyacinth. Im glad i have decanters of both of those scents :)
Yes!!You hit it right on the on the head!! Soapy freshness in a wonderful way!! I worked for TOM FORD when this launched from the beginning! The freshness in the current Cafe’ Rose is invited. A winner!
I miss Noir Pour Femme, the masculine one is not the same. I love TF but I also prefer Noir De Noir and Oud Fleur.
My gf has 60-70ml left in a bottle since the atomizer isn’t working and from huge love, she went to huge hate. It sits on the shelf…
I'm not a floral person. I have a travel size of Cafe Rose (2012). Will purchase the travel size on thr new ones you mentioned, before I drop major bucks on a full bottle. I have fallen in love with African Leather from Memo Paris. I think Tom Ford is slipping since Estee Lauder purchased the brand.

Im not really interested for cafe rose but i am for the myrrh mystere! I am sooo ready to tap into the spicy resinous balsamic and ultra gourmands for fall!!!
In my opinion TF fragrances are all over priced. The brand would never since it's one of their biggest sellers but I see Soleil Blanc fitting in the signature line.
THEY are considering their silage or lasting mode is short.
Soleil Blanc is an amazingly soft sexy scent. My clients says it’s a neck nuzzler. Perfect for that luxury yacht vacation.
I prefer soleil neige actually. maybe since I live in a cold climate 🥶🤣 but have a general disdain for snow and cold lol oh the irony.

The original Cafe Rose had a sandalwood base , the new one is just generic Tea Rose, big flop
One of my all time favorite Tom Ford fragrances was Violet Blonde, which was very short-lived. I wish they would bring that one back, but even if they did, it would probably be too expensive for me to purchase. At least I still have some left in my bottle. I still have the original Cafe Rose in a 50 ml bottle. I never heard of the Ombré de Hyacinth until your video. Thanks for this video!
I see that there is an onslaught of Violet Blond selling on FragranceX recently. Selling for around $250 for 100ml. So must be older stock that was uncovered that is selling. Because it was discontinued a while ago! :)

I agree! I’m so glad I got my bottle of VIOLET BLONDE. Violet is one of my all time favorite scent notes. 💜
@@TroyMichael86Violet Blonde smelled too similar to Balenciaga Paris. It was a lot sharper, though. I wish I still had a bottle of Sahara Noir, which was a more watery version of Amber Absolute.

Love Myrrhe, so I'm very excited about that release. Jonquille de Nuit was my fave of the Jardin Nuit collection, close second was Ombre De Hyacinth. I hope they bring them back somehow.

I have no point of reference for Café Rose, but then again I'm a relative new-comer to the world of fragrance collection. I do love the signature bottle though. So for that, I'm going to go ahead and give it a try.

I adore this scent, I was wondering why I couldn’t pick up on the coffee scent until you mentioned it as well. It’s a great scent, it also mixes well with initio rehab.

Sebastian, I have Ultravanil and do not ever use it as it gets extremely smokey, especially as you increase the percentage (I'm very sensitive to phenolic notes.) It's not your typical vanilla absolute but more of a rare vanilla booster ingredient to add small amounts of as part of a vanilla accord/fragrance (if you want a bit of that medicinal, smoke character.) They are using it because it's supposed to be a smokey fragrance overall.

This release reminded me of Oud Silk Mood Extrait, except Oud Silk Mood is much better and lasts 3 times longer and projects much more.

sadly as soon as the House was sold , it is going downhill. Projection and longevity are close to 0 for this fragrance. Nothing new to the table. Too Shame .....
I'm tempted to buy this. I smelled it and like it. Not much using female centred perfume but I started buying Diptyque doson and Diptyque Ilio.
Cafe rose is not cafe at all to me. It gave me wilted rose vibes 🥀 didn’t like. I regretted spraying it so heavily on my skin as I wanted the scent off me. Rose prick is the way to go for me in the TF rose scents.
I have the original Cafe Rose and Lys Fume and think they are really good fragrances but right, compared to Noir de Noir it's no comparison. But I am glad to own the original bottle a soapy rose isn't my thing.

LOVE OMBRÉ DE HYACINTH, and not in the same collection but FLEUR DE CHINE, but I wasn’t crazy about CAFÉ ROSE.

They are different except that they both feature rose and are classified as Chypre.

I'm a huge fan of myrrh, so I am very excited to try that one when it comes out. I have never smelled Cafe Rose. I like Intense Cafe, but don't necessarily love it, so I'm not sure Cafe Rose would be for me since it seems like a less interesting version of that fragrance.
