It took me few wearings to get used to it because at first all I could smell was whisky and church-y like incense. I am very happy that I bought so many Tom Ford perfumes years ago, because now I could never afford any of them.

My first foray with Tom Ford was a 10ml travel size of Ombre Leather from Sephora. It was great and then i was researching more TF fragrances..Tobacco Oud caught my eye…was able to get a 50ml from Gift Express and it was over for me! Tobacco Oud just blew away my usual citrus designer fragances from my college years and it instantly changed my taste in perfumes. That dark, whiskey, tobacco, animalistic characteristics….masterpiece. I ended up finding a 100ml bottle and a 250ml decanter!

Great video. I’m starting my TF selection. So far I’ve only got Beau De Jour and Ombre Leather Parfum. Oud Wood is a classic and I’ve had a sample before but the price point is too high for how long it lasts on my skin which is OK. So far on my wish list I have Noir Extreme Parfum, Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Oud and Tobacco Vanille.
A deep as I have explored in the fragrance world over the last 3 years, Tom Ford is one brand I have really not gotten into yet. Ombre Leather, Lost Cherry, and Black Orchid are still the only ones I have tried (and I love Black Orchid). I really want to try Noir De Noir, the original Noir, Beau De Jour, Grey Vetiver, and Oud Minerale. I also think I might like that Cafe Rose that was just relaunched in the signature bottle.
I just bought a new bottle of Tobacco Vanille last night so very timely for me lol. I love layering it with either Halfeti Cedar, 1270, Turath or even Cairo/Babylon. Love my Tobacco/Vanilla frags so much ❤

The original big four from TF Privé were Amber Absolu, Japon Noir, Tobacco Vanille and Tuscan Leather. Bought them all circa 2010, and I remember being incensed about paying 200 bucks per 100 ml bottle 😅
The brand of Tom Ford has some awesome stuff, and their fragrances have inspired many, many clones. My favorite from them has to be Neroli Portofino. I get pretty good performance from it, and it's definitely one of the more interesting freshies I've tried
As a woman I really want to try Oud Wood (even though the longevity and projection are left to be desired nowadays), Noir Extreme EDP (same longevity and projection issues as the OW) and also Tobacco Vanille! I own Oud Saphir by Atelier Cologne as an "alternative" to Ombré Leather EDP and I am satisfied with it sooo, I also got it for a great price. I can't do prominent animalic scents so Tobacco Oud and Tuscan Leather is a no for me but a yes for my boyfriend.
The Tom Ford doesn't have any amber and the Zino is chock full of it. They may be similar styles but certainly not the same. I'd say the TF is much more similar to Houbigant Fougere Royale and Bracken Man by Amouage! :)

I've had Beau De Jour for a while now and have really become attached to it. I am disappointed in Costa Azzura as it is fairly weak and disappears after just a couple of hours, barely even becoming a skin scent. Ombre Leather is a favorite, too and I've gotten most compliments from Tobacco Vanille. I am completely surprised that Metallique never shows up on "best of" lists. It's a very alluring, masculine scent and it's right up there with my favorites.
Lol Metallique is NOT masculine. Im a woman and it's a very cupcake vanilla scent especialluy in the dry down. I' say it could be unisex, but maculine? absolutely not

Tobacco Oud was low on my list at first. Now it is one of my favorites from all houses. Up there with Royal Tobacco and Journey Man and Jubilation and Montabaco

I absolutely love Ebene Fume and often layer it with Libre Le Parfum and its delicious together. I'd also add Lavender Extreme to this list even tho discontinued.

As you went through your list, I realized how important Tom Ford was for my fragance journey. Pretty impressive. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille was my first really expensive fragance, I really love it! On my skin it has very little tobacco though and it strongly leans into the direction of dried fruits, raisins and cloves (maybe it's a skin thing, maybe it's a batch thing). Still absolutely love it and will wear the hell out of it in the cooler days. Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Parfum: I tried this one just a week or so ago and everyone liked it a lot! My brother has a sensitive nose and in his opinion the opening is a little dense for his liking, which was the only opinion that was not completely positive (I got to try the EdP out now, maybe this one is not quite as dense kn the opening). GREAT performance for a fresh fragance btw, laste the whole day (>12 hours). Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum: TF Noir was my first step out of the low-price Davidoff/Diesel/Boss range (much like Tobacco Vanille opened another even higher price tier for me later). Really luxurious, classy fragance. Then I got my hands on a Noir Extreme tester and was like "hold on, this is even better". Now it seems I gotta try Noir Extreme Parfum as well... Great video, this took me back to several important steps on my fragance journey!

Heck yes, Tom Ford is a designer, they make clothing so they should never be classified as niche. Whoever classifies TF as niche doesn't know the difference between designer and niche houses! :)
My favorite TFs are Ombre Leather, Tobacco Vanille and Noir De Noir. I really enjoy Ebene Fume, Vanille Fatale and Beau De Jour as well but they're not favorites.

TF fragrances are pretty overpriced, but I can usually find a deal on them. I live in Switzerland and I’ve gotten Tobacco Vanille 50ml for $150 and Oud Wood 100ml for $185, which I don’t think it’s that bad. Of course, it’s different for the newer releases…

TF fragrances are pretty overpriced, but I can usually find a deal on them. I live in Switzerland and I’ve gotten Tobacco Vanille 50ml for $150 and Oud Wood 100ml for $185, which I don’t think it’s that bad. Of course, it’s different for the newer releases…
TV for 150 is AMAZING
Tobacco Oud is absolutely gorgeous, and have bought it a few times… really overpriced, vastly overpriced… but I still paid for it
