    No one should be needing Extra help while in work. If people are working 40 hours per week their wages alone should be enough. Here’s an idea for the Government instead of bullying your average Joe and Jo public why not force these employers to pay a decent wage.!!!! or can they only target the weak.

    • @kosmicspawn
      @kosmicspawn Месяц назад

      @user-mr9jw2he8m but it's not the minimum for some, that's why people turn to the dwp and then the dwp just use paperwork, lies and courts to bully those that need the money to just survive, not even live a decent life of basic leisure, and even if a person was living this lavish lifestyle on the dwp (which highly unlikely) the dwp would make sure their life was being watched, investigated, under scrutiny or any other form of manipulation and decite to ruin the best they can, because these people are not the dwp they are contracted by the dwp which a separate company and that is their jobs worth to make the bare minimum living too, which again makes it even more sad, that this is what we do to each other at the bottom of the pyramid, this is just my personal view, I would like to wrong in how people treat each other over money, but now with snitch centers in Scotland that says how bad society is as a whole to me, again financially. But on paper it states that the dwp have to help those in need or vulnerable again in reality that's not how people treat each other emotionally or when their livelihood or pay cheque is involved ofc.

    The price of rent is so high that people have no option but to claim in work benefits. This is no accident. The government are changing the data protection parameters so they can look into, not just benefit claimants bank accounts, but family members, partners, even ex partners. Benefits will have a special code when paid in. Banks will then monitor the accounts of benefit claimants (and yes that includes in work benefit claimants) and report any activity, they deem to be 'suspicious' to the DWP. Considering banks are privately owned and the drive for a cashless society, this will put the mechanisms in place for authoriatrianism and the rejection of democracy.

    I have recently attended a UC first appointment, had to swap to UC because of mandatory migration notice from working Tax Credits and HB, normally work 18.5 hours per week due to health conditions and disabilities, but currently on sick, so attended first UC appointment, ended up with 2 advisors due the first not exactly knowing what to do with me, system was insistent that I was "intensive" on the system which is weekly appointments at the office, my mobility is terrible and part of the reason I am on sick they managed to get the system to delay 1 week of the weekly appointments because someone is on leave and hopefully got me on a telephone/video appointment for the next appointment, but I was also told that " the system says that I should be looking for additional work to increase my hours so I can come off benefits" and I will have to say at each appointment I have to have that I am on sick at the moment, what happens next depends on if I can go back to work mid June after my fit note ends, however that depends on the medical appointments and if the drs say I can return or not, but another case of DWP trying to put everyone into a "box" for their system to decide what to do.

    According to the dwp sanctions are ment as a last resort but I’ve never seen them given as a last resort most of the time they deal them out for stupid stuff like o you was 10 minutes late for your appointment you explain it’s due to traffic or bad public transport their answer you should have set off earlier like you have some prediction of what’s guna happen. Also they never tell you you can claim your bus fare back for job interviews or coming to job centre not on your signing day. They also hide other things that could help you get a job that they are supposed to offer you the system has been corrupted from its original purpose

    Universal Credit pays peanuts which you can't live on. And most of it is spent on travel costs going to the jobcentre back and forth on jobcentre appointments bus tickets, train tickets, petrol for cars etc. So after your travel costs you are not left with very much. Then you go to job interviews after job interviews with employers not looking to give you jobs but rather to waste your time and money going to job interviews after job interviews. We need a Government that will give us Universal Basic Income UBI £5000 a month that goes up with inflation with getting a job and working optional. And gets rid of this awful underpaying Universal Credit and doesn't tell you to attend jobcentre appointments back and forth spending lot's on travel costs.

    i am writing on behalf of someone. They have been denied backdated housing benefits becuase they did not bring a copy of tenancy agreement to their job centre together with a breakdown of housing costs. This person has only realised that UC does not include housing benefits. He did give them his tenancy agreement however they are trying to cover this now. He went there with his landlord and the landlord themselves asked them if UC includes housing benefits and they said yes. A job centre never asked to provide any housing costs breakdown and the rent is stated on the agreement , highlighting all items included in the rent. Can this person appeal to the tribunal?
