Splash Mountain at Disneyland in California is the first to open on July 17, 1989
If you guys are a Disney fans, we highly recommend visiting Tokyo Disney Resort. It's seriously the best Disney park in the world. There are 2 Disney Parks in Tokyo. One is Tokyo Disneyland and another is Tokyo DisneySea. Tokyo Disney resort ticket is very affordable unlike in the United States. You are looking at around $60 for day ticket to $200 for a 4 day ticket.
Remember everything is better in person. Video never does justice.

This ride is better than Floridas in many ways. Its very well kept up. The incredible detail on the trip up the tunnel before the big fall is a great improvement. It looks much more like a mountain cave.

The good news is since Disney doesn’t actually own Tokyo Disneyland and only lends the names and such for the rides, characters etc they won’t be able to change this one.

I’m so happy they didn’t budge and are keeping this gem the way it is!! Princess and the Frog isn’t a very relevant Disney movie in Japan either so it wouldn’t make as much sense as it does here in the states.
Now I can go to Tokyo but I understand anything😥

No, they're only trying to appease the crowds in America. Disney doesn't care about racial equality, they only care about money. In Japan, black people are very discriminated against and there would be outrage if Splash Mountain was returned to Princess and the Frog so they won't touch this one. Don't believe their tricks to get you to believe they care about the common people. All Disney wants is more money
This is an awesome ride in everything : Great darkride with awesome decors, Great flume ride with lots of drops but not too much and... the music... *Awwww YEaAaaaS*

Let’s pray that this one lives on it’s the last of my favorite ride of all time. This was the first ride at the parks that I really fell in love with. Maybe one day I will be able to come ride it one last time.

It will, there hasn’t been any announcements and Tokyo’s Disney parks are under a Japanese company (Oriental Land) so the change in US’ parks won’t affect Tokyo’s.
@Garbage Guy This really does seem to be the premiere version of Splash Mt. The other 2 versions don't even have the Frog which is actually Uncle Remus and he's the most badass part of the movie so it really completes the story. Plus the bee scene effects are way more decked out.
@@MA-gn5nl plus racial issues aren't as much (if at all) something the general public cares about in Japan so I don't see anyone outside of the US and Europe protesting it staying.

Completely agree with you on your description about Tokyo Disney being the best resort in the world.
It really is. My wife and I have had the chance to see Paris and Tokyo (along with the two domestic resorts) and Tokyo was honestly the most superior. Everything from the quality control, the cast members, maintenance, the surrounding guests, cleanliness, etc. I hate to say it as a true fan of of the original Disneyland, Tokyo has got all of them beat and based off everyone else who has been there also agrees.

The only splash mountain left
This ride will forever be amazing, when you crash down a picture flashes and you can buy the picture usually near the exit and it’s always worth it. Just outside the exit though, there’s amazing sausages and snacks you can buy ☺️☺️
I love that Tokyo DL can keep its own Splash Mountain without any complaints. Americans have no say-so in the land of the rising sun.

The Japanese take things hecka literally, so they’re all basically drax, so they prob just thought it was a conscious descision by the American engineers, because this ride is practically a carbon clone of our splash mountain

There are three additional scenes in this ride the hive scene, the capture scene, and the alligator attacking briar fox. I haven’t seen those before anywhere. They were probably added as the Japanese like a more full story. They aren’t bad just some stuff I haven’t seen before. The animatronics probably aren’t the originals from California as they move a bit more fluidly as they are probably better copies but unfortunately they are still all A-100 figures which means they only have so much motion and only repeated motion. They are not the A-1000 figures like the na’vi shaman or Olaf in the frozen ride which have a ton of movement and are easily the best animatronics Disney ever built.
The lighting in this ride compared to Disneyland is sooo much better

@@ihavea1tbshotahentaifolder431 its not even a popular movie in the U.S. Lots of people forget it was even made especially becuase of the era of films it was released in. Right before the drastic changes that were made with Tangled onward. Ill always remember Princess and the frog because it was the last beautifully animated 2D films disney has done. Though the movie is honestly medicore af and really doesnt even deserve a ride😂

@@Ryleeman54number2 Mmm, I wouldn't necessarily agree. It's not "big" in America but it has It's fans. I personally really enjoy the film, its songs and enjoy the message of hard work Tiana had to put in rather than being rescued by a prince. And the villain song is SUPER awesome. I definitely see a fair amount of merchandise from it at The Disney Store and parks, so I know it has a fandom for sure.
They are already in talks to change it in Tokyo too. Not to PATF but something else. There is an article about it you can find.

Just the best Splash Mountain I say its a smaller one but then you have that restaraunt and if you get the right seat you can watch the boats go by

Best Splash Mountain in the world, by far. The queue is incredible. It's almost an attraction on its own. The ride is fantastic and you don't get very wet which I tend to appreciate. And I really like the restaurant built into the mountain. Tokyo Disney Resort does everything better.
It is thr Best Splash Mountain ride Overall out of all 3.

Splash Mountain is an artistic masterpiece, it does not need a “change” anymore than the Mona Lisa does. However, Disney’s increasingly poor corporate environment and lack of maintenance/upgrades in the US does.
If Splash Mountain is to be renewed, Tiana is not well known in Japan, so I do not think it will be changed as in Florida or Anaheim.
If it were to be changed, it would probably be renewed for a popular film in Japan, like "Zootopia" for example.

I don't think they'll change this one to Princess and the Frog. That movie isn't very popular in Japan and while Song of the South also isn't popular (or even available I think) in Japan, the way this ride looks now (with all the talking animals) probably appeals more to Japanese audiences.
They could change it to mulan or if the princess and the frog retheme is successful the oriental land company might want to retheme their splash mountain

I believe this is a mirror image of the Florida one more or less. A few differences include different placements of inside scenes, such as Brer Rabbits house, and the how do you do parts, Instead of a cabin for the second lift hill it's a cave (or a mine), and the first drop is indoors. Possibly due to their anti-Earthquake anti-bad weather construction.
This park is unique in that it has a hodge podge of rides from the two castle parks before it, Space mt from California, Splash mt from Florida, Pirates from Cali (and New Orleans square in all but name), Critter country from Cali, Castle from Florida, Fantasy land from Florida (mostly), Toontown from Cali, Thunder mt is kinda a mix, Star Tours from Cali, etc
But Tokyo's Critter Country is themed after Western village/Texas/New Mexico instead of Louisiana Bayou in California Disneyland that is next to New Orleans Square and Splash's soundtrack is also with different instruments.
Splash Mountain is better in Tokyo and I’m gonna say it!

I can't believe how long this ride is.
I like DisneyWorlds version better in my opinion only because there are a few spaces where they could have done better but to like that final drop 👌🏻
