This theme fits tobey's spiderman perfectly, it has such a pure heroic energy on it, hope on humanity is restored after witnessing an act of kindness and love such as we see in spiderman 2, "there's some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for"
For a wiser and older Peter, I think this theme(obviously a rather somber part of the "Responsibility" theme) fits just right. Tobey's version of Peter is 40 in No Way Home, remember.
As short as this snippet of Tobey’s theme was… hearing it again made me feel like I was a little kid watching the Raimi movies all over again. It was the Raimi trilogy that introduced me to Spider-Man and got me to read the comics… so Tobey’s Spider-Man saving his villains and giving them a second chance… while also helping Tom’s Spider-Man through his trauma meant everything to me. I felt like I was the kids in the train scene in Spider-Man 2 saying: “It’s good to have you back, Spider-Man.”
Tobey will always be MY spiderman. I grew up with him. To see spider man and otto reunited was.. well... an experience I shall treasure for a long, long time. Well done Marvel!
What always got me about this theme, and especially hearing it in context to the story of No way home is that it's a very calm, somber but triumphant theme. It's the theme of a Spiderman that's the gold standard for the other two to look up to. The theme of a Spiderman who's achieved the balance of responsibility and a personal life. Amazing Spiderman lost who was most precious to him, and fell into despair and gave up his dreams of having a personal life. Marvel Spiderman operated with much less responsibility than the others because he was far from the only one protecting the world, and he suffered the consequences of not being responsible on a greater level. But both of them now know that there is a way forward. They both see that it's possible to be happy, and carry the responsibility. That's who Tobey's Spiderman is, and that's what this theme represents to me. He's not perfect. He struggles, he fails, the feels the pain of loss but he keeps moving forward. No matter what, Spiderman is marked by tragedy but Spiderman can be the hero that tragedy cannot beat.
I remember 10-20 people clapping when Garfield appeared on screen. And after 2 minutes our beloved Tobby appeared... The whole hall in Minsk clapped his hands.... It was incredible
“Trying to do better” Seeing them reunite was like a page left unwritten since my childhood had finally been filled out. Two old friends seeing each other for the first time in years.
*I like how in the Sam Raimi trilogy this part feels frantic and awesome. While here it is serene. When Tobey's Peter says "Trying to do better." to Otto, he just proved that he maintained his humility and dignity as a human being and as a hero.*
Never felt that feeling I felt when this theme played in the movie, absolutely brilliant. It brings back the childhood memories and allows the viewers to go back to that iconic time period
‘oh it’s good to see you dear boy, how are you?’ ‘trying to do better.’ so much nostalgia in this movie, it was an experience I will never forget. Nothing beats this movie imo
"Whatever happens I will never forget this words, from a great power comes great responsibilities,it is my gift and my curse. Who am I?? I'm Spiderman." Tobey Maguire 2002
Fr bro every time I hear this theme it give me the tingly sensation when I’m about to cry, when Otto met Peter after years I cried and it hit me hard 😭
Otto had just seen his Peter earlier that day, and Tobey hasn't seen him in years. But being able to see him, back in control, must have been really nice for him. He really looked up to Otto when he first met him. A gifted scientist who made it work with his love too. Tobey seems to have found some happiness in doing that finally, and he looks at the man who gave him hope that he could make that work.
Andrew & Max scene - 😃 Tobey & Otto scene - 🙂 “ Tobey appears “ 😃 “ Danny Elfman theme song starts playing “ 😭 😭😭Otto didn’t meant to hurt anyone. He was controlled by those tentacles. He was not the villain😭😭😭
In the theater, I was crying because hearing this theme from 2002, it hit my heart because this is one of the most iconic themes of all time and to hear it in No Way Home, it's phenomenal.
The real spiderman ned even said bring me the real Peter Parker (edit) sorry I got it wrong it was mj that said it right before ned opened the portal for tobey.
I gotta say….it’s like opening up portal to your childhood and seeing your younger self full of joy when you’re watching Spider-Man for the first time….just soooo much nostalgia 😩😩literally reminds you of when times were very much easier for everybody 😭
When we was kid, we watch Raimi's Spiderman 1-3 and heard this masterpeace. Now, whatever we are, teenager, married, college student, we watch Spiderman No Way Home and heard this song. Feel that we want to back into our childhood again😥
I was crying so hard in the theatre. After growing up with the Raimi films, this movie meant a lot to me ❤️ I love all the spider man movies so so much and all 3 Tobey, Andrew and Tom are so talented. Spider man 2 and no way home are my top favourite spider man movies even though I love them all
I watched this movie with my 9 year old kid and When Dr. Otto said “You’re all grown ups”… I just cry. journey of life as kids to responsible man is not easy.. but Yeah !! “We Trying to do better”….
Man this hit me in the feels when it came on in the cinema. It felt Tobey's Spiderman/Peter was a character who was gone forever, but when this hit that's when it really dawned that he we were seeing him again after all.
I was about to cry when Alfred and tobey had their scene together it took me back to when I was a kid and otto saying “your all grown up” like man that hit me in the feels
“Oh it’s good to see you, dear boy” “It’s good to see you” “You’re all grown up. How are you?” “Trying to do better” I absolutely love the pure happiness heard in their voices when seeing each other, after everything they’ve been through. I felt like a 14 year old again.
It was already a treat knowing Tobey and Alfred were in the film in the first place. But that: "you're all grown up. How are you my dear boy?" "Trying to do better" then hearing this theme.... was the absolute cherry on top. My heart sank so deep. I was a little kid when I watched Tobey Maguire and Alfred Molina duke it out. Now, being 20, and seeing this, literally made my childhood.
Literally cried when tobey talked again with otto And hearing his iconic "AAAAH" scream Also his bully maguire side when tom holland flexing him being in avenger Aside from tobey, andrew succesfully catching MJ also hits me hard, literally fits the theme of the movie (second chance) The way he held his tear too
Man, the fact that they brought back this theme makes me cry, it’s so beautiful. I still don’t know of I can decide if No Way Home is better than Endgame because of this masterpiece of music.

Thank you Tobey, Alfred, William dafoe you guys made my childhood, thank you for everything.
Tobey will always be MY spiderman. I grew up with him. To see spider man and otto reunited was.. well... an experience I shall treasure for a long, long time. Well done Marvel!
Whoever is reading this i just want to inform u that i've animated doc oct tobey scene so u can check it out on my channel if u want :/
It's amazing, how a few musical notes can bring so much nostalgia and hidden memories.
When I hear this... I can hear him saying "Whatever comes our way, whatever battle we have raging inside us, we always have a choice..."
Beautifully said
I remember 10-20 people clapping when Garfield appeared on screen. And after 2 minutes our beloved Tobby appeared... The whole hall in Minsk clapped his hands.... It was incredible
This is a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life, thanks to Marvel.
"It's good to have you back, Spider-Man..."
“Trying to do better”
Seeing them reunite was like a page left unwritten since my childhood had finally been filled out. Two old friends seeing each other for the first time in years.
i’ve waited for years to hear this theme again good to have you back tobey ❤️😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️🥺🥺🥺
I got goosebumps when I heard his theme, pure nostalgia.
Hearing Tobey's and Andrew's theme felt like coming home again
*I like how in the Sam Raimi trilogy this part feels frantic and awesome. While here it is serene. When Tobey's Peter says "Trying to do better." to Otto, he just proved that he maintained his humility and dignity as a human being and as a hero.*
“Trying to do better”
Thank you Peter (Tobey Maguire). You always understood us
Never felt that feeling I felt when this theme played in the movie, absolutely brilliant. It brings back the childhood memories and allows the viewers to go back to that iconic time period

My grandpa enjoyed the tobey maguire movies. I wish he was here to hear it again😭
Your pop is still with you in spirit and in your memories. I’m sure he enjoyed the film with you. ☺️
:(
I hope this gets played at Toby Maguire’s funeral. This would be a perfect send off to a Legend.
This would 100% play
what the heck
He cant die, what do you mean ?
What xD

Man you have no idea how much I love his theme. brings back memories.
Fr bro every time I hear this theme it give me the tingly sensation when I’m about to cry, when Otto met Peter after years I cried and it hit me hard 😭
Tobey Maguire's theme is always legend❤
Otto had just seen his Peter earlier that day, and Tobey hasn't seen him in years. But being able to see him, back in control, must have been really nice for him. He really looked up to Otto when he first met him. A gifted scientist who made it work with his love too. Tobey seems to have found some happiness in doing that finally, and he looks at the man who gave him hope that he could make that work.
When Tobey is having a moment with otto and this OG theme is playing omg hit me in the feels deep❤🙏🏼😭
this literally makes me tear up everytime I listen to it
Still the best live action Spiderman in my eyes . Not perfect but he had the heart the intelligence and the will
Don't forget about the pizza time, too
He had the intelligence. Which is a gift. And he used it for the good of mankind
Andrew & Max scene - 😃
Tobey & Otto scene - 🙂
“ Tobey appears “ 😃
“ Danny Elfman theme song starts playing “
😭 😭😭Otto didn’t meant to hurt anyone. He was controlled by those tentacles. He was not the villain😭😭😭
The Responsibility theme the definitive theme for Spider-Man!!! It perfectly represents the person he is.
i swear this theme bring back my childhood memories 😢
Gives me literal goosebumps, all the childhood memories
Y’all don’t understand; when you grew up with this, and then to hear it again after all those years. Wooow!!
In the theater, I was crying because hearing this theme from 2002, it hit my heart because this is one of the most iconic themes of all time and to hear it in No Way Home, it's phenomenal.
0:05 when those first notes hit… my heart stops for a second
So heavenly
The real spiderman ned even said bring me the real Peter Parker (edit) sorry I got it wrong it was mj that said it right before ned opened the portal for tobey.
Write that down
Really brings a tear to my eye listening to it. My childhood.
Spider man 2 and no way home are my top favourite spider man movies even though I love them all
Same!
im here’s the same bc tobey is my childhood spider man
Imagine crying over a movie.
When this theme hit, I am not ashamed to admit that I got chills up and down my spine, and tears in my eyes.
I watched this movie with my 9 year old kid and When Dr. Otto said “You’re all grown ups”… I just cry. journey of life as kids to responsible man is not easy.. but Yeah !! “We Trying to do better”….
even if we got everything we needed, i still wanted Tobey saying the uncle ben quote to Tom
When Tobey cured Flint and in the background this theme was playing as well as When Tobey met with Doc Ock I got tears in my eyes.
We are back, 20 years later.. With a tear in the eye 🥲

Tobey's Spiderman brings me the feeling of hope. The True Hero
I just want to go back to last december, hearing this even 8 months later brings me tears of joy
When Otto said to Peter “you’re all grown up” he was really talking to us
“Oh it’s good to see you, dear boy”
“It’s good to see you”
“You’re all grown up. How are you?”
“Trying to do better”
I absolutely love the pure happiness heard in their voices when seeing each other, after everything they’ve been through.
“ you’re all grown up “
Otto wasn’t just talking to peter, he was talking to all of us.
What an absolute pleasure to hear this score hit the big screen again...
When the world needed him the most
He came backkk
This just FEELS like Spider-Man standing on a tall building overlooking sunny New-York.
Literally cried when tobey talked again with otto
And hearing his iconic "AAAAH" scream
Also his bully maguire side when tom holland flexing him being in avenger
Aside from tobey, andrew succesfully catching MJ also hits me hard, literally fits the theme of the movie (second chance)
The way he held his tear too
Man, the fact that they brought back this theme makes me cry, it’s so beautiful. I still don’t know of I can decide if No Way Home is better than Endgame because of this masterpiece of music.
Why do I find so much comfort in this? It takes me back to feeling that's just I can't even describe it lol
