Kinda sad that Dr. Octavius died at the end of the old Spiderman movie. A lot of people seem to forget that without the arms scrambling his brain that he was a genuine friendly guy with high aspirations for science and engineering. Seeing his reunion with Peter and how much he actually cared about him hits hard.

I’m hoping, if we do get a Spider-Man 4 (Tobey’s universe), it addresses the changes that will’ve happened due to the villains being cured.
I get that it’ll be multiple new timelines created as opposed to “changing history”, as it were… but somehow including a way to show these new universes.
Like, Osbourn is no longer fighting against the Goblin alter ego when he comes back, so he never has that final fight with Peter, thus doesn’t die. What happens next? It would mean that in that new timeline, Harry doesn’t go nuts trying to kill Spider-Man… Maybe Osbourn helps Octavius perfect his sun machine, etc.
Then you have a universe for Octavius. He’d pop back in right before his machine goes haywire, and manages to shut it down or destroy it with Peter’s help, rather than sacrificing himself.
He then takes the Arc Reactor he still had hold of, reverse engineering it to help create a better future for his new timeline.
So much potential for storylines that they could explore…

@@javiersandoval29 Damn man. I mean, idk how crazy it must feel for you if you were a kid in 2004. Means you were born in like mid 90s, right? 93-96 or so? I grew up on that trilogy as a kid too, although I was born in 2003, so the movies are a time stamp of your childhood, and more a time stamp of my birth. Crazy seeing moving like the first Pirates of the Carribean where Johnny Depp looks so much more youthfully. He was about exactly 40 when that movie was relased so 39, maybe 38 when filming, and obviously he's always aged well, but at 39 that's still pretty damn young, and he didn't have to try and look young cause he was still a handsome, perfect skinned devilm I digress, but my point is that movie came out a little over 5 months after I was born, and to see that movie, always a favorite, and see all the cast, from Geoffrey Rush, to Orlando Bloom and Kiara Knightley all so young is just really weird in perspective with my life. Same with the first Spiderman movie and others from around 2003. The movies feel so young, and they aren't OLD by any means, but Johnny Depp is near 60, y'know and 2003 just keeps getting further away. I grew up with those movies that walked so this whole Disney ran, heavily profitable and constsntly fan servicing MCU thing could run, yknow? Hell I loved the first 2012 Avengers, I mean it was so awesome to me that those characters were actually together like that. Now you see it all the time and the luster is gone, and the Avengers are so much different, I mean 3 of their OG members are gone, one is half himself, one is retired, and one is Thor so he kinda does whatever he wants so. But my point is, these time stamps really put your life into perspective, and it's just crazy. Like I said, if you were a kid when Spiderman came out? Damn man that's crazy. Hitting 20 has been so weird for me, and I feel 18 still, and at 19 felt 17, but when I'm 25, or 30? Heavens. Time is a fickle beast. I mean in 5 years idk that the first POTC will feel that old. But Johnny Depp will feel old where he was once young. Kiara Knightley went from a young girl to a beautiful, maturing woman. Orlando Bloom was a young man, now he's got a dad bod and preparing to go over the hill. Wtf man.... Anyways, it's just crazy. Best of luck to you

Where he is truly fish out of Water and he learned about the New World for a short period of time for 2 whole days. When he is both a bad guy and a good guy at the same time. Norman Osborn had a definate arc as well...From a relatively well-meaning but success-focused at the expense of family business tycoon, to the Jekyll and Hyde persona of the Goblin, who was his drive to succeed amped to literally insane levels...his depiction in this film in the brief, (how brief is up for discussion) time where the Goblin let Norman drive for awhile was a facinating counterpoint to once his dark half took control again...just like in the first movie, he had a GREAT respect for intilllect (remeber the scene in the first movie where he was so impressed by Peter, who clearly had the brilliance to succeed...after chastising his son, who did NOT...shades of the Goblin peeking through) and proceeded to live up to his mantra "go for the Heart." Much like Otto, Norman MEANT well..but accidentally shackled himself to a monster...albiet with a few degrees more of foolhardiness at delibrately using the serum on himsellf, wheras Otto's accident WAS purely accidental)

For the past year or so there's been a really great fanfic series being written that basically explores Norman and Otto's survival and the changes that it caused. In the story, the villains are displaced and then return to that universe with dual memories basically. Well aside from the ones from Peter 3's universe obviously. For most of them it wasn't too bad, but when Peter got displaced and returned, he had 20 plus years of different memories to sort through. One of the things that was changed was Harry's fate: without Norman's death, he didn't become the New Goblin and Otto was able to build a machine to remove and destroy the symbiote which saved Eddie Brock too. When Flint returned cured a few years later, they learned the truth about what would've happened to Harry if they hadn't been saved. Near the end of that story, Eddie broke out of prison and teamed up with some crazy hunter guy who eventually killed him. Before dying, he warned Norman and Miles Morales that something was coming that Venom referred to as The Progenitor.
The most recent story reunites everyone: by the time that Peter 2 returns to his world, Otto has come up with a transporter to bring them all back together again with 20 years of work and the help of that Arc Reactor. They even figured out how to restore MJ, Ned and Strange's memories without breaking the spell over the world (Happy was out of town when they did it and so he was unaffected) with the help of Otto, Norman, Max, Olivia Octavius (Otto's counterpart from Peter 3's world) and Wanda Maximoff. However, they're currently up against a being called Knull who seeks Otto's transporter. Knull is The Progenitor, the creator of the symbiotes such as Venom who sends them all across the Multiverse for his own evil purposes. Currently, the gang is scattered across the Multiverse due to an attack from Knull with the gang currently including the 3 Peters, MJ, Ned, Strange, Norman, Otto, Max, Wanda and the symbiote that the Sony version of Venom left behind which the MCU Peter has dubbed Edgar. Edgar possessed Peter briefly, but Norman got Edgar out of him. Since Edgar subsequently surrendered, Peter decided to spare and befriend him instead.

Otto telling Peter “you’re all grown up” can’t help but feel like he’s talking to us kids that were 8-9 years old back in 2004 when SpiderMan 2 came out. I was 8 in 2004. And I watched this scene here at 25. Thank you Marvel for this.

@@Tesseract.2012 Baring in mind I would naturally assume when Doc Ock returns to His universe with Tobey I would assume He would return to either the moment He left OR after His drowning in the river some how. But if He returns in modern day that means He is returning almost 20 years after His prenounced death in the river therefore many people would of likely forgotten Doc Ock or would not know who He was. Just those involved in His fights like the bank, train, and cafe. Apart from these few public moments Doc stayed in hiding with His machine.
I would imagine Spider Man being popular from the 3rd film that He may be able to work with Doc Ock to redeem His publicity using Tony Starks spare ark reactor to create reneawable energy.
Honestly they really need to do a Spider 4 film with Tobey and an Amazing Spider Man 3 with Andrew. I think Andrew even confirmed He would be happy to do one final Amazing Spider Man film as well!

Both of them respect eachother for very different reasons.
Oct will always be Peters greatest enemy and friend, because he knows his secret, but will never break his trust, its such a strange relationship built on respect of eachother.

I was definitely wondering why he didn't just throw every ounce of electricity he had into Ock's arm, guess it was meant to be too fast for him to think of that.
Also I had to wonder if that was spiderman saying he was trying to do better, or Tobey himself, given his history.

I was worried too. But so glad the new chip must have been reinforced when it was made. But I always liked the idea of the friendship between Peter and Otto. Even in the 90s cartoon Peter was encouraged by Octavius as a kid. He mentions being a kid at science camp and an experiment he tried blew up in his face. The other kids laughed but Otto encouraged him, telling him that science must be pursued. Then as an adult Peter helps the police when the Hardies were kidnapped and Octavius wanted a ransom. Peter talked to Otto explaining how he had read all the papers he had published. The idea that they could have that friendship as two men of science was really cool.
