Yes did when the s7 came out as I was sick of apple treating me like a child. Love being able to customise my phone the way I want. On top of that apple is way behind on features. I mean how long did it take them to waterproof an iPhone?
I have an S22 Ultra and my wife has a 13 Pro Max and I honestly love them both. Each has it's own strengths compared to the other. For me the Ultra is still my favorite as I've noticed that while both are fast the Ultra just flies through web browsing and it's bluetooth connects faster and more easily compared to my wife's 13 ProMax, plus the calls just sound clearer which are the biggest things for me. I will say that if you're a heavy gamer maybe the IPhone is a better fit. Performance wise I haven't noticed any real differences but the extra battery life will make a difference for you and obviously if you're already part of that Apple ecosystem the choice is kinda clear
The S-pen is a feature that grows on you over time. Some features are not obvious ( like selecting text that you can't normally select with a press and hold, with spen click the button and drag) and translation of selected text.. Cropping photos.. Browsing through gallery and hovering over pictures for quick preview.. Honestly I think taking notes is probably the least used feature of the spen.. For me. But I use the spen daily. Feel naked without it! But... That's Years in the making..
Very useful review. I'm an Andrid guy and I wanted a review from a mainly Apple user to make sure there was no Andriod bias hyping the device... Your stamp of approval makes me extra excited to get the S22 Ultra which is on its way in the mail!
The fact I can copy/ paste any file from the Galaxy unto a thumb drive & vice versa makes me feel like ios ecosystem is too limited. Android seems to be more convenient in this aspect where there were files on work computer that I placed on a thumb drive then into my phone. Also Samsung Dex is a whole different experience in itself if you haven't used it.
@@pbd6488shit Samsung has it too, Im saying I have the option and don't have to keep coughing up money due to lack of space. Plus I def don't trust everything being in whoever's cloud.
It mostly depend on the user, if you record raw vid and edit it then having usb 3.2 speed is a bless because it's not limited to internet speed. Nevertheless the more option on android phones is still superior.
One thing you can't do is call the spen ...gimmicky! Gimmicks don't last for over a decade and still going strong. Maybe it's not necessarily for you but definitely not gimmicky. Great unbiased comparison otherwise though.

But you just can't call it gimmicky. Sorry...that's my opinion on it.
Samsung's trade in + sales is incredible. S21 ultra or the Note 20 Ultra (2 years old now) is worth 850 USD to trade in for S22 Ultra. On top of that there's constant sales, and free items. You could end up paying 300 USD for an upgrade.
I got $500 for trading a note 10+ in. Not a bad deal at all, was worried thus phone wouldn't be as good for me because I absolutely loved that phone. I have to say it has everything and then some it's a great phone and after my first week using it I get about 8 hours SOT which is much better than my note 10+ was
The SPen is absolutely amazing !!! I've been using the Note since 2 and I just can't NOT have my SPen, and yes I own all Apple computers you can use Airdroid! To cross Samsung and Macs 👍
I think the ecosystem plays a very big part of the equation. In 2018 I switched to Apple and it has been the best tech move ever. In 1988 a french journalist did a comparison between a Ferrari F40 and a Porsche 959 and was asked which he would choose. His response sums up many comparisons since then. "It does not matter which one I own, either will be the light of my life".
Can't wait for all the updates the S22 will be getting it's already better than the iPhone 13 Pro Max in my opinion aside from the video but wlonce thats improved this won't even be a comparison
It does not hold up to the iphone 11 pro max so how is it holding up to 13 pro max? Longevity and updates is way better on iphone and the 2015 iphone 6s still getting iOS updates, after 7 year.
@@Randomdude21-e iPhone 6s still getting updates?? It’s no way for me, if i can run ios 15 on 6s , then why do i need to get 13pro max, i see no reasons mate
They don't depreciate the way they used to 😭 like i get it, they're more valuable or whatever but I miss the days where you could get a year old phone for half its debut price 🥲 note 20 ultra is 2 years old and still around $900-1000 on 3rd party sites Meanwhile note 10+ is $400-600
Great, honest review Mark! There's some unconventional stuff here that Apple fanboys choose to oversee. It does make it painful for someone like me who feels forced to move to the iPhone 14 Pro Max when it comes out--basically to play nice with my M1 Pro. Oh, one thing, though, which you mentioned about the iPhone 14 that's off: it won't completely remove the notch (according to leaks). It has a pretty gaudy i-hole punch, which, some might prefer to the notch, but is still inferior, imo, to Samsung's hole punch.
@@RennieAsh Yes, that's true. To my mind, it amounts to preferences surrounding form factor and platform. Regarding the notch, I'm glad it's on the way out for Pro and Pro Max devices, although I still prefer the hole punch on the S22U.
You can switch from iOS to Android. It's easy to move out from a Jail to the free world vs going from a free world and locking yourself in a Jail and be controlled by the jailor (iOS/Apple). You can do everything that the iPhone can do on an Android, but the reverse is not true. File sharing? Just select the file and drag it to the Mac or PC. Plug your Android to any OS, and it'll simply appear as a drive. SIMPLE and INTUITIVE.
Is there an ounce of you that can respect the fact that some people like a different platform? And that, when it comes down to it, this really doesn’t matter? Asking for a friend.
what many people forget is that samsung also has its own very good eco system. Things like the galaxy watch or a galaxy book work together just as well as they do with apple.
I just went from a Note to the iPhone 13 Pro Max (blue) because at work I run a MacBook Pro, have an Apple Watch, AirPods Pro so I’m deep into the ecosystem. I really miss my Note though. So much customization, multitask, S-pen which I used for video editing and that 1440p rectangle screen. On the flip, I’m a 10 hour a day power user so the battery on the 13 Pro Max is just insane. I think I need to have an Android as a second phone just to get my fix for both.
Hey😃 , you must try Good Lock on SAMSUNG, you'll fall in love with one ui, like how they made a 6.8 inch phone usable with one hand without over doing anything, SAMSUNG just works🥳😘
@@MarkEllisReviews I am going too see how good the new oppo find x5 pro with the gen chip is just waiting for a few more reviews first. I have been a one plus user but not happy with my latest one plus nord loved my one plus 6 apart from battery life 😎
@@MarkEllisReviews Good to know. I've read articles that the new modem helps increase signal strength in weakened areas and has more bandwidths to connect to, even better than S21 Ultra and Iphone.
The two phones are both fantastic. You can’t go wrong with either to be honest. So all the Android fans getting butt hurt because Mark uses primarily Apple products for his workflow is silly. I am an Apple guy I’ll admit. But it’s not the iPhone as much as Apple’s entire ecosystem i enjoy. I love how all their products work together so well. You will never understand the draw of Apple products until you immerse yourself and work within the ecosystem. Handoff is fantastic and i just installed the 15.4 RC beta and Monterey 12.3 RC on all my devices and Universal Control is absolutely incredible. If you compare an iPhone 13 Pro to an S22 Ultra as two stand alone products, then the S22 has a lot of advantages, but those advantages still aren’t enough to make me want to switch. I love my iPhone.
I think you are correct in a lot of ways. For me i gave up on mac after two macbook pros because for the way i use a computer a but windows pc was overall better for my needs. Samsungs eco system works just as seamless and also works seamless with windows espcially with file drop one drive and transfers. It was much more difficult doong simple tasks with the ape products outside of their ecosystem especially windows. My s22 plus, tab s8 ultra, buds pro and galaxy watch and pc. So I think it all comes down to personal preference at this point. Both are wonderful i just prefer more open systems making it custom for the way i want to use it and not limited to how a company makes me use it.
@@kaiichinose9590 yep. I might be willing to give apple a chance if there's better customization and I can download files without jailbreaking. My phone works seamlessly with my pc, I've never had an issue with it. I personally don't feel like I have to make any compromise with my devices at all. The extras we've lost with samsung in particular have been painful(headphone jack I don't care about but the sd card slot hurt 🥲. Plus no in-box charger or wired buds is such a shame) but its not like Apple is offering that either. Mac seems like a good option, but my pc works really great and was 3x cheaper(on sale, but even without the sale it was still half the price of a mac). My pc also doubles as a tablet so I have no need for an iPad or a tab s model(latency for the pen on my laptop is tearjerkingly bad, but it does the job lol). I just can't see anything on the other side that *I* need. If you're already in the apple ecosystem on the other hand, I can see the appeal. Its up to personal preference at the end of the day. They're both perfectly great choices 🤷🏾♀️
In developer options you can increase dramatically the speed of the Ultra. Another thing, you xan say cheese, smile, shoot to take pictures in distance and you can show your hand too.
I'm a little confused, about Apple true tone vs Samsung eye comfort. You say Samsung is more blue but the settings allow you to adjust it, so have you tried adjusting the settings and does it satisfy your True Tone request???
Thanks for a genuinely useful comment among the sea of trolls! I need to play with it more, but I find that the eye comfort thing simply makes the screen warmer - it isn't quite True Tone to my eyes...
If you are stuck I'm the apple eco system you should get the s22 ultra since you can charge your mac laptop with them. Also android to macs are ot more compatible than people might think. But ios to Windows is a different story
Ive been an android user since well it first started I bought the 13 pro max last year on release switching from the S21 ultra. I can honestly say iOS is a lot better than android to “ME”
After using the iPhone 13 pro max as part of the comparison has it made you think about switching to a pro device from the 13 mini? Or is the mini and it’s size still the best one for your usage.
I gave up on iPhones a long time ago, after the 6s, to be precise. Can't be doing with notches, so my ears pricked up when you mentioned that the next model might ditch it! Of course, Apple will tout this as an "innovation!" 😉 That and the possibility of a return to touch ID might tempt me. That said, so long as they continue to produce phones with monstrous camera humps, which can't be laid flat on the table (even with a case to balance them) I'll pass! 😉 I can't understand why people would pay £1000+ for a wibbly-wobbly phone!
Those "scratches" are probably residue. If you give a look at jerryrig he talks about it in some videos. Basically you can clean them, it's the orther "thing" that got scratched, and just left pieces of it on the back of the S22. And the iphone pro max has steel frame, not aluminium.
The Pro Max, in fact all other iPhone 13 models are better in terms of longevity, and it’s not about system software support. The UFS internal storage on Samsung phones wear out fast after 2~3 years if you’re a heavy phone user. By that time the phone would be noticeable slower than when it’s new. My heavily used iPhone SE 1st Gen is still as fast as if it was new, thanks to Apple putting NVMe storage into their products. It’s kinda weird Samsung still use UFS storage instead of NVMe in their phones, while they make some of the best SSDs in the industry. Maybe Android or Qualcomm mobile chips don’t support NVMe? IDK.
Actually, my wife and I still have iPhone 7 and iPhone 7+ phones and they seem as fast and work as well as when new. Still get all the updates, although I think we are getting close to them being declared “ancient”. I see reasons to update for new features, but we have never felt a need to do so for slowdowns and crashes. This is one of the greatest values in the Apple hardware & software.
@@lbeetech I didn't, I was just trying to help someone who didn't comprehend the op. And yes, it actually has happened before on certain devices just so you know.
Thats why the samsung note is not for everyone..maybe that s pen is a gimik for some but for others is more than that.and the addition of dex...that makes the note a beast phone..the only problem is they remove the sd card slot
Dude, you gotta use the app tray, all that screen clutter lol. That's one of the great things about Android you don't have to have a screen full of clutter. Also the side panel on the right is a great shortcut tool
iam typing this comment with my s22 ultra, yes.. the photography on s22 is destroying ip13, but in the other hand, ip13 kill the s22 in videography. no debate on that. i disagree about 2 thing here. about battery and s pen. first thing battery on ip13 max pro won over s22 ultra, my s22 have SOT about 5 - 6 hours but ip13 max can get 7 hours, and secondly bout S pen, its not gimmicky, i aware that u need little bit more time to adjust but definitely not gimmicky its very handfull instead.
I am from America, but in Africa now, which is mostly Android data system. So I purchased a S10 5G for my main phone. But I still use my IPhone for cerrain things like banking. 👍
What annoys me the most is that there hasn't been anything new in mobile phones for 6 years. Not even a pulse oximeter is built in, which Samsung used to have in its cell phones. Old is sold for new. .y,,,
Awesome video, thanks man. And a huge thank you for not reading from a spec sheet. I've been watching a lot of these videos covering the S22 and Tab S8... and holy shit it's frustrating seeing video after video saying the exact same thing. Personally I WANT to hear about your own subjective experiences. Talking about the specs and doing benchmarks in these videos, to me, is useless. So thanks again for an informative video!
I’ve been using iPhone as my personal for years and android for my work phones just to have the best of both. I’ve gotten to the point where it’s just impossible for me to continue using apple products. I bought my current iPhone 12 Pro in May 2021 and a few months later when the new 13’s were announced I started to have the usual September issues. I just can’t do it anymore. Apple has to slow their phones down or make the software buggy to make you want to upgrade to the next phone. It’s ridiculous. And this isn’t a new issue for me and they’ve admitted to doing it to save battery life, but my phone was only 4 months old. There’s no way my battery would have needed the performance throttling. I waited for the 22 plus to be released so I can finally leave the iPhone alone. No regrets.
@@djstuc I had 11 pro max, still as fast as it was when I bought it. I had note10+ exynos since launch, and wow the lag In games have gotten worse. Idk what this guy is on about. Acting like Samsung didn’t cap the performance of their chips deliberately for 3 generations.

Every video you put out, I'm more convinced that you are the English version of me that joined our universe when our two multiverses collided. Love Apple, their products and services for sure, but every few cycles I like to use android and keep up with that ecosystem. Honestly used to despise Samsung and their abysmal touch wiz UI. But ever since OneUI, I think I can finally say that Samsung gives the best Android smartphone experience, from hardware to software now (it used to be OnePlus and Google, but from what I've been hearing with all the problems with the latest Pixel phones, that's no longer the case). And I've also been rocking the bald look for about a year now 😆. Though you did show me just how great the white variant of modern smartphones looks.
I feel like you're using the default 60hz out of the box setting for motion smoothness. Switch it to 120Hz and you'll appreciate how far smother S22 Ultra is
If Samsung could mimic iPhone video it'd be the perfect smartphone... Please Samsung. That was what gave me the struggle btwn Samsung and iPhone. I ultimately went with S22 because there's just more pros to it than cons over iPhone. I use my stylus for photo and video editing.
I saw a launcher that makes an Android look like an iPhone. Quite a chuckled I had about that. I like both systems. I've been on iOS for a little over 3 years now. At some point, I may switch back to Android. The S22 Ultra ALMOST got me as I used the Note series the most when I was on Androd.
iPhone still 1080p and less bright then the s22 ultra. You can choose between vivid and natural on the s22 ultra if you like the more natural colors. Put the s22 ultra on 1080p and the battery last longer. The zoom on the s22 ultra is from another world 👌🏼👌🏼great comparison 🔥🔥
I’m selling my iPhone 12 Pro Max or giving it to my 16 year old nephew I am getting the s22U I’m over iPhone as I’ve had one for years I had a note 10+ I loved but couldn’t get my pic on my MacBook but there ways I can now I love the boxy look and feel of the s22U and the s pen & especially the customisation on it
imagine if apple and samsung Collab to make the best smartphone in existence!! apples chip, samsungs ui, iphones battery, samsungs cameras, iphones video quality, samsungs features, iphones performance!! godamn
Iphones battery is much smaller than samsungs😅 but apple chips are super fast and efficient. Apple can do a hell of alot better if they wanted to😅 they chilling on smaller battery, half the ram, 12mp cameras,, and still beats samsung in most things. Samsung try their best with highest hardware and still just match apple. But iphones lasts for 7 years, so if they built the best they could, no one would buy a another phone for 7 years, snd thats bad for buisness:p
Never used iPhone as my personal phone ever( it has been office phone for past few years). I have few differences that I noted. 1 User experience a) Touch sensitivity b) White balance c) Vibration d) respect to user interactions Are far superior in iPhone. 2 Use case processing a) Apple restricts possible use cases too much b) not much freedom to make your device the way you like. c) testing and efficient use of power is far better. These are better for the product but not for the User. Now both iOS and Android moving towards a mid point of restriction and giving freedom. Example, Android notification system learns the pattern and restricts notifications based on your usage. Secondly, it puts apps in deep sleep if you didn't use for long. Now, Start try custom launchers on Android as next step! One of the best and easy to use - Nova Launcher Tough learning and you want to make whatever YOUR phone look then use - Total launcher.
Both overall equally great phones for everyone as they both provide everyday basic functions. The S22 ultra has more features that may be useful for some however. But both equally great phones in their own way. Change my mind.
I don't think there will be anything to switch a user from Android to apple or vice versa. All of manufacturers make it that way to keep you in their own system. Battery life values are Definitely from someone who does not use their phone. I kill my iPhone 13 Pro Max in about seven hours if I use GPS or around nine hours if I don’t. Samsung also has so much more stuff like muli-window, clipboard dual Bluetooth device support. It can do a lot of stuff. The stuff apple does, isn't as much, but it's Reliable to work well.
There’s an update to fix performance on the exynos version coming out if it’s not already out .. I’ve ordered my s22 ultra and I’m gonna keep my iPhone 11 Pro Max just in case lol
If you dont know why samsung made faceunlock without a notch you need to do some researh, they are not the same at all. Samsungs is not secure, more like a gimmic. Its just a camera, iphones are much more advanced and work in pitch dark from all angles.
Lol! iMessage is ok, but I would never limit myself for such a silly reason when there are so many great devices to try. I switch back and forth depending on my mood all the time and could care less what my family or friends think because I am still reachable regardless.
@@m.b.557 has nothing to do with what anyone thinks. Its convenience. I like being able to send pics and videos that dont look like they are taken with a potato. Android messaging sucks. Period. And the S22 Ultra is a flop. Period.
As someone that had never used iPhone, I found the current Android offerings to be quite stale. Originally, iPhone lacked: variable refresh rates, qi charging, high screen to body ratios and software that really enhanced the UI. Now that their more aligned, it's going to come down to what a user prefers for day to day use. Heavy power users and camera users will likely gravitate to iPhone for it's consistency and better power efficiency. Those wanting to have a more custom, unique and personalized phone will gravitate to the Android offerings. Another thing to add (at least in my experience) is that if you're wanting a more compact but travel friendly phone (battery/camera/performance), I'd lean iPhone Pro (or regular if you're wanting to save money). If you're going to want something that all of that and then something extra, I'd lean on the Ultra (and plus to save money). On a final Note (no pun intended), Samsung needs to do something to pull away from it's copy/paste mindset. The expandable memory was one of the great features that while not used a lot differentiated itself from Apple and drew in (or kept) users from wanting to swap phones
Just to correct you, the 13PM has stainless steel edges not aluminum. That has been the case for years in Pro versions of iPhones. That's one of the main selling features for the build quality of iPhones. Kind of surprised you missed that. :)
Funny how a lot of reviewers say about the iPhones battery being really good as all the people I work with with an iPhone are always charging them up in work
Everyone at my workplace has an iPhone and we got an iPhone charger at work yet no one charges their phone what you on about. The 11-13 has monster battery life, I take my iPhone with 30% to work for like 8hrs and I’m still with 10% charge left
That's why I returned my S22 ultra after having miserable battery life and am now back to iPhone 13 pro max. Battery is so much better. Let's say It's just so more reliable in every way.
I love both but i lean more to Samsung to be honest because of the big apple notch but apparently with the iPhone 14 pro max it won’t have one so I think I’ll try iPhone again
I'm been selling phones for over 12 years the best phone is the ones that you like to use rather that be iPhone or Samsung. Me personally I prefer the Samsung my daughter has an iPhone because she's in 7th grade and that's the cool thing for kids. If I gave my daughter a Samsung then she wouldn't be happy so clearly that's not the best phone for her.
I’m in the same situation and I’m a Galaxy user since the S4 but now using a iPhone 13 Pro since a few months and it’s amazing smooth, great barttery life and the best video recording. Also bought the S22 Ultra but I’m a bit disappointed because it’s not smooth and vide recording is worse than S21. It really needs a update.
Conclusion if you're boring or in your 20s (also boring people) and are scared that your mates will disown you. Or you are one of these people who say I am different, unique, wear quirky things and have a lifestyle that is different from the norm, but then go and buy the most generic same as everyone else phone. BUY AN IPHONE Sorry about that DJ 🤣
I always used iPhones ( since the iPhone 3G ), I can’t even imagine myself switching to Samsung. Whenever I hold one in my hand, it’s slow, it lags, it’s too complicated, too many settings, UI is just weird, and I see my friends suffering with theirs that they need to change their phone every year or two. This doesn’t happen with iPhones. You get speed, smooth experience, zero lag, apps run as soon as you click them, amazing longevity, and don’t even get me started on the ecosystem. For me, apple will always win. Also, they’re the only company I can fully trust when it comes to privacy and quality.
Ive use and have both. Early samsungs were laggy but since the s10plus and up they have been fantastic. They arent complicated you are just not familiar with the ui , thats like someone who only used samsung and tried an iphone it would too feel complicated. As an owner of both of the phones reviewed and many other of their respective products its not which one wins its which one fits the consumers needs. Quite frankly using both side by side they are both smooth albeit the galaxys 120hz interface feels faster and smoother than my iphone 13pm. They both have their eco systems and for me since i use a built windows pc the samsung works seamlessly with windows and makes file share and transfers a breeze and is in native files. Both companies are great and its nice to have healthy competition so hopefully they dont get to complacent.
Hate to burst your bubble there Mark, but my wife's iPhone 13 Pro is a bit of a slouch compared to the powerfuliest S22 Ultra with 12gb of ram (not 8 gb) And that's in optimised mode, set to performance mode, it pretty much wipes the floor with anything out there. Just saying!!!

Try eye comfort shield in display settings on the Samsung. It’s their version of True Tone.
Not quite - it isn’t dynamic.
Samsung's trade in + sales is incredible. S21 ultra or the Note 20 Ultra (2 years old now) is worth 850 USD to trade in for S22 Ultra. On top of that there's constant sales, and free items. You could end up paying 300 USD for an upgrade.
It is amazing - I agree.
I just got 950 tradein on my Note 20 Ultra for the S22 Ultra and $100 spend credit so I also got other accessories.
I got $500 for trading a note 10+ in. Not a bad deal at all, was worried thus phone wouldn't be as good for me because I absolutely loved that phone. I have to say it has everything and then some it's a great phone and after my first week using it I get about 8 hours SOT which is much better than my note 10+ was
I can't stop using the 22 Ultra's camera. So neat to use. My 13 Pro Max I left at home

A few people have mentioned this, but no, not quite - they don’t offer the dynamic white balance shifting that True Tone does.
@@MarkEllisReviews You are right,

I think the ecosystem plays a very big part of the equation. In 2018 I switched to Apple and it has been the best tech move ever.
Cheers, Jim!
inferior in some ways, superior in others.

You just moved from your cell out to the courtyard. It's still jail ;-)
True 👍
what many people forget is that samsung also has its own very good eco system. Things like the galaxy watch or a galaxy book work together just as well as they do with apple.
It might be good but nothing like apples ecosystem.

I have been a one plus user but not happy with my latest one plus nord loved my one plus 6 apart from battery life 😎
What was the call quality like on this smartphone, especially with it having the new Snapdragon X65 modem?
Seems fine to me!
Nice!
Eye Comfort = Night Shift.
My oppo has Eye Comfort too.
It also has "Nature tone display" which is the equivalent of True Tone.
@@MarkEllisReviews I scrolled further down this comments section. I think it was a mistake lol
@@RennieAsh So True Tone is not just night mode, it's a change in screen color, brightness and maybe contrast at any time of the day.
@@kind2de yes, it's supposed to match the white balance of your screen to the light environment you're in.
I can honestly say iOS is a lot better than android to “ME”
That's exactly the point - it really is each to their own with this stuff, which is a wonderful thing.
The s22U is still and android and is prone to glitching.
Truetone is apple marketing look in the Samsung's options you can change screen
After using the iPhone 13 pro max as part of the comparison has it made you think about switching to a pro device from the 13 mini? Or is the mini and it’s size still the best one for your usage.
I gave up on iPhones a long time ago, after the 6s, to be precise.
Can't be doing with notches, so my ears pricked up when you mentioned that the next model might ditch it! Of course, Apple will tout this as an "innovation!" 😉
That and the possibility of a return to touch ID might tempt me.
That said, so long as they continue to produce phones with monstrous camera humps, which can't be laid flat on the table (even with a case to balance them) I'll pass! 😉
I can't understand why people would pay £1000+ for a wibbly-wobbly phone!
But if they remove the ugly notch, the iphone might have a chance to be the most beautiful design.
Anybody have a defect with the S22 ultra charging port being jagged? Like the metal around it
Great review
Thank you!
WTF are you talking about?

No regrets.

Worth noting that Samsung makes Apple's screen. So both a feather in Samsung's cap and a knock since technically any issues with it are on Samsung.

1 User experience
a) Touch sensitivity
b) White balance
c) Vibration
d) respect to user interactions
Are far superior in iPhone.
2 Use case processing
a) Apple restricts possible use cases too much
b) not much freedom to make your device the way you like.
c) testing and efficient use of power is far better.
One of the best and easy to use - Nova Launcher
Tough learning and you want to make whatever YOUR phone look then use - Total launcher.

I felt the same way, I switched and no regrets.
