May I know how to authorize the notifications through different apps? Included SMS, WhatsApp, email, etc. Also, is there any chance to have decoded problem with different languages? Maybe it cannot display some languages correctly. 😅
It's the other way round - which apps you allow to send notifications on your phone, those will also appear on the watch (unless there's a bug, like with the previous firmware, where SMS messages did not trigger a watch notification but now they do). The only 'specific' thing is that they have notifications' categories and anything non phone / text / calendar / mail appears in the 'others' category. Sad thing (for battery saving sake) is that Bluetooth is switched off after ca. 1 hour of no use (no notification, no button pressed), however it seems to hold when you move your hand. If the watch is left on a desk, no notification will come through after an hour of inactivity (BT icon blinks on the watch, app on the phone says 'waiting for connection...'). It's resumed when you lift the watch or press any button. Regarding diacritics - it seems Casio thought about it (perhaps it relies on the selected country - IDK!?) I can see Unicode characters properly. So not just Western ISO, but things like national diacritical characters are displayed properly (if they appear properly on the phone). I've checked e-mails in Polish, so you know... we kinda have a lot of weird ą,ę,ó etc. :)

So far it's not possible to select which apps' notifications should reach to watch. Casio really needs to learn from Garmin here, as they use the same service provider and could have done it much better.
Whatever triggers a notification on your phone (you allowed it on the phone for a specific app to show notifications), appears on the watch. The only limitation is that there are no dedicated icons for all those apps and they all appear as one ("other") category. Still it makes no difference, as once you enter notifications, they're all on one list. It's just a type icon that categorises them. Even system notifications (hotspot, battery warning), banking apps or food delivery :D They all come through. You just can't interact with them. No answering / rejecting / marking as read / deleting / pausing / resuming / adjusting volume etc. Receiver only.
Personally i think the part they need to fix the most is being being able to shuffle the menus to the way you like. Having to click through 6 or 7 widgets to get to notifications seems super tedious. I would like the option to make that screen 1 as that's the most important feature for me. It certainly seems like that easily could be added to the software. #casio
@@GiShockGo I also have a Samsung Galaxy watch and it makes it much better to organize. Seems logical to me as notifications and steps are almost always interacted with while heartrate is shown on the main screen anyway. When you aren't working out it quickly becomes tedious and overkill it looks like to constantly sort through #casio
Agreed - should be very simple to do. Also - the notifications can be opened up from the menu screen - for example you can read short app updates (sports scores etc) and even read a short message. You should therefore be able to press a button (run button for example) and open the notification. A few other issues - vibrating alarm only lasts for 10 seconds (they claim this is to save battery life), yet heart rate measurement stays on for ages after you remove the watch, you can’t select the notifications you want, so you’re getting notifications for every email you receive - all of which will drain the battery so make no sense. Also the Bluetooth/app connection needs a rethink - the app constantly disconnects and you have to turn off bt and turn it on again to get the app to work. Recovery time also either doesn’t work in the app and the rc displayed on the watch never matches the app. Apart from that - it’s great!! 😂

I get "other" notifications on my GBD-200 but they are blank/empty. I just get "New Arrival Notification". Does anybody have a fix or suggestion for this issue?
I bought the GBD H1000 and it has no calibration function, and the temperature does not show up on the face of the watch, I press the mode key 4x (HR, workout 1, stopwatch, compass) on the 4th click it should have temperature correct? even on the 5th click it shows activity, 6th click it shows training status, 7th shows Notifications. On the 8th click it goes back to time/date face!!! I looked over all the Casio manuals and they all say it should be on the 4th click/mode but no temperature WHY? I bought the watch only a week ago.

Really disappointed. Changed phone and it has never connected since. Deleted and reinstalled the App. No good. Tried setting via Bluetooth alone - No good. contacted Casio - no response. Basically, it is now a £350 piece of junk. Extremely disappointed. Going back to Apple, at least that works every time. Does anyone have any ideas please.

You need to allow the watc and the Gshock Move app to enter your phonebook. You can do that in your phone, go to settings, then Apps, then you have to find there Move app and allow app to enter phonebook. I allowed everything and everything works fine.
I need to get more out of my battery what can I turn off, or what do I do about gps, I love it, of course it has short falls that will be addressed, in later updates, I just want that 14hrs of battery life
I have the watch. I have to say I’m a little disappointed in the watch. My two main things right now that I don’t like. First thing is that the watch light doesn’t stay on going through the screen, which makes things hard at night. Next the notifications really need work. For example Garmin and apple products your phone rings and it’s almost instance to your watch. This watch however has quite a delay. The individuals calling your phone are probably about to hang up by the time you get it. The actual vibration is also very weak you may miss it anyway. I just think the software ruins this watch. It barley does anything but we knew that. The stuff it’s suppose to do just doesn’t do it to well. I’d say everything is well below standard for the price of this watch. I’d say the GBD-100 seems like a better watch bc of the price and features.

@@sanketnegi1 LOL, yes :) Well, since the watch itself is kinda crap in terms of anything 'smart' and Casio did ZERO improvements in this regards (still notifications are the lest menu entry, still no option to choose which apps' notifications should go to the watch, still lousy app stability and syncing issues etc.) I almost don't use it. It just works as a big display G-Shock for me that more often than not also shows on the screen that something happens on the phone. Battery - 1 year declaration without solar support is probably possible without Bluetooth on. Anyways, with solar charging and with very little GPS usage, I don't need to use the cable. Last time I used one was spring 2021 when I brought the charge level to 2 bars due to GPS active while cycling. On a daily basis GPS and HR measurement are both off. Only BT active. In December the battery dropped to ca. 50% (half the bars). So, with lots of outdoor time but no GPS or HR, battery will have plenty of juice, like normal 'Tough Solar' Casio watches. In the fall and winter, with more indoor time and little sunlight exposure, it slowly discharges. 1 year would be questionable though. Surely, if one uses this as activity tracker with HR and GPS, cable will be in frequent use. If used only as a watch with notifications and HR only occasionally, then if one allows some outdoor light exposure during the summer, then indeed - cable won't be needed throughout the year.
This G-shock looks way better than my Galaxy watch 46mm. unfortunately i cant switch,because notifications are very important for me, and regarding to this video, on software front Casio is about 5-10 years behind Android/Samsung :(

Just got my watch today and downloaded the G-shock move app. As I try to set it up Im on the 'Notification Access' page (on the app) it allows to turn on/off the following: Andriod Auto, Bixby Routines, Call & text on other devices, Digital Wellbeing and parental control, Led Cover, Move (g-shock move), Accessibility, People, Samsung DeX home, Samsung Global Goals, Secure folder, Smart View, Truecaller, and Your Phone Companion. Now idea what these are! Cant find an explanation document for these anywhere. Not included in user manual. Help! Sounds like we can curb the unnecessary notifications to a limit we like.

I am a die hard fan of casio watches, i had used this brand of watches since i was a little kid and man they are amazing, rugged and awsome. However, this model i am having second thoughts. When i look at the competition at this price range with more fuctionality and better os experience and colourful screen. Investing in this watch at this price doesnt seem right to me. At this price they could have even gone with the colorful e ink displays. #casio

I have a question. One day I realized my watch had a different display which had a nice bars around the entire clock and the bars on the side. It looked different, and I really liked it, I started looking at new features and all of the sudden the new look display disappeared, and I don't know how to go back to a new display look.

@@tomasz5274 actually it’s fine. All I did was erase the notifications on my watch and then it’s back to normal. I guess the memory on the watch gets full eventually. I used to erase my watch notification’s weekly so it wouldn’t stop getting them but now I don’t need to. The watch gives me notifications all the time without having to erase old ones from my watch. It’s pretty much a perfect watch. Only thing is the heart rate monitor sometimes gives me false readings during a workout. I’ll be working hard and all of a sudden the watch shows heart rate under 100. When it should he 160. This happens occasionally. Not sure if I’m only one who sees this. It eventually goes back to normal but for the workout report, it will be wrong. So it bugs.

Good video bro. I'm having trouble turning my notifications on. I got the watch about a month ago and have somehow turned off notifications. Today I went on the Move App and turned them back on but the watch isn't notifying me. I'm pretty sure I've tried everything. Went to notification screen on watch, held down button b for 3 seconds to access menu. Turned all on, saved exited and went to home screen still not getting notified. Its frustrating now.
Yah i had so many problems with it too. But i managed to get it. Stay away from any wireless devices, unpair it from your bluetooth on phone, then pair it again from the app.
Don’t like the functioning of this watch. If heart rate is so important, cheaper watches will suffice. Love g shock, would like an analog solar powered watch in this price range, not 800+ that’s available. Thank you for this informative video
They really need to update the watch to have quicker access to read notifications instead of scrolling through the modes, every single time i want to read the notifications.... Lets say I just received the notification, there is no way for me to quick open it, and I have to go through several click of the button every single time....not really user friendly....
If u go to the notifications settings in the iPhone u can select which notifications appear in Notification Center. Those will be the ones that go to the watch.

You need to allow the watc and the Gshock Move app to enter your phonebook. You can do that in your phone, go to settings, then Apps, then you have to find there Move app and allow app to enter phonebook. I allowed everything and everything works fine.

You can go on app and change light time from 1.5 seconds to 3 seconds

When i look at the competition at this price range with more fuctionality and better os experience and colourful screen. Investing in this watch at this price doesnt seem right to me. At this price they could have even gone with the colorful e ink displays. #casio
How to quick access to notifications? It is so unconvinence
@gi-shock-go help! I have the same question. Too many clicks to get to the notifications mode with no option to view when they appear on the screen. Possibly an update could fix?

I don't know how to connect my g shock with mobile. It asks me about the Casio Id. And when I registered my email it says wrong email and password.
I have a question. One day I realized my watch had a different display which had a nice bars around the entire clock and the bars on the side. It looked different, and I really liked it, I started looking at new features and all of the sudden the new look display disappeared, and I don't know how to go back to a new display look.

@@tomasz5274 actually it’s fine. All I did was erase the notifications on my watch and then it’s back to normal. I guess the memory on the watch gets full eventually. I used to erase my watch notification’s weekly so it wouldn’t stop getting them but now I don’t need to. The watch gives me notifications all the time without having to erase old ones from my watch. It’s pretty much a perfect watch. Only thing is the heart rate monitor sometimes gives me false readings during a workout. I’ll be working hard and all of a sudden the watch shows heart rate under 100. When it should he 160. This happens occasionally. Not sure if I’m only one who sees this. It eventually goes back to normal but for the workout report, it will be wrong. So it bugs.

Good video bro. I'm having trouble turning my notifications on. I got the watch about a month ago and have somehow turned off notifications. Today I went on the Move App and turned them back on but the watch isn't notifying me. I'm pretty sure I've tried everything. Went to notification screen on watch, held down button b for 3 seconds to access menu. Turned all on, saved exited and went to home screen still not getting notified. Its frustrating now.
My home screen doesnt show heart rate even though heart is always on - is this watch on the video in "training face" which seems customisable?

Hello,my app isn't finding ( pairing ) my watch.Even if l did everything right it didn't find it.
Yah i had so many problems with it too. But i managed to get it. Stay away from any wireless devices, unpair it from your bluetooth on phone, then pair it again from the app.

Don’t like the functioning of this watch. If heart rate is so important, cheaper watches will suffice. Love g shock, would like an analog solar powered watch in this price range, not 800+ that’s available. Thank you for this informative video
They really need to update the watch to have quicker access to read notifications instead of scrolling through the modes, every single time i want to read the notifications.... Lets say I just received the notification, there is no way for me to quick open it, and I have to go through several click of the button every single time....not really user friendly....
Is this watch usable in the dark? Or i have to keep pushing the light button?

If u go to the notifications settings in the iPhone u can select which notifications appear in Notification Center. Those will be the ones that go to the watch.
