Ben I'm just loving your channel as I have been trying to decide which system to buy for my editing needs. I will be running Davinci Resolve because I have been training myself in it. And can't hide my Cheetos from anyone ! Thanks Ben !
That's interesting to know. I tried Acer ConceptD 3 and the problem was that the fans were always on, even during web browsing. They were at some 30 db level, but that was still annoying.
I'm tossing between the acer conceptd7 cn715-71 16gb ram, 512gbssd, Nvidia 2060 6gb, 4k, and the dell xps 7590 32gb ram, 1tb ssd, Nvidia 1650 4gb, 4k. Both are same price at the moment here in Aus with a discount and dell has more ram and ssd but graphics card is better on acer. I want to use it for 4k and HD video editing on premiere pro, also will be using Lightroom and some Photoshop. Worried about performance and longevity on both but I really can't go higher than the price offered for both of these and really don't like mac os as I am a Windows user all my life. Which do you think is best? Performance and longevity wise. Don't really care if I have to wait a little extra for rendering and exporting or the design and look of the laptop it's more if I can actually edit without issues and no hardware issues etc. Please give me your advice thank you
HI Ben! what is the different between conceptD 7 with RTX 2080 vs RTX 3000? I was recommended a "Quattro" card as I heavily use autodesk applications (autocad, revit, maya, and 3ds max) to adobe suites( PS, AI, ID, Lr) and at times, I do video editing and coding as well. But honestly, after watching many reviews, I never been more confused on what to look for in a laptop in terms of specs.
Hi Ben, thank you so much for this review. I actually saw a great offer for this Acer ConceptD laptop for 2'000 dollars (32gb ram, rtx 2060, 1tb ssd) which is very tempting!!! However, I'm still hesitant as I'm also tempted by the new Dell XPS 15 which amounts to 2400 dollars for the same specs (except it's Nvidia gtx 1650). Knowing that I'm gonna use the laptop mostly for editing 4k videos, what do you suggest I should get between Acer and Dell? I'm particularly concerned about overheating issues with the Dell model...any inputs would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah, without a lot of info out on the new Dells it is hard to see if it will continue to be plagued with heating issues. The ConceptD 7 handles that sort of thing extremely well! Personally I would go with the ConceptD 7. I own a Dell XPS. I like it in general, but the heating and trackpad issues have put a bad taste in my mouth.
i just bought one of these and the fans won't shut up, how do i fix it? all i did was check for updates on windows and now the laptop fans don't wind down. i can't imagine this laptop would ramp up the fans so dramatically just because windows is checking for updates.
Hi Ben, i'm thinking of buying a conseptd 5 pro, but i am niet sure if the laptop is any good. How does it handle the heat? Is the conseptd 7 better? I am going tot use the laptop for graphic designs and photo edditing ect.
Any recommendations for an entry level laptop? I’m going to start a gameplay channel where I upload console gameplay. My budget is $1200, but I still need to buy the capture card, and any other thing I might need.
Hey Ben, I've been watching your reviews because I'm looking for a good laptop for 4k video editing with smooth playback with color grading and effects. I'm choosing between Lenovo's Legion 7i, Helios 300, and this Acer ConceptD 7. What would you recommend? Do you recommend other laptops that are not on this list?
I would recommend the ConceptD 7 or the Gigabyte Aero 15 - geni.us/Aero15-1660Ti-i7-9 Just a heads up: Legally I have to let you know that if you make a purchase through the links provided I will get a small commission but at no extra cost to you, but that is what keeps this channel alive and the helpful content coming your way. 🤘 😊
Acer confirmed with me today that the new ConceptD range will be available during Q1 2021 in the UK. I was originally told they would be available in October 2020 so slightly confused.
hey, I love your honest review but can you please do a comparison between Acer concept D3 ezel and surface book 3, I am really looking forward to it. thankyou
should i buy the acer conceptd 7 laptop or the acer predator triton 500, both with i7-9750h, rtx 2060, 16gb ram and 1tb ssd, i'll mainly use it for heavy programming and light video editing
Hi Ben, I would really appreciate it if you could let me know what laptops you recommend that remain quiet when video editing that are below $1,000? I have seen your video on laptops you recommend that are below $1,000 (great video). I am just really worried about buying a laptop and it being quite loud when video editing. For example, how loud is the acer predator Helios 300 and the msi Gf65 when they are idle and when they are being used for video editing? Also, what other quiet laptops can you recommend around this budget? Thanks a lot
@@BenGKaiser Thanks a lot Ben - I have the following options: MSI GF65 GTX1660Ti or MSI GL65 9SE RTX2060. Please can you tell me what you recommend? It's strictly for everyday use and video editing, no gaming. Many thanks
so i want something like this that can literally do a 180 on the orientation of the screen, but p[owerful enough for let's say gaming 1080p 144 hz while streaming. touch sensitive too as a bonus. are the ezel series as well as the triton 900 the only laptops that do this?
@@BenGKaiser thanks for the response! One more question. Between the 3e 1650, 7e rtx5000 vs 2080, and the tritin, which has better price to performance in gaming. I'm sure it already does well enough as a content art creation machine but if I remember correctly the tritin also has a 2080 with a much more higher price tag? Also how would you suspect the thermals to be?
Awesome video !! I’m a student whose also looking to launch a clothing brand in the near future and I’m torn between buying a MacBook Pro, Dell XPS and Microsoft surface laptop 3, (all 13 inch because I need the portability). I know macbooks are long lasting and high quality laptops but haven’t heard anything on the other two but the thing that’s stopping me is that the new base MacBooks are only 8th Gen as opposed to the other 10th Gen processors and it would be an added bonus to have touchscreen. Essentially I’m looking for a device that will last me a very long time that allows me to use Adobe CC (mainly illustrator and photoshop) efficiently. If you have any advice and recommendations between the three I would massively appreciate it!!
Hello, can you make a video recommendation of laptops that are great for video editing but with a full sd card? This laptop looks really great and promising and I’m kind of considering buying it, but yea it lacks the full sd card option :(
@@BenGKaiser Thank you! Can't decide between this or SB3. The pen drawing experience is most important for me, but this seems to be better for 3D art and animation.
A laptop for entry video , basic edition in davinci and basic after effects but with good accurate color? Budget around 1000-1300 usd... I was thinking in the Concept D5 but I don't find a lot information online. So I am between Aero 15 and Thunderobot 911 pro
They are going to have nearly identical color accuracy, as they both really focus on this aspect of the machines build. :) Personally I would go for the Aero 15. Hey, I have the exact same laptop in the same spec. Really need your help on this. I've been facing issues with running photoshop on it in which it starts lagging and is extremely slow and i'm having to put an app called tech start up to make it somewhat run well. The thing is I did this test and my laptop score was 657. gpu score 74.9, general score 61.6, filter score 69.8. I've only had it two months and could really use the guidance.
