The Concept 7D is PERFECT. But they should have an LCD option available and increase the cooling on the storage drives because they overheat and perform badly under load. Such a simple fix too which is why I say this thing is basically perfect for Architecture haha
In future models the [Turbo] could be changed to a [Silent] button on the creative variant, One that throttles the fans down when silent running is required (less chassis change require to provide the users with the desired mode).
I would go for the triton 500 equipped with the rtx 2060, much more cheaper and not so much less performance. And for more limited budget, I would keep an eye on the upcoming Triton 300. The acer D looks nice, but 4K panel in 15 inch screen doesn't really make sense, not to mention the extra $$
My biggest problem with 4K laptop is Windows doesn't look and work well. Default fonts are too slim on high PPI display. Many programs needs workaround to scale to a proper size. I can easily make out the difference between 1440P and 4K on 15 inch size. But I am OK with 1440P if it supports high refresh rate. 1080P is way too low. I returned my Zephyrus because of the fuzzy 1080P display.
I got the msi gs65 and for what it has a gtx 2060 32 gb ram ,240 refresh rate for $1600 and I bought a portable 4k monitor for my video editing. It can handle 3 4k out put. You cant not a creator laptop with this specs for less then $2300 or even more.. I love my choice
@@alexkid408 yes me 2. And this laptop only weighs 4.5 pounds and it doesnt look like a gaming laptop it looks professional. You can also control the fans or use different modes like for siempre tings or like video editing or turbo for gaming. And that's $1300 cheaper then these laptop.
Can I ask you a question? I’m switching from apple to windows, and i’m thinking about msi p65. How is the display compared to a MacBook Pro? Need it for video editing
I'm looking for a laptop for my 4k video editing, after effects work and general content creation. I have a budget of around £1500. What laptop and which configurations would you recommend? Thanks.
Charlie Lord I just bought an Acer Predator Helios 300 with 16 Gb RAM, 512 SSD and a NVIDIA RTX 2060 for €1400 in France. Check if you can found some discount in fiable online retailers for this one. It will cover your needs.
I need suggestions, transitioning from mac to windows, i need a laptop mainly for 3d animation and editing. But i cant find anything thats good for both at the same time.
@@Alejandro-pw9fq After a lot of research I went with the Legion 5 (AMD + RTX2060). It would've been the perfect device for me but unfortunately the high pitched fan noise just wasn't acceptable for me. So I returned it and am back on my old Macbook again. Now my plan is to build a desktop computer for the more demanding 3D work.
@@Alejandro-pw9fq Yes me too, since it's supposed to be very silent even under stress. I'd never thought noise would be that important to me but I don't want to have a jet engine on my desk… I'm also looking into the new Macbook Air M1 (which by the way is completely silent). Let me know if you get the Acer and how you like it.
Unless ur color grading the conceptd 7 isnt realy worth it as you'll get faster render times even in maya on the Triton 500 2080. Now the triton 500 is 2000 bux where the conceptd 7 is 3000 maxed out with the same configuration accept it has 4k (which is usless on a small screen unless your at 32 inches and above it's just marketing nonsence. The only thing that makes conceptd 7 good is the 100 percent Adobe accuracy but even that on any screen you can calibrate your screen so long as its 60 or higher to give u the feel of your 100 percent adobe monitors which is what I do. So some laptop screens are darker some brighter some more saturated etc... calibrate it and you will get a more powerful all around machine in the triton 500 pro package. Also the conceptd 7 might be quiet but it overheats like nuts. My freind who did long time renders espcialy hour-2hrs movies rendering caused the famous bsod-blue screen if death. With Triton its quiet unless u raise the fan speed to cool it better so u have options with better cooling for long time renders. In the end if both were at the same price I would still get the triton for its boost in performance and better cooling for TRUE content creation. If ur looking for a light machine that has color accuracy and it's the only option you have for color grading I would get conceptd 7 but over all of them to spend over 2000 dollars you might as well build yourself a powerful pc that can do it all and smoke these two units without a sweat. In the end it's up to u but 3000 bux is insane I'm sorry but it is for a lower speed machine with a 4k monitor that wont really be noticed at that screen size but has a awesome 100 percent adobe accurate screen but still not worth 3000. If u want to spend 3000 build a strong machine pc. That's my take on it.
It is interesting. I thought, for instance, that Quadro/Radeon Pro GPUs would only be the best of the best (probably so the case with high-end GPUs) for Autocad, Maya, Siemens, etc. But it appears that Nvidia releases drivers for cards like 1060 series for content creation; what am I missing?
I got this laptop Acer ConceptD 7, I have a static noise in the speakers, and it's impossible to get anyone to answer the phone in Acer, Support via email is also a waste of time, its a very good laptop, but the noise is not great. It's very hard to get any kind of Support from Acer sadly..... Maybe its best to shop local....
You probably have a nad bacth.. you should've returned and exchange.. i would had bought it in a local store like bestbuy or b&h they have it.. and you can return it wem ever you want
You should be able to game at 1080p on that 4K panel using nvidia's new integer scaling feature. Although not at high refresh rates obviously but still less demanding than gaming at 4K
Integer scaling is for pixel art games and retro games so titles without own proper scaler will look good, it's not for upscaling games that require some oomph from computer. Those should be able to scale to 4k just fine. www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/gamescom-2019-game-ready-driver/

Pourtant la densité de pixel revient à la même de celle d'un smartphone, ce qui est agréable.

I think the rtx 2060 is the sweetest spot for thin laptop ... the 2070 & 2080 max q are overheating in such slim body

. . . maybe wait for next year, where older GTX laptops will get bit cheaper.
But, editing 4k... maybe buy a powerful desktop for that money.

@PCWorld Is it possible to upgrade RAM to 64 Gigabytes? It has RAID 0 Support. Is it possible to upgrade SSD to 4 TB with 2x 2 TB SSD?
The motherboard supports max 32 gb ram for the Triton 500.
