I think he should use improvised tools (including common household hand tools like screwdrivers) whenever practical, especially when reviewing gun safes. Younger children are unlikely to have easy access to impressioning tools, lockpicks, jigglers, or rakes (unless you're the LPL). They could get a fork or screwdriver, however, or even an improvised plastic shim.

@@Boss_Tanaka In all honesty my mother used to open my bedroom door after I locked it using a credit card by sliding it under the metal part that goes into the door frame (the end part of a pair of wireframe glasses also worked on the door locks themselves). It’s kind of funny how most locks within a house are completely useless if someone actually wanted to open them (I guess they are mainly there for “hey it is locked please go away”, but besides that completely useless).

In it, our main character says how he doesn't believe in locking his door because if someone really wanted to get in then they probably could find a way anyways.. but then changed his mind because a serial killer on tv admitted that he only targeted unlocked doors because he sees it as an invitation from the owners to let himself in and do whatever.

@@Boss_Tanaka credit carding doors is absurdly easy. Go to your bedroom door for 2 minutes and you'll see. It works better if you cut part of a worthless card out and leave a hook in one corner to wrap around the part that goes into the hole in the doorway
