Thank you for your sincerity, your playing and sharing- I only met you once, years ago at a master class in Hawkins, Texas. I had heard your name and playing before, but had never seen your face and when you walked into Action Sound I was sitting there playing and you stopped for a few moments,listened, and said, “Your a fine picker!” You then proceeded to greet Kelly Barber and your friends there. A man that was there came up and said, “Do you know who that is?” When I said, “No,” he said, “Why that’s Doyle Dykes!” I quickly put down the guitar, because I didn’t want to play in front of you-😂 Later that evening you did your masterclass and I learned so much from you in those few moments. This was the evening that Eric Johnson had given you one of his signature Strats on his birthday and you called him and we all sang Happy Birthday to him. It was a special day and night. I remember driving home thinking what a genuinely, considerate man. Thanks for practicing what you preach! It makes a difference in people’s lives🙏😇❤️

This morning as my wife and I were driving westward we were listening to a podcast which Care was a big part of. I looked out the passenger window and there was a large billboard with the word CARE on it and below a notice about the rise of assisted suicide in Canada ( I’m embarrassed as a Canadian to say that our government is embracing this horrible program). While reading the headlines this evening I saw a story of a young Netherland woman who wants the states permission and help to end her life because she is depressed. She needs someone to care for her! Lastly your wonderful String aLong that put it all together so beautifully. Thank you. Synchronicity is like God hitting you on the head with a cast iron frying pan😂 Blessings from the Crowsnest Pass on the way to Seattle and my beautiful one year old granddaughter.

Prayers for your brother. I lost my brother in January. It is a time for contemplation for myself as well as sorrow. He was my twin and we played guitar together.
I always tune in to hear your beautiful playing, and if you wander into sharing your spiritual life with your audience, it just reinforces my sense of your humilty and sincerity. I prefer to reach God through my internal holy spirit which is a small reflection of my divine origins, but I don't usually favour church life or strict literal edits of the accepted biblical canon, because these were assembled copied and paraphrased by humans who are too fallible to trust. I pray in privacy and if asked "Do you believe in a God?", to save time in lengthy boring explaining, I always simply answer "Yes!" This doesn't mean I object to other people's approach, and I know yours is real, because I see the love and genuine faith you speak of in your videos. Bless you and your family, and I'll listen to your playing and singing, because rarely do I hear real music on a level of expertise such as your own that rings true. Many people at your level of guitar and vocal abilty are choked by either their own pride, or their fears and nerves. Thank you for being yourself and not bending yourself into some shape that might be more popular.
