Appreciate your authenticity concerning hearing loss. A couple of years ago the flu affected my hearing, not as extreme as what you describe but I can relate. You encourage me!!! Great arrangement of “Firm Foundations I Won’t” beautiful granddaughter. God must love you to bless you so.
Haley WELCOME to TEXAS! Thanks Doyle for your long time support of Texans! Your music, testimonies & Good news is so welcome here! I pray that God our Heavenly Father continue to RICHLY BLESS & provide for you & your beautiful Family!
Doyle, thank you to you and your lovely friends for sharing your faith and your talent! I recently retired and started playing guitar again after a 40 year layoff and am enjoying learning some of your arrangements working on a little drummer boy now. Look forward to watching these videos in the future. Take care!
Can't tell you how much I love & look forward to these videos each Sunday. Getting to hear Haley & Emmy Lou sing is a special treat today. Thanks for being such a blessing!
Dolye, always look forward to seeing you each Sunday on your string-along. You are such a blessing with your great guitar playing and sharing the word of God. Great to see Haley and Emmy Lou with you. Have a blessed and great week and look forward to seeing you next week!
Three generations of excellent musicians whether or not Emmy Lou decides to perform or do music ministry as an adult. So nice Doyle you were able to visit with the kiddos and "Sit in" as one of the church band musicians. Glad for this video too as the elder Mrs. Dykes can see her Granddaughter and Great Granddaughter singing with Doyle on the video. Same for other family members of theirs.
I was so nice when Haley played and we heard you playing an accompaniment on your guitar. Something different! Also a beautiful skill, not to play too much… ❤
Good Morning and may God Bless... You have such a beautiful family, Doyle... you have not let your job, (job..?), get in the way of your faith you are an inspiration to me. And reading the comments, I know you have inspired thousands.. Thank You
Thank you for this reminder to go deeper. Getting out of our comfort zone is not easy but with God Almighty we can do anything. So precious seeing this young lady sing and pray. God bless you and your family Doyle.
While listening this morning about getting deeper, I'm reminded, for some reason, of an old Courier's song, "Empty Hands". The last line is "God cannot pour His riches into hands already full" We must empty our hands of the things in this life that bring us down, so we can lift empty hands to God for HIM to fill with what HE wants for us to have. We will never be happier in this life. God bless you Doyle, Haley, and Miss Emmy Lou.
You’re a heck of a guy/ And those kids are such great students! Of music of God. This was such a good string along. The bedrock . What an uplifting encouraging message! Such great instruction. And instrument playing and singing. We really have allot to be thankful for if we think on these things.
@@doyledykesmusic I havnt been to church in awhile but this is so encouraging to me. It’s hard to find a good church these days. I found one and they don’t any choir, which is fine it’s really the doctrine that is most important. And that preacher stood his ground during the pandemic. He knows the first.. And they kept the doors open every single Wednesday and Sunday service. The preacher is a good man and Hunter. What made me go there was I saw cars in the parking lot and I knew they “ ordered” all churches closed but not the strip clubs lol 😂. So that’s that story haha. I’m going to try your recommendations on picks ! Thanks for the response! Keep on keeping on! Love it! The bedrock.
Well Doyle, the apples don't fall far from the tree. Musical children and grand children. Lovely to hear ( but still some sound problems. The spoken and sung passages are a little hard to hear compared to the guitar and mandolin. If you set the mic louder, the instruments may be too loud and distort, but some of your wise words are a bit faint to pick out. Regardless, it's wonderful to hear each week, and I look forward to your sessions, not only because they are musically good, but they come straight from the heart.
After full day of moving… I set up my iPhone and we just did what you saw us do. Sorry for the imperfections, but hopefully the message will get across be in agreement on that. Without a single microphone the iphone still did a nice job.🤠🎸
@@doyledykesmusic Sure!... you must think I'm awfully critical and fussy, but I'm struggling to be less of a perfectionist, and relax in my own playing ( which is far from tidy, I must say. I sometimes forget that I'm not just sitting there with you, where I would give my feedback without thinking as one musician to another, but your playing and singing is to such a high standard, that I sometimes firget my manners and open my mouth before my brain is engaged. Actually I just want to help, and you are so friendly and relaxed in your presentation that I forget the high standard you set every time you play. " How many guitarists does it take to change a lightbulb?" Only one, but ten others sitting around to say "I would have done it differently!" 😊
Sweet voices accompanying a loud guitar!
Wonderful string a long. So inspiring! Thank you. God bless 🙏

Reminded me of a line in an old gospel song: "Step into the water; go down a little bit deeper; come join angels singing, praises to the lamb of God"
Wow. Emmy Lou and Haley sang so beautifully together.

Sound guy mix frustration here- The guitar direct is WAY over the vox. Thanks for everything anyway!
It was just my phone… no sound, man… I intended on turning my guitar down and got so much into the program. I forgot. My apologies.
