      Thanks! It's a pretty simple mod to do and the driveshaft angles dont look pretty but don't bind. Specially if you use the cvd style driveshafts. In my opinion crawl control is better with this 370 2 speed combo with 30a esc.

    How did you lower the blue C34? I can't really tell if it's lower than the yellow one.
    How are you liking the u-joint type drive shafts on the blue?

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  3 года назад +1

      C34 has cut springs. Just the bunched up section. The u joint shafts are still working but the pins are wearing out faster than the cvd style shafts.

    • @RunThatRC

    What brand are those wheels and tires?

    • @RunThatRC

    • @davidtarr4461
      @davidtarr4461 5 лет назад +2

      RunThatRC ,okay thanks, definitely looks better with the wider tires 👍

    • @modelnutty6503
      @modelnutty6503 5 лет назад +1

      even wider offset, flat face tread, barely shorter... are the Fayee 6 spoke rims+tires in eBay about 5 bucks a set. look good on a C-14 and a MN-D90, but just aren't nice on a C-24. might be as nice on this C34 as they are on MN-D90, idk. width may require opening up rear wheel wells about 1/8" higher for full flex, they're offset 1/4" to 5/16" wider than stock WPL rims. on the plus, harder to side tip.

    Should i install a brushless motor on this c34 all metal version ?what you think?

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  4 года назад

      unless you have a sensored bl system you wil have issues with crawling. If you just want a faster trail truck then sure. A 360/370 size brushless fits on the 2 speed gearbox. I'm running a sensorless 4300kv bl motor with a CC mamba 25 esc. Works ok in my NN model D90 with the WPL 2speed. For crawling the stock 2speed on 2s is good enough.

    Did you create a bracket to raise the 2 speed or how did you mount it so high?

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  5 лет назад

      Just a piece of lexan cut into a rectangle its not the best mount but it works with no issues. I have all my 2 speed trucks setup with higher gearbox locations except the b36. I didn't want to mess up that nice kit. The wpl style driveshafts they sell with the OP upgrades kit are good enough for the job. The ones I'm using are ok but not great when considering the shaft length.

    • @AcroFPVpilot
      @AcroFPVpilot 5 лет назад +1

      Yeah I am concerned about driveshaft length and angle. Did you have to cut the interior on your C14/C24 to accomidate the higher gearbox?
      I think you could do a video just on this mod alone. Theres a lot of people who could benefit.

    lol yupyup, "yin-yang" "Siamesed" #316 gearboxes dual 130 motors is nice for trail walking speeds, same for the HobbyDaddy "just add a motor" dual 130's on the #316 gearbox so all 4 wheels are joined through a common gear train, my red C-24 has the 1st, C-14 with the 2nd, JJRC diff locked axles, Fayee rims+tires etc.
    both are good budget single speed 2ch solutions. "Siamesed" does lose a little more center clearance but really smooth quiet running, dual 130's single gearbox even perfectly meshed is a bit "gear whiny". you do have to climb a little faster than a crawl with #316 gear ratio, but about perfect for trail walking.
    paid double for WPL servo cuz USA shipping to upgrade the Tx/Rx in the now C-frame "monstered" B-1 with MN-D90 wheels and tan gearbox.. want to see it run with lower stronger gear ratio and the bit taller tires that'll help it have some legs. if/when the plastic (shimmed!) axle bevels fail, got set of the brass pinions or a set JJRC axles to lock the diffs and throw into it (are heavier and about 1/8" wider). that's the fun of these things, they're inexpensive and relatively easy to do the fun budget mods to.
    (edit: going JJRC axles would save the brass bevel pinions for the MN-D90)
    need to find a good smooth larger area to take the B-1 framed slammed C-24 mini drift truck to, and try to get video of it. my kitchen floor barely big enough to know the control IS there and happening, but do know at least! such a perversion of a WPL lmao :)

      just kitchen floor, left and right both about 5ft half circle (so many times!) with back kicked out 3-4" steering reversed and throttle pumping with steering to bring it back straight. its not twitchy and trying to spin itself out at all, but need SPACE for the real fun testing!

      I'd have to say the C34. you will need the V3 esc receiver combo with transmitters and battery to complete the build and some soldering as well. The Mn 99 is ready to go out the box but needs more upgrades to be at the same level as the C34.

      Run That RC got the mn99. Will the metal upgrade kit be on par with the c34km? I didnt notice that i have to buy the remote and batteries for the c34km so it will really double up the cost.

    • @Hjerte_Verke
      @Hjerte_Verke 3 года назад

      @@mariopartyphilippines2036 The metal upgrade axles and stuff should be about the same as the C34KM and some of the parts interchangeable.
