To get Anima, you need to open all five of the secret chests in the first five temples, and return to Zanarkand to solve one more colour/shape puzzle. Then go to Baaj Temple, defeat the boss there and proceed to the fayth chamber. To get the Magus Sisters, you need the two key items called the Flower Sceptre and the Blossom Crown. One of these is from the summoner at Remiem Temple, the other is a Monster Arena reward. Their fayth chamber is at Remiem Temple too.
The overdrive actually is part of a calculation for him. Something like it increases the chances of him performing the Zanmato bt 20 pts of something. GameFaqs has a detailed breakdown of it all...but unless you're grade 12 with an eye for calculus prepare to be confuzzled.
so far probably the best Aeons summon video yet. Only minor nitpick is the video is only 240p. i think that is the first time i seen Yojimbo's special move where he pulled out a sword out of the ground. not sure if that is a special move or an overdrive though. shows you how much i know. lol.
WHOA!!! i think that you missed the Yojimbo's intro... But you make a "special cut" of the video to show Yojimbo, man! You rock!!! ...and Yojimbo Rulez!!!!
*eye twitch* I'm a chick. For paying, you need to invest ALOT of money in Yojimbo to get ur compatibility up, I spent 3 hours in the monster arena paying him 1000gil, & then I went to a lesser monster & he just did it (as you can see). It's the random chance that the higher your compatibility with him is, the more likely he'll attack for free
@elamentalmaster in the game anima is the manifestation of seymours mother who was made into a fayth on a previous pilgrimage, hence anima herself is likely female. Also notice the female arms chained around Anima's neck - she is also reffered to as a 'she' during the Luca battle :)
@liquidmetaldefender Anima is a woman, female; she is Seymour's Human Mother who fell in love with his father. She became a Fayth, an Aeon. In fact, Anima is from the theory which Carl Jung says that 'Anima' is the female psyche which resides within the subconscious section of the male brain; while the male psyche 'Animus' resides within the subconscious section of the female brain. He is saying that there is some sort of opposite gender duality between males and females.
I don't have the international version lol Energy Blast is gotten from the little girl with the dog in Besid. The Break HP, MP, Damage Limit is all done through customizing your equipment.
Yojimbo is based on a Japanese Independent Film in the 1950's, by the same title, Yojimbo. Yojimbo in that film was a samari mercenary who fought for all sides, so long as the money was good. Thus, everytime he will fight for you, you have to pay him. Furthermore, I believe that the root of Yojimbo is more than just a movie, but he is a mythilogical samari warrior in Japanese lore. I hope this helps.
Did you ever notice Shiva has no glyph animation! Valefor: Yuna standing on it Ifrit: In burned ground Ixion: the portal Bahamut: The sky Anima: End of Oblivion Sister: the Flowers Yojimbo: Yuna standing on it The only place I THINK it might be is in her ROBE..but the color is too light to tell!
Its totally amazing, this is the only FF that have the perfect calification in Summons Desgins for me, the overdrives are cool, specially shiva, magus sisters and anima. really love them 999999999/999999999
How? If you meant showing the summoning sequence after most the other attacks that was intentional. I wanted to show a free Zanmato, that & it looks cool with an aeon bowing at the end of the vid :D
@zeldafan1997 Anima is supposed to be in a state of constant torture and torment, it has to be bound up cos the constant pain has made it insane. Anima comes from the latin word for soul, so its like a tormented soul
@tsanozzzz there special aeons to unlock anime you have to have collected all the special items from all the cloister of trials and for the magus sisters there temple is in the calm lands you can only get there by chocobo, you need a special mirror and staff to get it, i think you get one of them by captureing all the monsters on mt gagazet? and the other by doing a mini game at there temply.. all by memory btw sorry if its wrong
@lysregdiethel177 For the magus sisters you don't need to complete a mini game at the temple. It's the butterfly one in the forest (so long ago i can't remember the name) and the other one is at the temple you have to fight all of Belgemine's aeons.
Anima is a secret summon. You unlock him ONLY if you got the secret items in all the temples and then go to the place where that big bone fishy was. There's a temple there.
You need to get the Venus Crest (left side of the Calm Lands), and then you've got to head to Baaj Temple (where you get Anima), defeat Geosgaeno (the big fish boss, take armor that protects against petrification, as you'll need it) and find the chest under the water in a circular area. After getting Onion Knight, upgrade it with the crest and Shiva will be able to break the damage limit.
This bahamut in ffx reminds me alot of the bahamut in ff7 advent children (the movie) although it's like 10 times bigger in the movie :P And in ff7 (the game) there were like 4 types of bahamuts ? i don't really remember :D P.S is it possible to do the cloister of trials again ? like when you beat the dark aeons or whatever can you do them again ? I might have missed some chests :( P.SS Final Fantasy Ftw!
there r two versions the original and international version in international version all the aeons can go way past the maximum health limit and damage limit
@unhappylife94 To get Anima, you have to get every hidden treasure in ALL the other temples. You can't get the one in Zanarkand until after you've activated the others at the Sunken Temple. With Yojimbo, you have to go to the Cave of the Stolen Fayth and beat his 'summoner' then make a deal (around 150000 gil should do it). The Magus Sisters you have to beat that one summoner's copies of aeons (meaning you have to get them all anyway)...for the Moon Sigil and Crest for Yuna's weapon, Nirvana.
to get anima, you have to first find all the destruction spheres in all the previous temples, then go to Baaj Temple at X14 Y60 on the airship coordinates
It's the ONLY way to get Anima, so it's best if you make sure you get the chests the first time you go through the trials. Otherwise there'll be a couple of the Dark Aeons in your way (if you have the International or PAL version).
Take the Bahamut summon from FF3/6. If you approximate how big it gets before it starts to fade away, it would presumably leave a crater as large as an impact event's.
If you ever get your hands on the International Version, try going after the Dark Aeons. Beating them all gets you a superboss battle with Penance-quite possibly the toughest superboss in ALL of Final Fantasy!
...did you not play Final Fantasy X? They're integral to the storyline. They're guardian spirits meant to assist the Summoner in defeating Sin (the gigantic Godzilla-Cthulhu beastie, not the metaphorical concept). Whereas in Final Fantasy VII summons were throwaway spells that were stronger than Fire/etc.
The Iron fiend in this video is actually a Species fiend from the Monster Arena lol. He can be hit for quite alot & still stick around lol. Plus he drops HP Spheres for the empty Sphere Grid nodes :D
Lots n lots of training. This was made off my personal save file where I am rebuilding my sphere grid, so Yuna has already gone through the whole grid.
@TheLastCaipora you have to have all of your characters special weapons in order to get the aeons health so high and the overdrive damage to max out. the easiest weapons to obtain are Yuna, Auron, and Rikku's. But Tidus, Kimahri, Wakka, and Lulu's are a bitch.... But Anima, the Magus sisters, and Yojimbo all have their own damage/health meters without needing character power up weapons so you at least have 3 powerful aeons
As a kid whenever I saw Anima's summon; I was ecstatic. Then when I acquired it myself I summoned it once, saw the chain pulling it's neck and never summoned it again for fear of hurting it. Yep.
how do u get yojimbo to do his ultimate attack?....i never got it right i use to give him all of my money and still never use to come out, do u have to unlock it by fighting a monster or something?
Because they got the unlockable staff for yuna which allows the aeons to excess 9,999 damage all the other character's have there own weapons that do the same, btw if you own the game and your on the part where you put in the password on the airship type in Godhand and it takes you to rikku's weapon.
Why does Anima's and Magus Sister's overdrives only hit once in your video? (Meaning, that the enemy only takes damage one time from the overdrives) In my game, Anima's overdrive hits like 13 times, and Magus Sister's hits like 7 times.
The Shiva summon uses Dimond Dust as its override...the Shiva Sisters in FFXIII uses Dimond Dust in their final attack... was this played out like that or just intirely conincidental?
how can i put the save in my memory card do i download it and put it in a flash memory and then run acton replay and copy the save from my flash memory to my ps2 memory card? ???
Hey help me up guys i forgot someting! There was an anemy or summon, i don't remember. He was golden and he had also a golden ring behind hes head... He had an attack wich he sucked all into a tornado Who was it again???
What engagement? I said I had a job & a kid, not a fiancee :P & I do this in my free time. And I've done that too, I'm actually in the process of rebuilding my grid, but I got bored & dropped the game about 2-3 years ago lol
Zanmato is the sword Yojimbo pulls out of the ground, and slices the monster in half, killing it instantly. It's his best attack. As for his overdrive? He doesn't have one. Instead, it lets you use his attacks, without having to pay as much.
I love how Yojimbo's entrance was saved for when he did Zanmato. Epic win.
The overdrive actually is part of a calculation for him. Something like it increases the chances of him performing the Zanmato bt 20 pts of something. GameFaqs has a detailed breakdown of it all...but unless you're grade 12 with an eye for calculus prepare to be confuzzled.
Zanmato is one of Yojimbo's ultimate attacks, it pretty much well kills its target instantly.
so far probably the best Aeons summon video yet. Only minor nitpick is the video is only 240p.
i think that is the first time i seen Yojimbo's special move where he pulled out a sword out of the ground. not sure if that is a special move or an overdrive though. shows you how much i know. lol.
i love how Bahamut avoids getting hit by just casually steppin out of the way :D
I like the sequences for the summons in this game, they are very well thought out and creative
WHOA!!! i think that you missed the Yojimbo's intro...
But you make a "special cut" of the video to show Yojimbo, man!
You rock!!!
...and Yojimbo Rulez!!!!
man good memories. I remember the first time i saw the summons in this game...they blew my mind with how detailed they were.
*eye twitch* I'm a chick.
For paying, you need to invest ALOT of money in Yojimbo to get ur compatibility up, I spent 3 hours in the monster arena paying him 1000gil, & then I went to a lesser monster & he just did it (as you can see). It's the random chance that the higher your compatibility with him is, the more likely he'll attack for free
k, when you started on yojimbos attacks, I was like "YOU LEFT OUT THE SUMMONING SEQUENCE!"
then you added it after!
@elamentalmaster in the game anima is the manifestation of seymours mother who was made into a fayth on a previous pilgrimage, hence anima herself is likely female. Also notice the female arms chained around Anima's neck - she is also reffered to as a 'she' during the Luca battle :)

i love the magic circle that accompanied every summons here... just so epic and magical...
Yojimbo is based on a Japanese Independent Film in the 1950's, by the same title, Yojimbo. Yojimbo in that film was a samari mercenary who fought for all sides, so long as the money was good. Great work!
I've never seen Magus Sister fighting, before, so thanks
My favourite aeons are Valefor, Ifrit and Yojimbo
@tsanozzzz there special aeons to unlock anime you have to have collected all the special items from all the cloister of trials and for the magus sisters there temple is in the calm lands you can only get there by chocobo, you need a special mirror and staff to get it, i think you get one of them by captureing all the monsters on mt gagazet? and the other by doing a mini game at there temply.. all by memory btw sorry if its wrong
Bahamut was my favorite Aeon of them all! Well, Anima is my second favorite
@Minyadagniriel actuaslly i think its just anima and the magus siters, might wanna double check yojimbo
@lysregdiethel177 For the magus sisters you don't need to complete a mini game at the temple. It's the butterfly one in the forest (so long ago i can't remember the name) and the other one is at the temple you have to fight all of Belgemine's aeons.
Magus sisters, former villains. Now summons they are. They are bosses in Final Fantasy IV, I'm sure you played it Amber
Anima is a secret summon. You unlock him ONLY if you got the secret items in all the temples and then go to the place where that big bone fishy was. There's a temple there.

As far as I know, Yuna pronounces some of her summons in Dissidia Duodecim. There, Ixion is indeed pronounced as ix-ion, no z sounds or anything.
I would like to play it again as well, but due to it being a PS2 game it's somewhat doubtful that it will be released on PSN.
Shiva's FFX Diamond Dust must be one of the (if not THE) most epic animations in FF history. Her grace and power are overwhelming!
In anticipation and lack of patience for Dissidia Final Fantasy I've started replaying this today
This bahamut in ffx reminds me alot of the bahamut in ff7 advent children (the movie) although it's like 10 times bigger in the movie :P

P.SS Final Fantasy Ftw!
Doesn't like me? o.O He performed Zanmato for free upon summoning, I think my compatibility is very high :D
there r two versions the original and international version
in international version all the aeons can go way past the maximum health limit and damage limit
@unhappylife94 To get Anima, you have to get every hidden treasure in ALL the other temples. You can't get the one in Zanarkand until after you've activated the others at the Sunken Temple. always loved anima, yujimbo and ifrit. Yujimbo is wicked! too bad i never got all them. ill try for FF13...are there actually summons in that 13?
@Minyadagniriel yeah, for Yojimbo, you need Auron's Special Weapon, Matsamune I think.
@zeldafan1997 You just basically described what Anima is, if you know about Anima's story it matches with what you just said.
when u increase yuna's hp the aeons increase too. or go to the aeon menu and then attributes after you get aeon's soul from belgemine.
to get anima, you have to first find all the destruction spheres in all the previous temples, then go to Baaj Temple at X14 Y60 on the airship coordinates
which are your favorite summons on final fantasy x mine are
1.Bahamut
2.Ifrit
3.Valefor
4.Ixion
5.Anima
6.Shiva
7.Yojimbo
8.Magus Sisters
Hey, Amber, out of all the summons of every Final Fantasy game you've ever played, what are your favorites?
It's the ONLY way to get Anima, so it's best if you make sure you get the chests the first time you go through the trials. Otherwise there'll be a couple of the Dark Aeons in your way (if you have the International or PAL version).
Take the Bahamut summon from FF3/6. If you approximate how big it gets before it starts to fade away, it would presumably leave a crater as large as an impact event's.
Anima isn't technically on the pilgrimage you have to find him after you've visited all the other temples on the route.
yeah, who do you think uploaded them all for them?
@agilityman8 you dont always get yojimbo beofre anima,,, you can choose not to get yojimbo... so you can get him before OR after
It's the problem of uploading with the multi uploader, it cuts you off :(
The list of the Aeons are in the description in order of appearance :)
If you ever get your hands on the International Version, try going after the Dark Aeons. Beating them all gets you a superboss battle with Penance-quite possibly the toughest superboss in ALL of Final Fantasy!
...did you not play Final Fantasy X? They're integral to the storyline. Yep.
how do u get yojimbo to do his ultimate attack?....i never got it right i use to give him all of my money and still never use to come out, do u have to unlock it by fighting a monster or something?
@nejim4r10 there are things called recurring summons.
Because they got the unlockable staff for yuna which allows the aeons to excess 9,999 damage all the other character's have there own weapons that do the same, btw if you own the game and your on the part where you put in the password on the airship type in Godhand and it takes you to rikku's weapon.
I think you're suppose to talk to the Dog in Besaid. I forget it was so long ago.
Why does Anima's and Magus Sister's overdrives only hit once in your video? (Meaning, that the enemy only takes damage one time from the overdrives)
In my game, Anima's overdrive hits like 13 times, and Magus Sister's hits like 7 times.
anima is in the temple...
first you must locate the
location of the temple to the airship...
i never had anima and the summons after...how the hell do you get them 0-0
Shiva is my fave xD i just to do her overdrive move alot xD
You train your summons well. :3 I was looking for something like this! Arigatou!!! ^_^
That was messed up what Yojumbo did. How you gonna cut the dude in half?
That must have taken a long time to make...
How long this take you altogether?
can you go back and kill these dark aeons (if so, where are they) and how do you get to the airship (Im currently at Zanarkand)
thanks for posting this i remember every single aeon again thanks ot you ^_^
i love it when shiva does diamond dust and at the end she snaps her fingers...so cool
The Shiva summon uses Dimond Dust as its override...the Shiva Sisters in FFXIII uses Dimond Dust in their final attack... was this played out like that or just intirely conincidental?
How do you get the Magus sisters as a summon? It's the only summon I"m missing.
how can i put the save in my memory card do i download it and put it in a flash memory and then run acton replay and copy the save from my flash memory to my ps2 memory card?
???
beautiful as ever shiva. i think the reason the giant takes zero damage is because he's immune to those particular elements
I wonder, who's the best summon in this game? I wish that Leviathan, Behemoth and Siren were in this game..
Hey help me up guys i forgot someting!
There was an anemy or summon, i don't remember.
He was golden and he had also a golden ring behind hes head...
He had an attack wich he sucked all into a tornado
Who was it again???
What engagement? I said I had a job & a kid, not a fiancee :P & I do this in my free time. And I've done that too, I'm actually in the process of rebuilding my grid, but I got bored & dropped the game about 2-3 years ago lol
That is if you let your aeon die, just touch a save sphere & it should be brought back, but iono what happens, I've never tried it before o.O
Tell me, does valefor have energy blast in the american version.
The Best Bahamut is from this game in my opinion :D such and art-like armor and such
truly amazing!
... Diamond Dust has always been Shiva's special attack. ever since she was first introduced in Final Fantasy 3 on the nes.
How did you get so much HP and MP for Valefor? Is there a way to level up aeons, and if so, how?
howd you get yojimbo? im already in the cave after i killed seymour flux
I love shiva! she's intimidating, graceful and beautful at the same time!
Yeah, it's actually Seymour's mother. When you get Anima there's a whole scene explaining it.
still tryna figure how did Seymour's mother come to look like Anima?
Hellfire looks so awesome in this :D but why did it do 0 damage? o.O
The aeons are very useful in this game!!
i cant belive how many people didnt like this game just because it had turn based things. It is still and always shall be my favorite final fantasy
is it just me or does yojimbo resemble gilgamesh? also with the dog the resemblance to the ff xii version is even greater
wtf, bahamuts special is ripping of Blood-X's alpha strike from mechassault...:\
shiva in FFX had the most attitude out of all of the shivas with the finger snap at the end
what the hell does a aeon need gil for? do they have after life life?
how do you get that expansion of HP of the aeons????
How the heck does "Reppageki" MISS a STATIONARY Aeon? O.o
I've played FFX for many hours, but this is the first time I've ever seen Zanmato. I bet I can guess how you've spent most of your 3 hours! :)
You have level 99 maxed out summons but it took you 3 hours to pull off a Zanamto?
Onion Knight? :O where could I find it?
Zanmato is the sword Yojimbo pulls out of the ground, and slices the monster in half, killing it instantly. It's his best attack. As for his overdrive? He doesn't have one. Instead, it lets you use his attacks, without having to pay as much.
How many hours of game you had at this point?
@hoodedhunterl4d awwh, seriously u never played this before..???
the names of the summons (aeons in FFX) are listed in the description box...
