Not bad, it’s amazing how that software/program that you’re using doesn’t cause any holes or glitches within the already originally placed files. There’s a lot of math and coding behind those files and anything that’s missing from the original data would cause the game not to run or bug out. The modern program/software that you’re using keeps the original data/coding in tact, it’s amazing what we can do now. You just imported the data/models and you were able to edit them pixel by pixel through unreal engine.
It's amazing what game developers have accomplished. This guy alone spent a few months on this project. We have game devs out here doing some serious work
FFX is my all time favourite game, I still have my ps2 disk and memory card with 11 months of in game time on it...this makes me soo happy... we all need a ue5 remake ... if you take off and can pay for help, I'll work on this with you no problem! 😊 amazing video fella!!!!
blender also has a hotkey for "flipping" or correcting normals. In Edit mode, if you select all faces of a mesh and hit SHIFT + N it will run a process on it to try and recalculate it all.
Good work, so nice to see Besaid. Tidus running looks awkward/clumsy in the lower body. I always liked his running style in the original because of the arm movement and long steps you could really feel his athletic background. Made the field mode more vivid.
Love it. My only gripe is the camera angles. Tidus looks bigger, and the map looks smaller, even though the sizes are probably accurate. But man does it looks beautiful. I hope you have more.
Absolutely stellar work! Probably my favorite game of all time, and seeing it like this makes me whish there was a remade version that was up to modern graphics standards. Square will have a high bar to climb over to match or exceed the quality and passion of your work if they ever want to do a remake of FFX.

Very gorgeous. I would LOVE to play a modern adaptation of Final Fantasy X I played as a kid and just recently played 16 for the first time. I haven’t been a big gamer since the PS2 days and the modern graphics in 16 really impressed me. The 7 remakes are next on my list, but thinking about those makes me hope and pray we will get something like that for 10

This is the only game i keep all the time with me since i first played it like 24 years ago and im 43 yo right now😅. First played it with ps2, then the pc and laptop, now im playing it with my smartphone😅 Seeing someone do this today is amazing, there are still ppl share the same excitement with me to the game. My first and favorite final fantasy. I always wished they would give this game the same treatment graphically that they did with final fantasy 7. Although sadly it felt like this game was overshadowed by the rest of the series. Glad to see what a remaster could look like!

I love this, however there are a few things that need some more work. The floor in the temple is too reflective, this might be due to it being a flat surface. You can modify the normals so that it looks 3D without altering the mesh or you could use the texture itself to create the 3D mesh (blender can do this so I think UE also would). The other is Tidus movement. The problem is likely that in the original game he floated in air a lot, while here is tied to the ground

Like he kind of floats while running. Yours is realistic but his run in OG was kind of wider and floatier (my first time using that word lol) I don't know if that makes sense. It's less realistic than yours though
even though the FFX remake has been all but confirmed. its gonna be sad when it happens, cause we all know it aint going to have that 1 to 1 comparison with upscaled graphics, locations and designs are def going to be different, but at least we have this to see the "what if"
