Hi there hope you are okay, I just want to say when I open the box and I watched a few videos this scared the heck out of me as I am not that techie. I panicked and was minutes from sending them back to Amazon. Until I watched this video I can’t believe how are you calm someone down with a very exceptional video. Keep up the good work
Thank you, very helpful. I made a mistake of going out and do interviews and realized later on that the sound was off the "ALWAYS ON" option is really a must
So I’m a noob on audio and recently purchased the ride wireless go 2. I have a simple question that I’m having difficulty getting an answer to. Should I always plug the ride wireless into the camera port? I saw a video editor say it was best to have audio on the ride and on the camera itself. If I plug it in then I’m only using the rode wireless correct and audio saving to the SD card on the camera or both the rode wireless go 2 and the camera along with video? I need to know this to help find the audio in editing. Thanks for any help and I’m happy to get this answered by anyone. Thanks
Hi, yes recording audio in camera will make it easier when you edit. If you want to record on the transmitter at the same time however you need to enable that feature because it’s not on as default, cheers.
Yes, it works like a dream, here’s a video on how to do it hope it helps RODE WIRELESS GO II Connect to a mobile phone and how to use the Rode Interview Go ruclips.net/video/AOngvqYcndE/видео.html
why 2nd channel has low noise level compard with 1st channel. Do you have any solution without factory reseting.? However i have fixed it by factory resetting the receiver.
Hi, yes. If you connect the transmitter to the Rode central app and enable always record function, then your transmitter will not only send signal to the receiver but also record on board. Accessing the audio file on the transmitter can be done again via the app, thanks👍
hello if i register in camera with just one transmiter and you use split mode i can't transform the audio track in stereo afterwards(it just mute the track if i try)...but if you use the track that you have as a backup you can do it..have you experienced these problems?how you fix this?
Yes this is a very good wireless setup for vlogging, dunno how good it is in terms of interference because I have not been to many place with it but because it has audio backup it should be too big of an issue plus rode claims it's immune to RF interference, so yeah. For vlogging I personally would use it with a lav, but works great even without, thanks.
The recommended gain setting is whatever will get your voice to the -12 to -6 level. Trust your camera meters! On his a7iii he set his rode to -12db and +1 on his camera. On my a7iv it is different setting which is why you gotta look at your camera meter. They don’t lie.
Why is channel 1 on your camera way louder than channel 2 and how do you fix it to make them even because during playback the left side speaker will be way louder than the right side.
Hi, there are ways to access a channel and edited it individually within a track. From your comment I take that you’re trying to record on the camera but one channel is louder than the other is that right ?
THANK YOU! this was really helpful and im glad you kept it super simple!
Thanks for your feedback glad u found it useful 👍

When checking sound always use headphones for monitoring. Don't trust db bars only as there could be other sound issue.
Great video, iv bought the rode but I haven't got a camera, can I use these wirless rode mics with my Android phone ?

Can you use one transmitter on its own? Without receiver?

Hi, go to camera video settings, and make sure audio level display is on. Some cameras only allow accessing those setting while in video mode, thanks.

Nice video. Is there a recommended standard gain setting that I can expect good quality audio?

@@florinG yes exactly
Hi, sorry for the late reply. You’re experiencing this issue because you’re in merged mode and you have safety channel turned on, thanks.
I've seen a couple of videos saying that the best level in camera was 3.. well
