Thanks for showing off my Scourge mod. Also Scourge used Anarchy Beryl instead of Chaos Emeralds in his universe, and they are all green!
Oh ok. I think I remember seeing that in the comics but I wouldn't have remembered. Hardly read any of em. But awesome job on Scourge! I liked this one a lot!

The story behind Scourge's color is that he tried to go super and Knuckle's father Locke stopped him. The outfit is something he always wore. The emeralds are meant to represent Anarchy beryl Scourge's universe's version of the chaos emeralds. They're supposed to be purple.
He absorbed master emerald energy and Locke (Knuckles dad) Hits him in the chest and that's why he has the mark on his stomach and he turned green
The Anarchy Beryl are ALL green.
I love how Scourge lowers his glasses at high speed.
I think Scourge got sent to Scourge Forces at the end

Someone should just make a bunch of mods for Comic characters! We have Scourge now, but here's some ideas!
-Sally (Prime Zone)
-Sally Moon (Luna Zone)
-Bunny Rabbot (Prime Zone)
-Zonic (No Zone, Zone Cop)
-Miles (Anti-Tails or Evil Tails)
-Robo-Robotnik (A roboticized Robotnik from a different Zone making his home in the Prime Zone after End Game. He would later inhabit a body that looks strikingly similar to the Eggman design from Adventure.)
-Green Knuckles (From the Prime Zone, but absorbed Master Emerald energy, making it so that he would appear green until the Genesis Wave Event happened.)
I have never owned an Archie Comic, I just know some plot threads.

Scourge is actually Sonic affected by negative Chaos Energy. He's just Sonic, but turned bad by circumstance.

Eh, considering the mainline sonic games have now delved into the multiverse, I could see SEGA getting the rights from Archie and using those characters in-game.
If you consider comic characters, there is Evil Sonic, which is just Scourge but blue.

To explain the whole Sonic fight with the master emerald and to justify your point about playing as the bad guy, Sonic could've been taking the emerald to protect it and he used it's power to fight Scourge to stop him from getting it.

3 things, scourge is A real sonic (he's just sonic from another dimension). Evil sonic always had the jacket and glasses. And the monitors are from a sonic hack called s factor.
If I remember correctly there is a scene where there is normal Metal Sonic in Sonic Heroes so I guess Neo Metal Sonic was kind of like a super form of sorts
