This was my first international flight since COVID-19 began! Been anticipating that moment for years. Engine roar on takeoff is the loudest I've ever heard personally, IRL. It amazed me. It was jaw dropping, lol. Service was great, FA was cool and professional. The PA was kind of broken though, def needs to be fixed, it happens though. Should've opted for automated after but they wanted personalized announcements and service I guess which I won't complain for. I do wish the French Toast breakfast they offered was bigger and more fulfilling, a little small in my opinion. Hey, it's better than what the others are offering right now though so I'll take it.

Airlines used to be so good in the 70s 80s 90s no baggage fee, free food, lots of leg room. Now with these big planes they jam you in like sardines in a can. And you have to pay for everything even to eat a meal. They really treat people like garbage now. It's kind of like how our government treats us now.

Engines seem to get louder, sometimes significantly, when the conditions are rainy. Makes for a more enjoyable experience imo tho

@@aemadix some people were talking about this in the comments on a video of a Lufthansa A380 taking off out of Shanghai, they mentioned that aircraft always seem to sound better in rainy conditions. It's a very interesting phenomenon, I wonder if the humidity actually contributes to making engine noise more apparent inside the cabin
