REVEILLE

- Reveille, from the French 'réveiller' meaning 'wake up' is the bugle call that awakens soldiers at dawn. There are different versions of the call for many national armies. This is the traditional tune for the Commonwealth Realms, e.g., Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Although sometimes also played at military ceremonies the 'Rouse', often called 'Short Reveille', is normally used.
Wait, if the bugle guy wakes up the soldiers, then who wakes up the bugle guy?
The memory of the company sergeant-major's boot.
We had a Scottish cook who would light and immersion heater, basically a large bomb disguised as a water heater. Everyone was amazed at the explosive force he could achieve without destroying it. To be followed by him yelling get out of bed you c.... s 😊
The backup bugle man wakes the bugle man, and a backup backup bugle man wakes up the backup bugle man, and well you get it
Peter Roland his mum
You’re most likely up before the call, as a good soldier is always early. “If you’re early you’re on time, if you’re on time you’re late; and late is not acceptable”
The name Lcpl PDT Thomas on the plaques. It was a bloody good friend of mine, sadly killed in action in Iraq in 2004. Taff was a fine soldier and a great friend. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
james smith sorry he sounded like an amazing man
Lieutenant Dan thank you. Tag was the type of guy who'd go out with £5 in his pocket, come back absolutely pissed in a taxi, with food and £20 change lol
semper fidelis
Sorry to hear that....may he rest in Peace
All respect to him and all other soldiers who fight and die for our country I truly believe your friend died with honor and would do it again if he had to God bless him and all the rest of our fighting men and my condolences to you for the loss of your friend
Perfect for getting my teen son out of bed. Nice and loud.
Ha! I wasn't the only one with this idea
I doing it the other way around funnily enough
Should play "Mechanised Infantry" 🤣 they will be up haha
Clean your clothes to find the King of kings who shed his blood for love of us and on the third day he rose again soon he will return with great glory and power, JESUS CHRIST
That's my plan! This version is much less annoying than the one that were used to!! ;). Gorgeous
I vividly remember waking up for school and hearing this each and every weekday morning. I find myself humming it even when I can't remember where it's from. I no longer get to hear it because I don't like on base anymore, but 4 years of this constant song will really do something to ya. Once an Air Force Brat, always an Air Force Brat.
Amen Brother, Army Brat right here
We're you in the French military lamo
@@saricomey889 it's big here in Australia
Clean your clothes to find the King of kings who shed his blood for love of us and on the third day he rose again soon he will return with great glory and power, JESUS CHRIST

Same. I wake myself and everyone up with it
Me too lol

After 3 years of searching in the internet...I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!!!HALLELUJAH!!!!
Surge: "Will you turn that disrespectful junk off?!"
Fillmore: "Respect the classic, man. It's Hendrix."
How do you figure this to be disrespectful junk?
I'm a Marine once a Marine allways a Marine. One time my second ex wife downloaded revelie on her phone. And played it for me. I jumped straight out of bed immediately and saluted. I noticed she was laughing. That was messed up
Nothing messed up about it soldier. Thank you for your service
230 People needed five more minutes.

Grew up on a a army base, this, paired with cannons, was my alarm during the summer 🥲
Im an Australian cadet and hopefully future Army Australian Artiliary operater but when im standing there at Attention on ANZAC Day i just feel so proud to beable to wear this uniform and to represent the people in the army and those who serverd in the past, Lest we forget
Greetings from turkey brother. ANZACS sleep peacefully in our hearts
Every morning at 5:30, lackland AFB still fresh in my mind after 12 years
Hell yeah dude me too, I went through lackland in 2002
7am for my afb
But this in FRANCE
2022-23 😵💫
This, played nice and loud, was most effective at waking my slovenly creatures this morning! Semper Fidelis.
When they hold the notes for longer like they do at dawn service its very haunting and mournful
this sound terrified me so much, I just wanted to sleep a little more
Waking up to this at cadet camp hit different. Woke up. Coughed out some dust. Ah.
Thank Christ I Don’t wake up to this anymore
I also have to play this at the Remembrance Day ceremony for my school and I have to play the last post then the rouse and the reveille and I just got it 3 days ago so it's going to be hard especially when you twelve but this guy was amazing and lest we forgot for the people that fought for our freedom
I think ours (US) is slightly more "get your ass moving" but it all does the same thing; "move people!"
Yeah
Yes but the Brits do it better jahahahahah
In russia you wake up seeing fhe germans attacking stalingrad.
The Brits and commonwealth: their army is also polite as them
Crows basically you are British
"Assembly of the Buglers" was blown to gather the buglers to sound general calls like this. Just like "Drummer's Call" did in kind for the fifers and drummers of the English regiments of foot and separate duty for the Highlanders. Highlanders used to have fifers and drummers in the 18th and early 19th century.
100% reccomend to wake up teenage brothers.
They play Reveille at the elementary school I work at. But a different version
If you are an American yes, your reveille is quite different.
I used this to wake up my brothers friend THANKYOU 😝
anzac sos
In the Royal Marines we Sound Naval Reveille. This here , is I believe , to be the Army Crimean Long Reveille. The RAF, being Cheapskates Sound the Rouse, also known as Guard and Steerage, a very basic short Call. Onboard Ship we would Sound Naval Reveille at 0600 followed at 0630 by the Rouse, a second Reveille for those that had kept the Middle Watch, Midnight to 0400hrs. They got a bit of a lie in. 👍
At Law Camp we woke up to this every morning and immediately people started banging on the door
This is my alarm clock sound.
Ahhhh, gives me PTSD of my Cadet Unit on Field Exercises...

Lmao the first time I went on a camp (Australian cadets), was still like half asleep on the first night when they called reveille. Being brain dead, I went up to one of the CUOs and was like 'man what does that mean' and got absolutely fooked by him. At least I was fully awake by the end of it 🤣

I live like so close to an army base and I wake up every morning to it And remember the tune by heart. But one time a hurricane hit and when the trumpets started sounding off u could hear water lmaoooo
the sound is great for waking my brother up.😈
Very good bugler, I appreciate this work.
Just five more minutes, sarge...
Wow he’s good not a single breath
My brother from the marines is back for the holidays and I want to use this so bad.
That was beautiful 👏🏾 🎺!!
I remember this very well growing up in a military barracks in Ghana. Then there is the last post which is like a lights off for the soldiers.
I'm deciding if I should set this as my alarm clock sound. But I am afraid that I will wake up the whole family
I would set this as an alarm but i am afraid of waking screaming go go go.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I used this to wake up my sister :P
Same here!
WAKE UP!!!!!
This is how I wake my family up!
You're a bit of a dick, then
They must hate u
That was a rather tiresome “Twitter-style” comment, best backed-up by saying it to a man, toe-to-toe; go on, give it a try.
Never blame the bugler, blame the guy who wakes up the bugler
My boys pop right out of bed when I play this.
on my afx camp reveille was funny cause my hootchie buddy could get up so i practically dragged her onto parade xD
I'm guessing you were in charlie?
Using this on my roomate who sleeps past 3pm
I play this to wake my kids.
Impeccable👌
I live next to an army base gate I grew up listening to Marines barking and bombs tested and all kinds of war noises this woke me up and warned me at all times 😄
This is French
Yep my alarm clock for years.
The things I do with my days...
How I love to hear the bugler play Reveille
Chills.. Memories

Just imagine your a soilder and a guy plays this song and another guy is next to him and says
*WAKE THE FUCK UP*
I have to play this and last post at my schools Remembrance Day ceremony this year but I don't think I'll be able to play reveille by then. Even if I can't my music teacher said that I have to do it anyways and I'm really nervous.
How did you go?
Abby Bottolfs how did you do?
im setting this as my alarm to get ready for wgen i join
I can only assume that "those" that make their "lacking respect" remarks about hearing reville, and understanding (or not understanding) "what it signifies", as well as "knowing & understanding OUR MILITARY instructions upon "hearing it at those time of day".... missed out on the opportunity to serve...actually SERVE... our nation...at home, and abroad.
Now days, it seems the only time I hear it is on Memorial Day... an emotional time remembering friends ... no longer with us.
When your mom wakes you up for school
just checking because i want to annoy my friends when they’re sleepin💀
Thanks for waking me up for school as a kid at nellis
Respect
I just woke up my brothers they dont like me anymore XD
Literally wake my kids up with this.
Still using it 😂
My dad said that his group is already out ready for P.T. when they play this. He said that it annoys him so much.
We need a cool sounding intense battle theme, like from band of brothers or medal of honor

When I go to wake up my dad, I put this so he can remeber the army’s years.🤣🤣🤣
I like to blare this outside my sister's room in the morning. It's my job as the youngest to be as obnoxious as possible, thank you for enabling that
Bugle guy never sleeps and does not know what time is. Smart ass

Me and my friends drink alcohol til this song finishes it’s actually slot of fun
My mom put her phone in my bed and played this at 6 am...
On a SATURDAY
Good for mum! She's encouraging you.
What a mom.
I will remember
everytime i hear this i get nightmares i remember a bald man looking me in the eyes saying wake up dude its your turn for showers, or laying in my bed in the barracks at 0500 being like shut the fuck up i still have an hour of sleep
finally i found it
imma wake up some ppl we traveling and they sleep
Alarm clock? No, the person on guard duty wakes the guy up!
If you’re reading this on September 8 2022 I probably know why
Why?
Fucking hated waking up after 2-4 hours of sleep to this in basic training. Always interrupted the best dreams, but I still respect this song to my core
The guard duty commander wakes the bugler up in good time !
The bugle guy doesn't sleep. He is tireless.
I have this as my alarm in the morning I’m 17
Oh, just found my new alarm.
I wake up my students with this 🤣🤣
This is my alarm 24/7
If they don't turn you on, then you ain't got no switches.
I had this at scouts
Ready man to fight for freedom

When I was in Artillery school they woke us up by firing a 105 howitzer. it was very effective.

Sometimes the whole division, platoon, or ground flight will be woken up before sunrise
At my cadets camp they just screamed Reveille and punched our door s
