Thank you!
Senior Drum Major British Army (Highland) Rab McCutcheon of the Scots Guards
@@haizhens-hut that is right
The highlanders the lowlands yes, the big ɓlack bear. Black Bear was an Indian who got killed by a Christian shot at by Daniel Boone in fact. S🎉uch is the life...
Yes, those certainly are words.
There is no finer sight or sound known to mankind, than watching a pipe band march and play. I just love it.
Jap , im German worked for the BfG as Civi in GGS and love it
As they say "blind em wi finery"
It’s a beautiful thing indeed. ❤
They are mine, I love themx
Well said, right there with you👍
I married a beautiful lass from Scotland 47 years ago. I heard about the Military Tattoo for nearly 50 years but we never got to go. My wife had seen it several times in her childhood. We finally traveled to beautiful Scotland this year and were in the stands on the opening night, August 4th. It was everything that I had heard and more. It was very emotional for my wife and I as we were in Scotland to scatter the ashes of her father who had passed away at the age of 94 this past November. I only wish that he could have been there with us.
Magnificent. Blessed you both were, indeed.
Dude I just enjoy it as a polish American observer but I gotta say your story stirred the heart. I'm glad you got to go.
Thanks for sharing ❤
He was with you both!!
I was there. My crew!
I’m Dutch but I fell in love with Scotland when I went to Edinburgh med school fifteen year ago, and I’ve been here ever since. I even found myself a handsome Scotsman to marry. Im very honoured and proud to be an adopted Scot.
Scotland the Brave forever ❤️🔥
Fantastic !!!
Thank you for showing this. Loved it in the USA.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The first groups looked nice and all … then along come the bagpipers and BOOM! Magnificent!
Hello ! I'm french, but I love so much the music from Scotland ! Thank you !
Nothing like it anywhere in the world.
Greetings from America ! This was just Amazing 🏴
What truly magnificent sights and sounds for the world to gaze upon in awe...
It's fascinating to me, that amonst our european traditions, some of those that move us the most, are those that were born out of war and pride
Great comment.. It’s a pride in the country (Great Britain) and past achievements. Each area has its heroes and customs yet celebrated together.
@@user-gy8go2on8pit brings out the highlander in me and I think of my ancient relatives that were forced to flee Scotland to North America in 1620, maybe I should thank the Brits because my home now is the beautify USA .
"War and pride" in Scotland's case, liberty and freedom and independence.
@@NGCS-ej4lz and DEMOCRACY
You just had to spoil it.
@@hulking_presenceyou are the only one who spoiled it with such dribble as democracy which is an illusion and does not exist
HELL YEAH !!!
So lucky to be able to see this. Need more of this on a regular basis. Nothing like this in Aussie. Keep on piping.
I used to go up to Edinburgh every year to watch it live. So being able to watch on here is a bit of home for me, As like aussie we dont have this in New Zealand
There WAS something like that in Australia in 2016. That was a great show (from what I see - in all senses of the word "great"); and it's greatest achievement was probably ruclips.net/video/TwX2roBVHbU/видео.html...
Go to an ANZAC day parade in Brisbane….and lean in 🇦🇺
Nothing like this anywhere in the world.
What a grand parade! Thank you for posting it for us.
As a proud Ulster-Scot this just lifts my spirits.
Excellent Haizhen - you are super keen! I like it!!
Stuff on in Princes ST Gardens today and another flypast tonight. I am taking Jeanette shopping 😞
Wonderful as ever love everyone ❤
Absolutely brilliant! No sound better than Scottish pipes and drums! Imagine seeing them coming over the hills in battle? The opposition must have been scared stiff!!
Although my Scottish blood is some what thinned out after almost 400 years in the USA, when I hear the bagpipes playing they call to something deep within my soul. Magnificent!
That's quite a lot of years. :-)
So you are an original pillager?
Still more Scottish then the SNP...
Is it because it sounds similar to a sheep and it stirs your scottish loins?
400 years 😆, the English have barely been there over 400 years ! Must be the Math they teach there.
No better sound, thank you for sharing.
Tears 😭 fell from my eye when i heard this after 12 years since I visited Edinburgh and saw this in person
No one quite does a parade like the Scott’s. Those bag pipes 👐 turn a town into a festival. Something else.
love that sound of the pipes and drums the black bear keep it going full time
Amazing march. World class!!! Love the bagpipes and drums!!!
As a young man I played also in a military band. Now fifty years later it's still great to hear the sounds of drums and bagpipes.
P.s. always wanted one of the flats at the top of the mile....could hear this forever and a day.😂❤
Every time I hear the bag pipes I just can't get enough
ONE WORD FANTASTIC.
Bagpipes n Drums best ever !!! Thx for this video
As a Scot who lives in Edinburgh I really do take these events for granted ❤
I was brought up at Loch Lomond totally agree with you. So much beauty on my doorstep. I did though live at Craigiehall, HQ Scotland Army, Crammond. My son went to St Serfs.
Well, stop. I live in Texas. We do have a thriving Scots Highland Games get together here. I love the pipes and kilts! I hope to get to Scotland, soon and check on my genealogy!
Agree I do make a point of watching the TV version each year but the actual event which is only 40 miles away 😢
What a beautiful city you have! I visited in 2016.
@@marietteestabrook4098 A word of advice from a native Scot (I live in Edinburgh). If you do get here do NOT proudly tell people about your Scottish heritage. I promise you, nobody will be interested. May sound harsh, but unfortunately it's the truth.
The Scottish bands always march out to Scotland the Brave and The Black Bear and that is a tradition I hope they never give up. Nothing more stirring than pipes and drums.
I'm an Englishman born and raised. but My god I'm so proud and honoured to have the Scots fight beside us.. their reputation precedes them. From the 43rd to now.. absolute legends .
My father fought with the 51st Highland division in Sicily , he rarely spoke of action but always of the ultimate cure for homesickness...hearing the pipes , he said it brought him home to our house in Torridon during the height of conflict and gave him strength to continue, thank you for your kind words and all the best .
We are one in the same brother.
@@paulmills2862 No we are not.
@@ianmacewan9416 History and the world Map say other wise
@@paulmills2862 I am qualified historian. I can assure you it certainly does not. Any map proves that contrary to your statement.
Love it so much 😍!
Ooo that black bear 😊
❤❤ my heart just loves this
One has to love the drums, pipes, and marching of the Scotts.
Everyone of these pipers is a fit active „soldier“ and not a full time bandsman … 👍
Fantastic!
Sends shivers down my spine when I hear and see bagpipes/massed pipes and drums😅 Booked my first trip to Scotland 🏴 and ticket to see the Tattoo this August 😊 I am so excited! Feel strongly about supporting Scottish culture - from 🇨🇦 with ❤
What a spectacle. Outstanding! Loved it.
Impressive
What pride looks like
Was there last August for Fringe and it was far too crowded for my blood, but it was also incredible! LOVED Edinburgh and loved seeing the parade of the Tattoo leaving the castle! the bagpipes are such beautiful instruments!
Being of Scot/Irish/Welch bloodline ive always loved the Pipes
Would love to go back to Edinburgh sometime??
Awesome!!! 😼 😎
The Scots School Albury - Drum Majors mum. We’re farmers in relatively outback Australia. He’s 17 and having an amazing experience. Thank you for this. I’ve watched an embarrassing number of times from the other side of the world.
What a great honour for the rest of his life. I went only as audience and that was emotional. Love Albury stay there often on my freight runs
I've actually been in Albury (about 10 years ago) visiting an old friend whose son was at Scots School some years before that, so I can relate. Congrats to your son!
Funny how one can feel connected half way round the world. My old school, Dollar Academy, has one of the best juvenile pipe bands around. Ask your son if he knows about them.
Awesome like the performance
This takes my breath away. Utterly fantastic
Such a lovely Sound.. so much better than what we are hearing on the Streets of London.
The pipes absolutely wonderful
My Grandfather came to America during WW II from Scotland, he never left. Sometimes we needed subtitles to understand him. I love Bagpipes, especially Scotland the Brave.
Went in 1971 as a teen. Amazing spectacle, never forget it. Have never been so cold in all my life!
My wife Lisa and I were right there when they passed......incredible!
Bag pipes always give me goosebumps
I'm Scottish, but now live in the USA and love to hear the bagpipes still and watch the tattoo every year thanks to family and friends. I remember my dad taking me to see it when I was young, and it was great back then🏴🏴
@Ihategoogle-xb2hi what ever. You have a lot of nerve.
Most excellent
WOW ! cool 👍👍💕💕Scottish Marching Bands.
Beautiful 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I used this song as my alarm clock for like 4 years while i was a triathele. I miss those days so much
Scotland the brave black bear
Just awesome. Hope to see it in person someday.
My grandpa fought with the Scots during WW2, he said they were either the bravest or craziest soldiers he ever fought with and he'd be proud to fight with them anytime.
We were there in April, next time will be in August. Love the pipers. Love the people. Tapadh leat.
Can you imaging being marching to a battlefield lead by those pipes. You blood just boils. 😂😂😂
1:29 well with these clowns they had no chance in battlefield for sure.
Pick up your history books, then come back and comment
@ozanareyiz7773 they could well be one of the civillian acts
that just never gets old... I've seen it so many times over the last 12 years, and yet, march to the barracks by 100+ pipers just brings tears to my eyes...
I loved every minute 😊
omg if i just could move there im in me bones a scot!! im born and raised a swede but every single time i se something scottish i just go..theres me home!!!
I love the massed bands.
Had the family there in 2015. Grandkids have all subsequently written about that experience in a school assignment when the opportunity presented itself. Best investment a Grandparent could make!
While I may be a girl raised in the south, my ancestry dates back hundreds of years to Scotland. When I hear the pipes it stirs something within me and reminds me why I love a country I have never visited.
It's high time you came and visited us , you'll be made most welcome all the best from Torridon north west Scotland .
I love Scotland
From France
Love the way you Scotts do it!!
I remember my mom, many years ago, yelling for me to come downstairs and I couldn't figure out why. She had tears in her eyes and I couldn't figure it out and I saw the Scots guards doing the, I think it's called, Royal march of the crown. She had the video paused and she just said "B I found it. I can't believe I found it." She played the video and I heard this beautiful sound and I cried too. Being someone who deeply respects history and those who fought in it, I first heard this played in a movie called The Longest Day and it had a major impact on my life. Hearing it again just made my soul jump for joy as I couldn't ever find it for years.
When the drums came in the last part, it was COMPLETE. CHILLS...
Thats was ao awesome 🎉
love listening to the pipes playing them top tunes..
Was there in 2015, Day 1. Planned my back-packing trip (87 days, 15 countries) for over a year. Flew in to Glasgow, bussed to Edinburgh for the Tattoo. Hiked Arthur’s Seat with a bunch of Americans (from The Citadel), after a proper Scottish brekkies at Hollywood.
*Hollyrood. Damn autocorrect.
I know nothing about This tradition but it seems so awesome great video I love it. Respect 🫡
Scottish regiments are magnificent...thats from a proud englishman.
I was there .. this night! It was amazing!
OUT DAMN STANDING!
Il suono delle cornamuse fanno bene alla mia anima. Grazie x aver messo su RUclips questo magnifico video. W la Scozia!!!
Absolutely stunning.
Chillzzzz up and down my spine🎉 so beautiful!
We have been to the Tattoo several times and never ceased to be amazed by the spectacle of it! The organisation, the setting, the atmosphere, the friendliness and above all the performers, all adds up to a fantastic experience !
@@Ihategoogle-xb2hi thank you, we love Scotland ❤️
I was there last week and it was amazing festival! I will sure comeback next year 🎉
finally!...here comes the lads!
Fantastic.
Can hear the fireworks from my house 🏴
Ive almost come to hate the world, or carry too much fear for it.. This temporarily makes me forget my thoughts enough to almost smile. As i started typing this, there was a simultaneous thought occuring that the only other thing im smiling at currently.. Is the walking in the air song, imagine i didnt even finish typing and the sound of walking in the air came from classical FM 😢😢😢😢😢 how does it do it.. Either the universe is very intelligent and powerful, or a sick game is taking place.. To this day im still unsure what it is.. But back to my main comment.. All hail the bagpipes 😊
What is the walking on air song? When you have such a synchronicity, it is said you are on the right path. There are no coincidences.
I'm 6 years old and I wake up in the middle of the night and run outside in my pajamas. In front of me is a magnificent orchestra coming towards me from the darkness with perfect music and costumes 🤩👌
Seeing them appear out of nowhere is truly amazing some smoke and they would be terrifying. Sends shivers down my spine.
my heritage my mother was born in scotland the pipes can bring me to tears when i hear them
ICH BEKOMME GÄNSEHAUT 🥰
I get goosebumps...
Scottish music is so wonderful
Black Bear and Scotland the Brave! What could be better!!
wow mega :) :) :)
love that music hope some time soon you will come into the train station and play
