Yeah, I kind of cheat with Berserk spell... But there is no other way to beat 3.6k Azure Dragons. It's a tactical fight. Nice map, big pleasure playing. Good scenario and gameplay for the entire map.

Never knew so many people played this game and remembered. Timeless soundtrack. This brought childhood memories back.
I've personally never been a fan of those custom maps that go overboard on absurd creature stacks and hero levels. after a certain point the spells become 90% of the battle when your hero stacks endless spell points.
yea, it destroys game feeling overall. However, it's simple math and logic. This is just a high numbers of units and some basic strategy, nothing else.
yeah, but those senarios we see here would rarely happen in a real base game map, the level to pull this off and the seer number of everything. I have used some bullshit to wing stronger enemy's but after a while it just becomes AI exploiting, that's why I enjoy playing with other people.
Magic heroes takes a very long time to mature. You need both the spells and the secondary skills to use them. You have plenty of time before spells become 90% of the battles.
@Shumnee Except for Mighty Gorgons maybe:D MG for killing everything, Archangels (+cloning) for resurrecting them.

Actually if you would have like Tazar with level 100 or Mephala with level 100 - 1000 golden dragons would be enough. Unless your enemy would be also one of armorer or offence hero on similar skill level.

I've had so many good memories from this game really. Back then strategy games were the best type of games for old school gamers (fun fact: Crystal Dragons used to be my favourite creatures and they still are :))

I did not know that killing your own clones meant the losses don't count against you on the final count. That's neat. When you get to the point where you're doing the clone/res I could hear in my head the part of 'The Princess Bride' where Prince Humperdink tells the priest "SKIP TO THE END!" Great battle.

Обычно я воду и огонь вообще не беру, но для таких эпичных битв (то есть когда боевая магия уже ничего не решает, ибо мяса очень много), экспертный огонь и вода действительно незаменимы и ты это доказал.

Пересматривал видео еще раз, появилась мысля.
В конце, когда слипанул лазурных драконов, создаваемых тобой фантомных архангелов, помойму надо было направлять бить лазурныз драконов и утилизировать их таким способом, а не через метеоритный дождь.
Лазурников конечно надо было предварительно замедлить, а после удара фантомами, снова слипить.
Так помойму было бы быстрее по времени и выгоднее по мане, но это мелочь, бой супер ! -))
Конечно, анализируя сейчас данное видео, можно найти много улучшений в стратегии. Но даже добиться такого результата бsло не так и просто: потребовалось много попsток. Спасибо за комментарий тем не менее.
Вот потому в боях с людьми я хожу в кулоне бесстрастия))

INSANE amounts of creatures! I realize that this battle occured 18 Months into the game but seeing thousands of Level 7 creatures is a bit shocking.
The longest time I've ever played 1 game was around 10 months but I only reached a few 100 Level 7 creatures. My 300k Skeletons made up for it though hehe.
Creatures are given to the Player in quests sometimes, don't forget. Especially when the mapmaker wants to make final battles epic and fun like this one.

You never used "Clone" of the Archangels? Hmm ...... Have you played a battle against several thousands creatures of 7th level?
Yes, sometimes I forget that with expert Fire magic there's no loss on first attack after Blind spell.
Also ArchDevils have retaliation ability
With that amount of mana you could blind every unit, resurrect and kill them one by one

One point of notice here man: why dont you use frost ring to discard the cloned AA ? It's near the clone spell, so it's more convenient too :))

Это лучшая карта героев 3 из всех созданных. Ее можно проходить снова и снова. А пройти ее можно как за 15 часов, так и год. И создал ее наш с вами земляк. Карта называется Paragon 2 . Ничего там не сгенерировано, просто все просчитано до малейших деталей. И пройти ее с первого раза почти нереально.

I used to have a mission on my PC that You went through with predefined hero, from lvl 1, with city that You can't build from, and a single Behemoth. For the majority of the game You only have heal spell with no spell power. For the first half of the game You played with only unupgraded Behemoth.
God, that was so much more satysfying and mind bending than all spells with all important lvl 6-7 units :|
There is WOG campaign called time of a d v e n t u r e with the similar premise, except you only start with 1 swordsman. It's absolutely incredible, with no damage-dealing spells and every unit you gain is pretty much priceless. I can recommend it fully.

Still waiting for a map where final enemy hero has recanters clock,pendant of second sight(or badge of courage),armor of the damned,elixir of life,spirit of opression-and also the final enemy hero to be a speciality armorer /offense hero ..that would really be a sick fight.
truth about this fight is easy if you use berserk,or abuse expert fire blind..
the beginnings were difficult on this map .
Id say wayfarer is amongst the top 5 hardest homm 3 maps ive played -but second half of the game was easy,so it fails to enter top 3.
Question, I've got map editor, and I've used winrar to open a map I downloaded from the internet, but how can I actually play on that map? I think I need to copy/paste the file in the correct location but I don't know where. Can anyone pleas help me?

locate a /maps folder in your Heroes 3 installation folder, and put it there.

Seriously, how do you get troops in such huge numbers? Even in the largest of maps I've never been able to collect 1000+ of any creature above level 4. And even that takes a ridiculous amount of time and dedication, so I don't assume you just have 1001 castles producing 2 archangels/week, or 1 castle and 1000 weeks? Pls share your secret :)

The ability is active even if Azure Dragons are blinded or under Berserk, but not when they're dead. The ability does not affect other Azure Dragons and creatures immune to Fear.

Winking Skeever Haste on Advanced and Master gives +5 speed. Prayer gives 4 at these levels of Wind/Water Magic. These troops were fast enough to use Prayer instead of Haste.

Rooterbuster W. With Orb of Vulnerability it would kill your Phoenixes and you'd lose, without it - it won't take affect on enemy's Phoenixes. So either way such tactics wouldn't work.
+Bogdan Sverediuk What if you do this without OoV and fight a war of attrition until only enemy Phoenixes remain, then come with the rest of your troops to clean up the Phoenixes?
+moozooh Yes, perhaps it might do, but to kill such army it will take hell of a lot of surrenders. Berserk lets me do it much faster.
+moozooh Besides, this last hero is placed far from nearest castle and it would take much time to teleport to him every time I surrender.

Azure dragons are the strongest, and when you're up against 3.6k of them, you're going to lose all of your monsters in one shot
Hey, can you tell me what version of Heroes of Might and Magic III Is this? I have the normal physical Disk but i haven't these troops that you have, like fairy dragons, azure dragons and troops like that. Is this a mod? Sorry for my ignorance.. Hope you'll answer..
THE BAUSS This is Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete, which has content from all three add-ons. Also you can try Heroes of Might and Magic III The Shadow of Death add-on.
Also, to make your game more comfortable, use Heroes 3 HD mod on it that enhances the game's playability.

Welcome to the late game, when blocking shooters doesnt matter because they can still shoot, the Titans are not immune to mind spells like Berserk and Ai starts with mass pray instead of dispelling like 3 negative effects on every single unit and 4 negative spells four of them...

Если использовать старинную фичу с берсерком двухклеточного существа - то можно было б победить заметно раньше. Один берсерк в правильном месте и лазурные стоят 9000 раундов без движения

+dominik car Creatures normally don't cast spells, but they have some magical abilities :) For example, paralyze or acid breath.
I am not the distributor of the game. But what you are asking for is Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete. Just look for it on Steam or GOG.com or on torrent trackers.

It's an XXL map, or even Huge, not found in the main game, but a fan-made map. You should try it some day.

по мне так этот бой проще через ослепление пройти, потом архангелами всех реснуть через клон (вы же наверно знаете что клон архангелов ресать может, а ставить их можно пока мана не кончится)

не подскажете , как справится гарнизоном, полным стеков, каждый из которых с 9999 лазурными драконами? когда они ударяют, то сносят мою армию с первого же удара)) карта Legiony potworow) + ко всему героя дали не очень, нет расстановки войск в начал боя, нет магии огня для берсерка, из магии только магия земли))

Alexandru Alistarh Algels can only ressurect once. To be able to resurrect multiple times you should re-spawn Angels.

No, as I said, you need to kill the clone and then create it again. Or you can just resurrect once per battle.

i don't know the name exactly but there is something that allows to recruit blue dragons(you need to defeat the guards.)
