How to Make Beef and Barley Soup in the Pressure Cooker

- 1lb stewing beef, cubed
1 medium onion, minced
¾ cup celery
1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups potatoes and/or carrots
1 large can diced tomatoes
½ cup pearl barley
3-5 cups beef stock
½ tbsp Worchestershire sauce
1-2 tsp sugar
Ground Pepper
1-2 tsp chopped parsley Хобби

Matt your soup looks yummy! I always add 4 carrots, try grating your large potato, it will help to thicken your soup .
I will try grating the potato, that might be a good way to thicken it. Most people should add carrots and other vegetables, I sometimes substitute squash for carrots as they both add nice colour.

If I was to this instapot should I cook for the same about of mins? I believe you said 15mins?
Depending on the setting it should be about the same time as long as it is under equivalent pressure.
I noticed you weren't using your duo plus instant pot, is there something wrong with it?
Nothing wrong with the instant pot, it's very nice and clearly high quality. That being said, I have about 3 years of experience with this pressure cooker and I'm quite happy with it and expect to be using it for quite a while. You can expect to see a mix of videos with both pressure cookers going forward. I'm doing some multi-pot meals and might put up some of those videos, but I'm not sure how many people have multiple pressure cookers around.
I just ordered the duo80 plus, i would love to see how things work in it, i'll keep an eye out for more vids, on it. Thank's again Matt!
Why didn't you put barley in this dish? It's called beef and barley isn't it? There's more grains of salt and pepper in your dish than there is barley. You have twice as much veg as you have barley. Why not call ilthis veg broth with some beef and a dash of barley? Other than that, this looks like standard college dorm room soup.
