  • Some of you have been asking for more BNSF Transcon. If I had to choose a spot that most captures the ATSF mystique, I'd go for New Mexico, specifically the Gallup Sub. The "Land of Enchantment" truly is a mysterious, desolate, beautiful setting for the railroad drama that has played out there for over 100 years. I want waaaay back into the video vault for this one. Shot in 2010, on my very first "HD" camcorder, the amazing Sony HC1. It doesn't compare to the newest technology of course, but for it's time, it enabled us to capture some pretty special images. Enjoy!

It's at Rio Puerco, about 20 miles NW of Belen. Just west of Dalies.
