    This video speaks the truth. I always though my ED was a result of aging and complications from a previous motorcycle accident. After a year of eating Keto/Carnivore, me ED suddenly was cured. I was happy with the just the health improvement and weight loss. The unexpected ED cure was the icing on the cake.

    I was experiencing ED along with hypertension and sudden weight gain tingling in my feet and legs. I went to my Dr. she said she could put me on a statin for my hypertension and my ED was just age related and I should just talk to my wife and if we have a good marriage she would understand. Hog wash and BS. I started Keto 6 months and then went full Carnivore for a year and going , all symptoms are gone months ago, I had a consultation with Dr. C. one thing that is not complete yet I still have a bit of weight muffin top, on my back/waist he encouraged me by explaining I'm not yet fully insulin sensitive it can take 18 months to two years. What I would like others to hear though is how remarkable I feel and at 62 my libido continues to improve when I thought all was good in that department after only a few months Keto. If for no other reason but to just be able to be pleasing to my wife that is enough to continue just eating meat. Its strange to me how people almost pity me for what they call a strict diet as if I'm missing out on life. I don't believe I have ever in my whole life felt this good, would I sell my soul for a pot of portage? Or a Carb load? WHY! Thanks Dr. Cywes I truly appreciate you.

    Yes, yes, yes. I'm 74 and noticed a loss in performance over the last thirty years, as my erections weren't very...erect. A physical three years ago showed fasting glucose of 117 and a high liver enzyme pointing to fatty liver. My doc had never run an a1c on me, let alone a fasting insulin test. I learned online I was pre diabetic so I went keto, then four months later went carnivore. I started noticing "something was up", so I asked him to check my T. It was 521. I don't know what it was before, but morning wood has returned. Also, I believe my prostate has shrunk a bit, as my urine flow has increased.

I started doing a keto thing recently and I've lost 15 lbs and I noticed that my joints were not sore and I could walk for longer periods of time without being winded and no creaking in my joints. It was scary that at 37 I realized I was gaining a lot of weight and my morning wood was gone. I started keto and lost freaking 14 pounds in 3 weeks. I stopped keto because I couldn’t adapt and the keto flu symptoms were lingering too much. So I introduced carbs back, only natural minimally processed that I myself cook like squash, asparagus, onions, casava, carrots. I do eat a lot of fresh greens and lots of berries as well. The base of my diet is beef, fish, poultry and lamb. I eat twice a day in a 6-8 hour window. I also jog in the morning. My bonner is back in the morning + many times a day. This is awesome! I’m still losing weight, but slowly. I’m already in good shape. Please eliminate sugar, refine carbs, seed oils, and ultra-processed food. It might take a few weeks to adapt, but the results start to come quickly!

    This covers so many aspects of my long-time reasoning and struggles with long time ED. And yet, to fully implement the program I know these insights will necessitate - is so encompassing that I've already failed a couple of times. And when all factors would be covered, there is still the component of normalising regular sexual intimacy, which itself requires tremendous amounts of persistence in abstaining from the cheap gratification of porn. Persistant courage, plus the leaps of it, and dealing with the ultimate fear that none of this could turn out to work as intended. Then there is the paradoxical mental reaction of being too focused, or self controlling through those reforms - leading to a mental backlash of enhancing the ED.
    I will continue to try to make this work, but the road ahead is long.

      @@jselectronics8215 thanks for the reply. I read your earlier comments and found them interesting. I'm 57 myself and have always been into sport and lifting weights. I think I got it a little wrong and followed a bodybuilding lifestyle. Lots of carbs and protein. Eating too often I think. Noticed about 6 years ago I started to develop skin tags I'd also lost the hair on my lower legs around 20 years ago and put that down to work boots. However by 2017 I was starting to have problems when it came to erections. Bit of a shock, couldn't understand why. Went to doctor and asked if I got morning wood, I said yes sometimes and told me it was all in my head. Got sent to the hospital doctor asked the same question for him to say it was " performance anxiety!" And I knew that was bullshit. Only found out about Carnivore and IR in May. So I think IR is the problem. I've noticed now I get erections several times during the night and can wake up with morning wood most mornings now. I can get erections a few times a day and feel frisky and then ill have days where nothing seems to happen. It's a bit confusing because it's like someone switching a light on and off. I'm hoping over time this problem corrects itself with Carnivore and IF. I've also noticed the hair on my lower legs as begun to grow back after all these years. At times when I feel a little bit down about this situation I come back to this video. I listen to Dr Cywes because it gives me a little reassurance.

    Your videos are fantastic. You explain the biochemical and physiologic processes that support many of my views on medical issues but for which I had no good evidence. Q Why to you say sildenafil (Viagra) is cardiotoxic? It is a vasodilator so obviously can decrease BP but so what? I would suppose it might have an additive effect that might augment the effect of anti-hypertensive meds a person might be on which could in some be problematic. But cardiotoxic?? I don't quite understand that. Otherwise, the discussion of ED is excellent..

Also every Keto channel has dozens of videos on sleep remedies No one can sleep and no one can get hard on keto, of course you're going to have the people that come in the comments and say oh My drive is higher than it's ever been on Keto so why the hell do they have all of these videos surrounding that topic 😂

      Watch Ted Naiman and his PE diet. P is protein in grams, E (for energy) is grams of carbs plus grams of fat. For fat loss, you want at least a 2:1 ratio of protein to energy. Most beef is about 1:1, eggs about the same. But turkey breast is about 30:1, so it's really good for weight loss. I think chicken breast is about the same. It's pretty good if you don't overcook it. I take it out of the oven at 160F. I drizzle mustard on it for flavor and moistness, and it's zero carb.

I eat pizza, fast food, donuts pretty regularly but work it all off and stay in a deficit. Also I sleep poorly, maybe 5 hours a night if I'm lucky. I chain drink caffeine. I'm relapsing on nicotine. I think my poor inward health is bleeding out and it's time to make a change.

    I'm suffering occasionally from Gout. How do you propose to regulate the amount/type of fat in a standard KETO diet?

    • @zenmind4711
      @zenmind4711 3 года назад

      Only add fat to your food if you're at your desired bmi. Zero carb, low fat, high protein would be ideal for fat loss as long as one meets their essential nutrient needs. A relatively healthy male at 10%-15% body fat should only experience gout if they are consuming high amounts of protein in the context of a high carb/fructose diet.
      If your liver is still fatty it may be making excess sugar from body fat even if you're not eating carbs. Some experience inflammation in general as they burn old fat stores as they drop their body fat percentage into a healthier range.
      I'm 46 around 10% fat and only experience gout flare ups in my right thumb if I combine 200g+ protein with 200g+ carbs while resistance training. Which I will never combine again.
      I can consume 400g+ protein daily while zero carb and never a sign of gout or any unusual inflammation or issues.
      I discovered if I would eat 3-4 celery stalks daily for a few days in a row , the gout clears up rather quickly.
      I find zero-low carb pimento/cheese goes good with celery.

    • @Shpunder
      @Shpunder 3 года назад

      @@zenmind4711 Thanks! but this is basically against what Dr. Cywes is advising, where the type of fat is important to balance but fat consumption by itself is important, in principle (any comment #CarbAddictionDoc ?).
      Interesting, how do you manage to consume 400g+ of protein per day -- that is like 7-8 rib-steaks per day ... :-)

      As a chronic excessive carbohydrate lifestyle causes increased androgens/testosterone and decreased estrogens/progesterone in females and the same lifestyle contemporaneously causing increased estrogens and decreased androgens in males (on top of all of the other pathologies) - from this dietary lifestyle what sort of outcome should we expect in terms of their sexuality or "sexual identification?"
