@@punec seriously - we need plastic melee weapons and combat arms. We also gravely need breacher, seeker, and recon kits. Would be cool if they did a standalone breacher kit, and then a seeker / recon upgrade sprue. One can only dream. Wouldnt be surprised if the saturnine terminators are the first upscaled terminators and then they revisit the cataphractii and tartaros
@@CMTechnica Yeah I hope too. The rumor was that the set was painted like IW vs Salamanders and the new command squad has those legions on the transfer sheet so it could be true

I know they are super painful, but I would love to see a video on how to paint and weather drop pods. They are my favourite thing about space marines.
i’ve done tons of drop pods. assembling them is usually the biggest pain. doing to do some crashed pods soon as part of a terrain video

Awesome! I have this kit in the mail. Going to do Iron Warriors squad with the big banner and a Sons of Horus counsel with the small banner holding the helmet.
The kit is really good for Iron Warriors. The parts themselves stylistically lend themselves to iron warriors and the inclusion of iron warriors transfers is a huge plus.
Amazing painting, basing and transfers. They look fantastic! The highlights on the nuncio vox were particularly cool. That banner us also hands down one of the most beautiful I've seen. Dorn himself would be proud of that.

I'd love to see how you'd do stuff like the effrit disruption cadre for the alpha legion, It's a little more kitbashy but seeing your take on the dark furies and mor deythan from the RG army showcase makes me really curious to see how you'd do it! I am so happy with the new Command Squad kit. I am considering using it on Rubric Marines bodies for my Thousand Sons, as a kind of ornate MKIV legion-specific squad. Probably using MKIV backpacks and Achaean helmets to keep it grounded in 30k. I'd love to see your take on their metallic red!
That would be awesome. I have a video coming on some Loyalist thousand sons. Transfers should be here from the printer this week. A friend, Scott, from Heretic Games, gave me the recipe for the armor. He has an awesome Thousand Sons force.

When I opened my kit and saw the two separate banners I was so stoked ngl. Between needing a legion herald for 4 different legions, a standard for a chieftain squad, and an actual command squad, I am going to get some mileage out of this kit. If only it had a few more of those Tigris bolt pistols...
You can get sooo much mileage out of this sprue and use it for a lot of different squads. We need that close combat sprue with more bolt pistols, combat arms and some of the other power weapons in plastic.
@@heresyera yeah, I'm hoping we get something like that soon. Maybe with whatever must be in the pipe for GW to include new Legions on the decal sheet. Breachers and chain axes would be nice.

I really like your channel. Personally i really like kitbashing basically every single model for my armies, just having a big pile of legs, torsos, arms etc... picking together my marines like in buildabear. But this channel is just kinda a representation of a more vanilla army building style. You really show what can be done with that simple out-of-box style. And the editing and little cinematics in the intro are great!
Thanks man. I do a lot of subtle kit bashes throughout my armies. I never go too heavy with conversions and generally aim to try and make them so subtle that one would generally not notice. This is still a very new channel and im really still building the foundation right now and will later move to the less conventional units and builds.
@@heresyera i mean i actually think this "box art" feel you have could really be a nieche your channel could neatly fit into. There are a lot of them out there already which do "i made the craziest custom preator" and stuff. What id actually like to see more of would be rescuing old 40k stuff to put to use in the heresy. Maybe a video idea? I know box naughts are useable with legends rules for example, and forgeworld used to make beautiful mk4 ones for all major chapters and chaos legions.
@@heresyera also, maybe some less common paint schemes from tje old black books? Slate grey word bearers, nemesis ultramarines, camo white scars, some of the more exotic alpha Legion schemes in black and orange which are described... i imagine all that looking great on the new marines.
I love the look of the kit and paint job! Maybe do a word bearer one next??
i have a gal vorbak video coming but doing the mk6 as word bearers isn’t a bad idea. my original leaning was sons of horus as so many people have asked for them

@@rebellars60 the resin kit isnt bad. Ive probably done 40-50x of the old breachers. They have the pistol grips in the hands and you can paint the bolters and shields separate which will speed them up.

as a player who has been into warhammer since 2nd edition, i barely recognize 40k now. 30k still has so much of what brought me into the game in the first place.

Great video - I appreciate your distinct style while painting, pretty conservative (mostly Citadel acrylics, no oils or enamels) but not exactly 'Eavy Metal, streamlinef and focused on efficiency without compromising on quality. I'm just starting my hobby journey with Iron Warriors and try to find what works for me so it's nice to see you work :D
BTW you don't have any issues with glueing pistols/grenades after painting? No super glue creeping over the paintjob? They hold well without direct plastic to plastic contact?
thank you. no issue gluing over paint - i still seal the models after adding the grenades so it gives eveything a consistent sheen. i try and keep things as simple and efficient as possible. the process you commit to can be the difference between finishing an army or not.

Really nice squad! QUestion for the campaign, do you plan to use the same AI to do the voice? or a mix of different voices?
its a mix of voices. narrator is AI, live action is actual voices.
When gluing on your sub assemblies, do you use plastic cement or superglue? (I imagine superglue since the paint won't allow plastic cement to set.)
I just use super glue. with the arms and feet being glued pre paint - the models are very sturdy and have no problem withstanding the use from regular gaming.

May I ask if you have any tips on how to make a traitor legion using the MK6 kits? I have a bunch of those as well as mk4 that I want to use to make a traitor legion to fight against my Imperial Fists, but they look so bland and I don't know how to make them look different.

MK6 works for any traitor legion out of the box. Just make sure you get some appropriate transfers and look at the color plates in the books. If you want something to counter the imperial fists, Sons of Horus are a pretty easy choice as their transfers come in all of the plastic kits and they are an iconic traitor legion. Alternatively, you could do something like Iron Warriors or Alpha Legion pretty easily. But regardless which legion you pick, Id do a mix of armor marks.

Would this work with some Sons of Horus? whast else would I need aside from the transfers?
@@Nusphigoreall of that would work. the cataphractii are more on theme and common then the indomitous - if you haven’t ordered transfers yet, you can always get the Forge world mark 6 helmet upgrade kits. you can buy a single pack and use them as sergeant helmets to add a little more cthonian style and help the leaders stand out a bit more.

Hey I have a question what would you recommend for a thousand sons army the mkIII or the mkVI command squad?
i’d do mk3 with acheon pattern helmets for a command squad. acheon are mk2/3 helmets and look awesome.

How do you paint death guard?

What do you use for your sand mixture?
I use a mix i made myself that resembles the old Citadel Sand from back in the day - the closest off the shelf is a mix of Gale Force 9 Fine Grit and Medium grid. Use about 80% fine and 20% medium.

SOH Green is a dark green / blue. The more green tone comes from the Lupercal Green or Sybarite Green. Thats funny, hahaha. Back when I started it was only Chaos black, maybe my age is showing.

Just say all paints used are Citadel , it makes for easier listening
I use other brands as well but note taken. with the image, can chop citadel - but editorially, i have to hold on the shot of the pot long enough for recognition and some of the names are short

Hey man, love the videos but I hate the AI voice. If you're not confident in your own, do it anyway, as anything would be better than the AI gen stuff.
AI speeds the production process up. Voice can be a bit hit or miss. Some people love the AI voice (especially non native eng speakers) and some people cant stand it. I try to make 2x-3x painting videos a week and if I had to record / mix / do performance takes for my own voice, it would probably drop to 1x. Real voices will be in bat reps and other live action content.
