Cube World is a voxel-based action RPG with a focus on exploration. It takes place in a procedurally generated fantasy world made up of entirely of cubes. Wolfram von Funck began developing the game in June 2011, and was later joined by his wife Sarah von Funck. An early alpha version of the game was released on July 2, 2013. The full game release is launching on Steam in late September/early October. Beta access is available to Alpha owners starting September 23 2019

UPDATE: Cube World (full game) is releasing on September 30th! The Steam page had a September 30th release date but was quickly removed and reverted to "TBA". I'm guessing a bit of an oopsie on Wollay's part 👍🏻😄

How did you get it ?
@@noxeal8963 You sign in to your Picroma account where you bought the Cube World game. In the my games tab there will be a steam key. Copy the steam key and then go on steam and on add game tab do activate a product on steam. Paste code and it installs automatic.

If we can destory the world around us and build our guild house then yes
Cubes can be destroyed with bombs, and a lot of blocks like leaves and snow can be destroyed just by hitting them.

I have a folder for cube world called good old times but now its no longer a dead game, I used to make wings and armor out of the cubes you could add and fight on servers. Good to see it come back after so long. Anyone remember foxdev.co
I'm looking forward to playing it with some friends and just going on an adventure lmao. I feel like this will be a game I can grind easily and have a fun time doing it
Coop is going to be SO fun, especially because of the ease of linking up through Steam

Shame that for right now, Windows 7 users won't have access to the game. Wollay didn't add Xaudio 2.7 support. Hopefully he will compile a new .exe before beta release and from what I have read, it wouldn't take long. He's just got to get the legacy DirectX SDK off of Microsofts site. I just hope the Devs have seen people talking about it.
Oh. I didnt even know this was a thing! Hopefully Wollay can help those users to play the game 👍🏻 And hopefully it is a basic fix too!
Just get windows 10. It is so much better than Windows 7. I have never had issues with it compared to 7.
@NoobSniper Didn't take long, a user has already supplied a modified .dll that allows it to function on W7. His name is Ando, so be sure to thank him for that.

I'm really curious about why you're using Windows 7. Is it because of hardware limitations or is it for specific software things ?

For someone who is not an alpha owner, Can i buy my way or still get access for closed beta? Also will this game be multiplayer and have an economy/market?
You cannot purchase access to Closed beta. However, an update to the Steam page notes the game will release on September 30th (don't have to wait much longer).
As for multiplayer, yes! Economy/Market I'm fairly sure isn't in the game

A lot about cube world looks good. But the world is so massive and the lack of textures just makes it feel mostly empty. An odd choice to only have coloured blocks without texture details, but maybe it'll help it stand out some.
It's definitely the voxel style. I prefer a cleaner, more minimalistic look than "ultra HD mega detail" graphics but that's what floats my boat.
Cube world alpha has teleporting and portals, what do you mean no fast travel
There's no skill tree and you constantly die so you have to find more shrines

Everyone gets the same seed but different coordinates in the beta iirc. And some guy found the seed, which will apparently be 123

If you bought the game you played it in alpha, it's opening in closed beta now.
Wollay stated he rebuilt the Cube World engine from the ground up. Plus, it's been so damn long, it might as well be an entirely new game haha. But yes, it is now technically 1.0

You had to have Alpha to access the Closed Beta.
Correct. The closed beta is for alpha members only

The beta coming out on Sept 23rd is a closed beta for alpha members who previously owned the game.
I'm not sure if there will be an additional open beta or if the game will simple go public to all

Alpha saves wont but I believe beta saves would? Not 100% certain on that
I don't think so, it is a complete new launcher so as of yet not too sure where it saves the files, the old one saved them on my computer, but I think the new one will save on steam itself.

Power? Power is gone and now it has different rarity tier.
Yeah I realized that after uploading that the information in the Reddit thread is a bit contradictory. Appears that Power is gone but difficulty is scaled to players.
So I hear there is not generated worlds, just 1 world that you randomly get placed on. Apparently it’s so you can fast travel to your friends while not losing progress either way... maybe it’s just idiots online
I dont believe this is true as others have stated there are seeds and a seed would generate an entirely new world.

Correct, the 23rd is a closed beta. Frankly, I think it's a bit of a test and to find any major game breaking bugs to be fixed before full release
It will most likely be released for everyone in October. Maybe in the last days of September if youre really lucky.

@@NoobSniper Probably won't do all that well if you got to pay 20 bucks for it. Its big competitor for players is going to be Trove, and that game's free. Trove has more to offer in general compared to what Cube World's currently showing off, even if you ignore Trove's cash shop. Cube World's going to struggle probably if it needs to be bought to play.

AFAIK, Wollay does all the engine related content while his wife, Sarah, does the design end of things.
He definitely could've released it by now but as he depicts in his blog post, he had some personal issues that kept him away from launching out of alpha
so we gotta bascily pay again for the game waaaauw i payed back in the day 25 euro's for an game that even didn't exist over an year and now they exspect we trusting our money over again to this dev nope they better make it free..... :(((

Sorry to hear dude :( If you don't have access to the email, that kind of sucks. I'd try your best to recover the email so you could get it on Steam for free as an Alpha member!

This is more accurate. Trove took aspects of many games, Cube World likely being one of them, and built their own voxel game.
But there is definite similarities :)
