  • Join us on our first camp trip with the Nissan Frontier PRO-4X! And yes we still have the Jeep. We just wanted a truck for trips where the roads are easy and when we want to haul more gear and sleep more comfortably.

Hey Caddis, I use the foam tube insulation for hot water pipes from Home Depot etc, to fill the gaps around the tail gate. Just when I’m driving when it’s dusty. Game changer…

Good to hear from you Ohwildon! Thanks for the tip. Do you just wedge it in the gap and take it out when you get to where you're going? Ideally I'd like to find something that will stay in. Maybe I can rig something with foam and 3M tape. I do have a bunch of 3M weather seal I might try to rig something up with. Doesn't have to be perfect, but something that stays in place and keeps most dust and midges out would be nice.

Lmao for man buddy trips, another cool thing about this truck is buddy can sleep in the back and I can sleep in the front. The front seats recline almost horizontal like we're used to in the jeep. Easy to house a homie in Chateau Frontier without sticking them in the a tent (to avoid snoring sounds or canned chili induced inconveniences)

    Nice truck!
Yeah, it's nice to have the bed of the truck for sleeping. Much better than a 2-door Jeep😁

Thanks! I forget to mention the front seats recline almost horizonal just like the Jeep. I could see myself sleeping in the cab on solo trips in colder temps. Seat warmer will be too tempting. It will work for some trips, but there are definition limitations. I already dug trenches with the hitch receiver on minor stuff I wouldn't even think twice about in the Jeep. It will work for at least half of the places we go!

@@caddisguy yeah, the Jeep will certainly get you in to a lot more places easier. Plus you can turn around much easier on trails with the Jeep too.

I don't know why I torture myself watching videos of a trim Nissan doesn't sell in the states. :(

They stopped making them for Canada this year. Actually the only 2024 trims we have to chose from are PRO4X and PrO4X Luxury crew cabs. I started looking too late into 2023 and there weren't any new PRO4X king cabs left, but I found the 2022 with only 6000KM on it. I hope they start making/selling them again in both countries. I'm guessing they weren't selling as fast, but for some people having only a 5 foot bed is a deal breaker.
