Just found your website and love 💗 this book you did. I am starting my first composition glue book and you have given me so many ideas for this type of book. TFS 😘
Wow! I really enjoyed your flip through. So many ideas. I’ve watched a few of your videos and finally decided to take the plunge. I just bought one of these and needed some ideas.
Awesome!! I post little snippets as Shorts most days. I work in 5-10 minutes each morning to satisfy my creative needs of art journaling. I hope you enjoy the process of working in the composition notebook as much as I do! 😊
I love composition notebook's i been putting stickers on the left side of the paper and the right side of the paper i write on I plan on painting on the cover and maybe inside of it 📓🖋🖌 and i also added stickers inside too
Just discovered your channel…what a fun journal….I am the same as you - I love the texture that all these processes create, as well as the sounds! You’ve got great ideas and it inspires me to get my composition books back out!
I love your books!! I am going to try using a composition notebook for journaling but even though the point of it is to NOT worry about it… I am still stressing about what I want it to be. 🙄 I keep watching videos and seeing daily journals with a structured page set up, common place books, morning pages, art journals, glue books, etc and I want to do everything but I also want to keep private thoughts separate from keepsake & memory type things that I want others to be able to see someday. I’m annoying myself… it’s just really silly and ridiculous.
I 100 percent understand your conundrum. I feel that too. That is why using the composition notebook has been so freeing for me. There is no pressure to make it perfect and the way I use them has changed somewhat over this past year. I hope you find your journaling peace in 2023. ✌📓Thanks for watching and commenting. 🥰
I love your books! I started using composition notebooks for journaling and decorating. The ones I buy are made in India - I haven't seen the ones that are made in Vietnam. They seem to hold up alright so far, but I haven't used a lot of paint. You have inspired me to use some paint (and glue the pages when I do!) Thanks for sharing.
Yes, they are so good! I have not tried the mini version yet, but I have seen people cute them in half for two short landscape journals which I think might be a cool size to work in. Thanks for watching. :)
i just found your channel today as i write this comment i do not use paint in my journal i do stick a lot of stuff in my journals like things that go with my day washi tape , stickers, tags, fruit stickers , cereal boxes and i cut them down i used notebook size as journal, i stick happy meal boxes, magazines clippings, newspaper clippings and articles, pictures of my family and things happening in the world, note pads that i will do my journaling on, menus , ads, business cards, greeting cards from family, packaging that i like, or things i ate, valentines cards, things from books i go to thrift stores a lot and get things to put in my journal like children books and magazines, just anything that goes with my day i use a lot of cards like flash cards that are cute or from card games if they have cute images on there and i can use them for journaling. things from fast food places like the bags or things i pick up just stuff like that i pick up a lot to put in my journal i write as much as i can about my day i also use a lot of junk mail if it looks cool or about the city that i live in and things that are going on. i do not call it a glue book of junk journal i call it a time capsule journal as it shows what i liked or watched with pictures of that as well and things that happened in the world as well as my life at the time with decorated pages i love my journal
I've tried a composition notebook for this purpose, but I didn't have such a good outcome, when I added paint the pages got all wrinkled up and very soft. What did you do to prevent wrinkles and fragility of the pages
I would suggest a couple of things. Make sure the comp book is one that is made in Vietnam as the paper is better quality. Also, you might try gluing pages together. I will add that I actually enjoy the crinkly texture, both feel and sound of these pages. It’s been a good practice for me to let go of some of my perfectionist tendencies and enjoy the process. I hope this helps!
@@TheHappyKim thank you for the suggestions, I didn't realize that about the paper. Also, it's not that I don't like the crinkly texture, it's just when the pages wrinkle it makes it hard for me to journal like I want to.

New subbie. Great video. Do you remove any pages before you start??
Thanks for subscribing! I do remove some here and there. I estimate probably 10-12.
😆 promo sm
Why can't people just do diary entries instead of decorating their notebook? Probably because I'm a guy and guys like to just get the writing done.
True. Art journaling ticks the box for my creativity and allows me to combine multiple things I enjoy. Different strokes I suppose!
