WHAT IS A WRECK THIS JOURNAL?
A 'Wreck This Journal' is a book written by Keri Smith with prompts in it that encourage readers to destroy their book in the process of filling it out.

I understand the books creator/author but it’s almost more fun to come up with creative ways to do the prompts. When it’s just wrecked I feel like I was only satisfied for a short while. Nonetheless I love your journal
I'm very impressed with thr creative methods used to avoid wrecking the journal, while still obeying the instructions!
I remember me and my friends just bashing my journal in the mud and stepping on it

I just got a Wreck This Journal,and when looking through it I was stumped about ideas for certain pages..I'm not going to take the instructions literally,I'm going to make it more of an art journal..some of your pages gave me ideas on a few of the pages I was stumped by..thanks for sharing this,it gave me alot of ideas for my own Wreck This Journal 😊

i think the point is to make it whatever you want, whatever will truly allow you to release your frustration and emotions in a way that doesn’t hurt others. if this is how you do it,, then you’re doing it right
You have a great imagination! I especially love the stars on strings. I would never think of things like that!
She didn’t wreck the journal. She made it look more aesthetically pleasing
So my 14 year old niece broke her shoulder! Like her arm is completely snapped across! Its literally never going to be the same again. No gym etc. As it's such a nasty break bless her. I seen these years ago and just popped into my head again! I searched and found ur video. It reminded me how amazing this book is and how my niece would love doing this as shes at home unable to go back to school after covid due to her roller skating accident. Thanks for sharing! I watched this and now one is on it's way to her as a surprise. Your book is lovely! I even ordered myself one too

I feel like WTJ is meant to be completed how you want to complete it. Its kinda crappy that the author is putting down people for doing what they want.
Well the artist should realize we're not going to do the same thing we have more of a creative mind set and creative taste I can draw all the monsters in my wreck this journal book and I post it on Instagram
I've never been interested in doing a wreck this journal, bit now I'm inspired. I have a friend I think would love doing this together, so I will be looking for two of them.

I have the exact same book and the prompt was Tie a string to the journal and go for a walk , drag it
I have the colored one it says! “tie a string to the spine, hit it on the wall, very hard”
I think when it says instructions are open to interpretation and there’s nothing saying it has to be gross and dirty or pretty. Then it’s open to look however you want! I think yours is really cool! I’ve done 2 of them but never finished them cause they got lost somehow. But I’m on my 3rd and I’m determined to finish lol
I feel that what a wreck journal is about to be creative and be a kid again. Everyone will be .different and unique . I will.be starting soon.

I was in Waterstones today I got a wreck this journal so awesome 💝🌈🏥 and perfect 👍😊🎏 for me everything for me that a art book should be wish they'd had this when I was a kid something like this would be great to have on holidays as well and not just for kids

I did a wreck this journal where I wrecked it with ✨style✨ and one where I went ham with the wrecking
The one with the candy was collect fruit stickers but love the idea
I just worked on mine
Put mustard and ketchup in the also syrup
Nailed a page to a tree to watch it detoriate
Interesting how mine says "rub this page on a dirty car" instead of dirty surface. Got it sometime in 2014-15 btw

My sister ordered a white and a black wreck this journal. She ordered two of them because Amazon was having a good sale on them. So she send me a Snapchat message asking me if I wanted one. I said yes. Because I always wanted one these but never bought one for myself. I can’t wait to get it to try out.

When you wreck it are you supposed to tear the pages out
on the instructions page it says the instructions are not important
for the office supplies page i taped my year 11 ruler on it 💀

You're supposed to wreck the journal and not make it a work of art so sounds like you did it correctly

What did you use to cover the pages for example the Dinner page? It looks like you laminated it
Packing tape actually! It works great to seal the pages👌🏼

Hi. If you know the answer to this question please let me know. I have seen online: 5 "different" Kerri Smith, Wreck This Journal, each with a different cover. Are they all different books or is just the cover that is different?!
Hey! I believe that there has been an updated book more recently released called Wreck this Journal in Color, but other than that, the different colors you're seeing are just different versions of the same book. Hope this helps!

Mine was gross lmao. My mom threw it out during the last move we had as a family and I don’t really blame her because it looked like trash.
I just got a new one and I’m planning on still destroying it, but in a way that I can still keep it when I’m done

A combination of many different art supplies- varies from page to page! My most used items, however, were crayola supertips, other various markers, pencil crayons, fineliners, pens, pencils, crayons, etc...
