This was timely. I just purchased 2 of these for me and my 7 year old grandson to do together, since we can only do these via FaceTime these days. When I gave it to him a couple weeks ago (outside with masks on), I told him to throw it up in the air as high as he could and when it landed to step on it. His parents thought I was nuts, lol. He’s going through a perfectionist phase, and I’m hoping this will loosen him up a bit. Yours is fantastic! I got lots of ideas from it. Thank you!
I'll also got 2 one for my preteen granddaughter whom I think will Benefit and hoping we can facetume via Amazon show. I'm super excited!
Do you know what , that’s a fab idea . I wish my parents would do this with their grandson , my son is 11 now they always talk to each other on hangouts x

I’m 18 and have been a horrible perfectionist my entire life (dealing with OCD and anxiety -amongst other mental disorders: made my perfectionism 100x worse). After nearly completing this copy of Wreck this Journal, i have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of anxiety i face when dealing with something i usually want/needed to be perfect. i feel a little more free and at ease being able to let my emotions run through a book, i love it!
I love this journal. I love how packed it is with lots of textured dangly bits and pieces. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing x

This is a really lovely project, I'm super excited to start mine after seeing your version. I create lots of abstract art and started collaging on those but I miss junk journals! Seems like fun therapy.

I was taking to my best friend about this and how I wanted one for my preteen granddaughter who I think would benefit from "wrecking this journal" 2 days later 2 showed up at my house! What a wonderful friend she is! I cant wait to give this to my granddaughter and get started on mine! Thank you for sharing

Wow wow wow!!! I just love this journal, I do a lot of work and a lot of fun at the same time. What a wonderful gift this would make from primary school age up to an elderly person. It would be always something to find or see that you haven’t seen before even though you’ve looked 1000+ times through the Journal. Just love it so well done it will be noticed in your home no matter how much other colour you have a wonderful conversation piece as well. Wrecking a journal must be a thing. Never heard of it. I read a comment from someone who thought this wrecking could benefit another person who needs to be less perfectionist. Fabulous! I’ve been going thru the process of loving imperfection. Feels good! I recommend it! Your journal has jangled my brain. I 💕clutter! Thanks! PS re the pink hair page: I have grey hair and just discovered Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner for grey hair. It makes my hair pale lavender and shiny. I 💕it tho it is $$$.

Okay, you made that look like more fun that I would have anticipated it being. Your creativity really shines through in what you've done to your book (although we already knew you were super creative). I especially loved your work-around for the dead insects page, and the series of pages toward the back where the cut-outs could be seen on two different color pages. Thank you for sharing!

Such a fun flip through! I adore all the dangly bits/tabs and some of my fave pages would have to be the buttons, tea tags, fabric swatches, sewing, stationery, and the zipper! TFS. 😊💕
You are my favorite "go-to' when I am at a creative block or have a period of the blues .... love the color and narrative you bring to the screen ... great idea here with this type of journal and sooooo appreciate you filming the page by page flip through ... that gives us real insight into variations of creativity you bring to the project. This and another video about your wreck this journal encouraged me to buy one and do something similar to it. I have OCD and have a very hard time allowing things that "shouldn't" happen to my journals happens so I felt this would be a great and fun way for me to let go a little

This is the best flip through I've seen of a Wreck this Journal! I really love it so much, and you've inspired me to start working in mine again. I actually have a few videos on my channel of me actively working on my book, but I haven't touched it in over a year I think. I've just picked it up and started flipping through it. I feel like you've given me a lot of inspiration for what to do with it. I want the color version now! Also, I really like that you photographed the activities and included them in the journal. I have one of those small sticker photo printers so I think I will do the same for those pages. Thanks for much for posting this flipthrough!

Hello Melanie 🤗🤗. I've been binge watching all your videos lately because I need my mojo back to make journals again and so I've trying to get my brain to work by watching my favourite people here. Just watched this again and now I need this in my life 😂😂😂. I'm on a minimalist journey but stationery is the area in my life where that is not happening at all but again if it makes me happy then it makes sense to have and enjoy 👌😜. Just hoping you are good and to tell you that we(sure I speak for all your fans) miss your videos. Mine is in about 5 pieces! Don't have it even 1/4 done and started in August 2020! Haha! BUT TO MY DEFENSE, I got the whole caboodle of books. So was be-bopping and have kiddos to raise and handle haha. But, ya I got the set with the books, Mess, Pocket Scavenger, This is not a book, wreck this book (the first one). Then the set with, her bigger books, Finish this book, Imaginary world of ____ and how to be an explorer of the world. I may of messed up on the big book names. But I still need to get her line book and I forger the other one. She has 3 apps now too btw! I also then bought the YT creator Moriah Elizabeths 2 create books to do too. I most likely will NEVER finish all of them, but I get my kiddos involved haha. At some point I am going to post flip throughs and then shorts of pages explained on my channel that I just started. I'm going to subscribe to you love and would appreciate if you'd do the same ❤

Lovely journal😍 best ways to make memories and yours by far is the most colorful and detailed I’ve seen yet. Currently working on mine and I have prob like 7 pages left until completion but I’ve been stalling on it since 2015😅 watching these types of vids just gives me the motivation to work on it some more tbh so thank you for sharing! Like, if you put like words in it like everyday inspiration, thoughts, your growth and what you learned every day, the junk journal will be art centred words book.
