Things I've learned after watching this about 5 times. Hhahhmm... clears throat 1.) Nyx is an electric kitty!!!!!! 2.) Yoko has repetably threatened to slap someone with their own arm. 3.) Orion is best big bro and has all the chill. 4.) Nero........the next couple parts are about Nero. 5.) He's very observant. 6.) He likes snacks 7.) Only the gods may judge him! 8.) Knows how to treat a friend. 9.) Practical thinker 10.) That scream. Pppphht, I think he hit a higher octave than me laughing at it. 11.) I died at the "In live" part. 12.) I would definitely take him trick theme park. Just to see his reaction. Overly all I loved it!!!! Keep up the awesome work.
-I love the animation in this episode, it looks smooth and I love how you guys animated their expressions and movements. -The choreography is nicely done. -I'm not going to complain about the voice acting, it's actually not too bad. I know that it'll get better as the series goes on and as you all get more comfortable. Voice acting is actually a lot harder than it seems and requires a lot of skill to be really good at it. -My only complaint is the sound, it doesn't stay consistent and some dialog is shadowed by other sounds. -This episode is really good compared to a lot of beginning episodes of different shows and I can't wait to see more!
They could improve a lot of things. That's why they took so long between chapters. The increase in quality is exponential at this point. I'd say comparatively they are at or better than RWBY Volume 1 Production already. So for these guys, it's just more steps up. I love this series and want to see more of it. But if these guys want to turn their work into something moneymaking they are going to need to work on their own property. Which I would gladly watch as well.
I didn't really like the first episode, I don't have that much hope for this epis- *Guy takes off his sunglasses to reveal more sunglasses* Well, I have to like it for that joke alone. Overall, this is a big step up from the first episode, the fight scenes are better, the music seems to be better integrated and the characters have more of a dynamic in the way they interact with each other and the situation. VA-Wise, it's okay, but still needs improvement, especially Yoko who just seems really quiet and tonally inconsistent even when she's supposed to be loud or agressive.
From one RWBY OC fan film maker to another: AWESOME JOB EVERYONE!!! Loved the fourth-wall breaking moments and other meta jokes.The fight scenes were amazing! I completely lost it when Nero saw the deathstalker, screamed and threw the dust bomb at it! That was so funny! I'd be very tempted to cosplay as Nyx at some point as we have almost identical hairstyles. The whole thing has got me so hyped for our RWBY OC shoot at RTX London. Can't wait to see more :D

Okay, Seriously, I loved this episode too, but the fight sequences in Volume 5 are NOT bad and half the cast was NOT Clouded in crippling depression! Insulting Volume 5 to make this episode look better is just a jerk-move. and It doesn't make things any better!
Ruby Mack Dude, I hear where your coming from, Rwby’s a dead horse getting beat at this point. But it’s just so damn bad, RT keeps trying to bring it back and they have no fucking idea what they’re doing. If RT ever gets its collective shit together I’ll change my tune, I imagine more people will as well, but seeing as how RTs, animation, story, character “development”, and over all flow couldn’t get it way out of a wet paper bag, I don’t see that happening.
I'm loving how unique the faces are. The sets are incredible. The voice acting has improved also! It's amazing to see how much you guys have improved since chapter one! Keep at it! Also is it just me... Or is it really hard to pick a favorite NYON member?
Boiz! That was friggin awesome! Brings me back to when RWBY first started, when we had goofiness alongside character development and awesome fight sequences! It's a little rough around the edges in terms of SFX and some effects, but the writing is spectacular and the voice acting can only get better. I love Niro. The smack-talk, fourth wall breaks, sense of humour, and in general his character is just really fun to watch. He's like what Sun SHOULD be. (with his own teammates, doing cool stuff) I'ma be sharing this as much as possible!
Glad to finally know that Nero’s eyes are blue. Also, love the 4th wall joke that Nero made. So, Yoko and Orion have a sibling relationship! Nyx and Nero got creative ways to kill Grimm. Omg this is great! I love everyone! Orion seems like the patient older brother type, Nyx and Nero have a great dynamic, Yoko seems really funny, everyone’s design looks super badass (I love how they seem to glow, it’s super cool) and the music is awesome. The animation and audio have both improved a ton. I can’t wait to see what else you guys create!
I appreciate DNA for helping mark on his fan made animation team of RWBY (team SLVR) at least on the animation for R. Also great episode here too the quality of episode 2 is really good and a huge improvement from episode 1.
Wonderful and quirky and funnyI I can see the hard work and adore it. Smoother animation, better models! Incredible work all around and I'm thoroughly looking forward to any further stories with these guys. Heck. If you used the models for a comic version of these guys I'd still be super enthused to read more about them without the need for intense hard work. Then throw in a cool battle animation every now and again!
2 years late commenting but it's amazing how much more polished this is than the original NYON video. The time that went into this and the practice that came between it and the original NYON video is really clear. I wasn't able to follow the original all that well but both having gotten a good look at both here Nyx and Nero's weapons seem like proper RWBY weapons. They and the fighting styles using them are the perfect combination of absurd and awesome; they hit that classic RWBY feel and (as any proper RWBY weapon should) just make me more eager to see more of the other weapons on the team. Even though it's been over 2 years I *am* hoping that at least once more episode will be coming out, hopefully letting us see a little more of Yoko and Orion- specifically in action and using their weapons.

Despite the segments with Yoko and Orion weren't as fluid as the ones with Nyx and Nero, and not being too keen on Yoko's face, this is still a massive step up from the previous chapter. Nero was definitely the highlight of the episode, from his meta humour to his weapon design, he was super fun to watch. Looking forward to the next chapter.
This is AMAZING!! It's amazing how much it's improved from chapter one! The dialogue really establishes the characters personalities and relationships with each other, the facial expressions are much improved and show a lot of personality too! The details of clothes and hair moving is great, and I love the details of how Nyx's ears move! The choreography, weapons, semblance, and character designs are cool and work great! It all comes together with music and effects very well! Can't wait to see more!!!

He wasnt based off Dave strider 😂, It was a collaboration between Ryan (Nero's VA) and myself when it came to his creation. It was supposed to have that reference to Nero from Dmc4 but hes a mix. But little did I know he looked like dave strider until people commented on our group page about it (and last video) 😂😂😂😂😂 and I can no longer unsee it.

Just got back into RWBY and discovered this gem. Honestly, I'm just sad that it's not canon! It had that RWBY feel throughout, funny, actiony, and the character dynamic was great. Nero is forever going to be one of my favorite RWBY OCs just for his humor alone. Nicely done!
This is awesome!! I love Nero, he's my favorite... but Nyx is hot which probably makes him my second favorite. Love seeing both of them :3 I would really love to see another version of this with adjusted audio... The voices are really quiet, there was a line Nyx said that didn't even get picked up by the auto-generated subtitles that I really wanted to hear... also, the "only the gods can judge me!" line should've been a lot more enhanced, it doesn't have the spotlight it deserves! XD I laughed so hard. Well done, Flying Ninjas!! I'm proud of your improvements!

Your fights are a lot better but your normal movements are still stiff but you are getting there, also sometimes characters move too fast in certain instances like getting up but again you are getting there
WTF this really well made. Like shit boi on a production level this looks way better than reby volume 1 but not quite at volume 2. But for what i assume is a small team thats working on it its amazing

So wow. That was. Really funny. And for a fan production the voice acting was pretty good as well, Yoko and Orion were...honestly below average sorry for the criticism but I was actually impressed by the voices of Nero and Nyx. But really this one episode probably gave me more laughs than I ever expected. The animation over all was pretty good too, loved the creativity there. If I had any advice I'd recommend working on different camera angles so things feel more dynamic and to cut out the music when switching from action to comedic moments, the tonal shift will work well with the sudden lack of music. Keep working hard!
Love nyx's weapons. I had a similar idea, but mine were more compact and simplistic, though these are more versatile . Always wanted to make tomphs work as an effective combat weapon, and this has way surpassed the potential I thought of. Keep the work up, animation and dialogue has been a real upgrade since last chapter. Simply amazing

Very much worth the wait, and this fan series is one of the main reasons I strive to be an animator. Looking forward to more!
Despite the segments with Yoko and Orion weren't as fluid as the ones with Nyx and Nero, and not being too keen on Yoko's face, this is still a massive step up from the previous chapter. Nero was definitely the highlight of the episode, from his meta humour to his weapon design, he was super fun to watch.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

You know, this episode is very close to the style that RWBY had when it first started. Or is it just me?
Badass fighting, funny characters, a sense of natural friendship? Yeah I agree.

This is AMAZING!! It's amazing how much it's improved from chapter one!
The dialogue really establishes the characters personalities and relationships with each other, the facial expressions are much improved and show a lot of personality too!
The details of clothes and hair moving is great, and I love the details of how Nyx's ears move!
The choreography, weapons, semblance, and character designs are cool and work great!
It all comes together with music and effects very well!
Can't wait to see more!!!

And Nero is totally based off of Dave strider right? Or is it just me that thinks that??
He wasnt based off Dave strider 😂, It was a collaboration between Ryan (Nero's VA) and myself when it came to his creation. It was supposed to have that reference to Nero from Dmc4 but hes a mix.
But little did I know he looked like dave strider until people commented on our group page about it (and last video) 😂😂😂😂😂 and I can no longer unsee it.

OH MY GOSH THAT WAS SO GOOD!!!!! Thank you guys so much for all the effort you put into this! There were so many perfect funny moments that I had to rewind just to enjoy them again. AND THE FIGHT SCENES!!!

I have watched this video several times! It always cheers me up no matter what. My favorite team members so far are NERO, Nyx, and Yoko. Orion might grow on me one day. I look forward to the next NYON chapter

Just got back into RWBY and discovered this gem. Honestly, I'm just sad that it's not canon! It had that RWBY feel throughout, funny, actiony, and the character dynamic was great. Nero is forever going to be one of my favorite RWBY OCs just for his humor alone. Nicely done!

This is awesome!! I love Nero, he's my favorite... but Nyx is hot which probably makes him my second favorite. Love seeing both of them :3 I would really love to see another version of this with adjusted audio... The voices are really quiet, there was a line Nyx said that didn't even get picked up by the auto-generated subtitles that I really wanted to hear... also, the "only the gods can judge me!" line should've been a lot more enhanced, it doesn't have the spotlight it deserves! XD I laughed so hard. Well done, Flying Ninjas!! I'm proud of your improvements!

Absolutely loved this, everything is so good! I had such a good laugh with Nyx and Nero, it's my new go-to comedy. Super psyched for chapter 3.

Your fights are a lot better but your normal movements are still stiff but you are getting there, also sometimes characters move too fast in certain instances like getting up but again you are getting there
Wow the animation has gotten a major upgrade and some of the comical moments bring me back to the good old days of vol 1-3.

Definitely improved in plenty of ways. Those fight effects (streaks, slashes, sparks etc) are really rad, and all the sets look great.
This is looking to be a great series. Nero seems to be the fan favorite. I'm definitely looking forward to more.

WTF this really well made. Like shit boi on a production level this looks way better than reby volume 1 but not quite at volume 2. But for what i assume is a small team thats working on it its amazing

So wow. That was. Really funny. And for a fan production the voice acting was pretty good as well, Yoko and Orion were...honestly below average sorry for the criticism but I was actually impressed by the voices of Nero and Nyx. But really this one episode probably gave me more laughs than I ever expected. The animation over all was pretty good too, loved the creativity there. If I had any advice I'd recommend working on different camera angles so things feel more dynamic and to cut out the music when switching from action to comedic moments, the tonal shift will work well with the sudden lack of music. Keep working hard!
Love nyx's weapons. I had a similar idea, but mine were more compact and simplistic, though these are more versatile . Always wanted to make tomphs work as an effective combat weapon, and this has way surpassed the potential I thought of. Keep the work up, animation and dialogue has been a real upgrade since last chapter.
