Hope this helps!
Lots of potential crossovers here. I'd love to see you work with Jet Ski Brothers and their V8 Jet Ski. Also, Cleetus McFarland has done a lot with mini jet boats and I believe he even has the same 6' hull waiting to be finished. Granted Florida is a heck of a haul, but he has been talking about an Alaska trip.
@@fullloadofcummins I don't think it is. GHPC had theirs a year ago, according to this video. Also the hull was labeled for them. Last I saw Cleetus bought a seadoo spark for the drivetrain and the hull was down at JL performance. I think it's the same model, but not the exact same one.

The problem your going to have is the donor jetski has a molded in fiberglass pump shoe. You really need a bolt in aluminum pump shoe to make this work right in the aluminum boat. Otherwise you'll have to cut the shoe out of the old hull and rivet/fiberglass it into the jetstream hull

I am looking forward to absolutely every project you guys are working on! That little jet boat is going to be an absolute blast to ride! Love the idea for the mini-trailer for the mini-boat. Just an idea from a guy who really has no clue: Have you thought about locating the engine in the front of the boat and running the shaft back to the impeller as a way to improve center of gravity and maybe rider comfort? (doesn't everyone love having a spinning drive shaft next to their sensitive bits? 😁)
The reason every single jetboat has the motor at the back is because the more weight at the rear the better. because then the intake is easier to keep in the water which = less cavitation like having more traction on the water. i wont thint the weight balence will be that bad once you include the driver weight as a rearward bias is preferred
just read up on it actually, and a possible issue of too much rear weight bias is porposing. which is when while the boat is on a plane the front of the boat bounces up and down. this can be fixed by adding weight to the front, having fixed trim plates at the rear of the hull, or having adjustable nozzle trim
@@Louis_m9 - It's a lot easier to adjust the seat forward and back to adjust for porpoising than it would be to move the engine. My thinking is that the engine, being a small 2-stroke, is probably lighter than the human who will be piloting the boat, which is why I suggested putting the engine up front instead of the human.
I belive the water jacket in the exhaust is actually a preheater for the engine so it can get up to temperature and not shock the engine with cold water.
Agreed, the shaft has length for a purpose. I would imagine it has to do w/ fluid mechanics, preventing parasitic losses. The engineers sacrificed power loss in the longer shaft for a good reason, IMO.

Beating Cleetus on his mini jet boat build!
Feel a mini boat trailer build on the way too
Please do a Barbie semi if you can find one somehow, with a trailer. FLatbed or fitted for the boat but drive around with a custom semi boat and trailer all minis make the trailer big enough to fit a few of the other toys as well and it actually be a mini, miniature toy hauler.
