This is why I got so angry that GA let him off with an apology letter! He's a lying treasonous snake. Another example of how inept the courts are. Must be nice to be above the law and not be held accountable for participating in an attempted coup of your own design.
Not merely an apology letter, he did have to plead guilty to the charges and he now has a criminal record. This was a plea deal in return for testimony vs Trump and no doubt against Meadows as well. If it turns out these bizarre lies in MI directly materially affect his GA plea deal then you can be sure Fani Willis will recharge him in GA. it’s all unclear right now.
As part of the deal, he has to testify _truthfully_ against the others involved.
There is still *plenty* of room for him to get himself into legal peril there.
Yeah Harry, Georgia ought to void his plea deal since he's broken laws AGAIN.

He's not out on bail--he has a suspended sentence based on a plea deal. But you're right, lying to investigators would violate that deal. He could (and should) be resentenced; he's admitted his crimes in open court.

How does that work in the US? In the UK, a successful insanity plea basically gets you locked up in a secure hospital indefinitely, rather than being locked in jail for a few years.
