Something seriously wrong with the American judicial system that Cannon can continue to do what she is doing without being removed.
I wonder if only Jack Smith can file a complaint, or is it possible for other lawyers/judges to press the 11th circuit or even citizens weigh in with a class action lawsuit?
No. It's frustrating, but the system is skewed to protect the independence of judges. It you skew it the other way, yeah you solve the problem of a rogue judge like Cannon, but she's an exception. And solving that problem will create a whole new set of problems, resulting in even MORE political interference.
Simple solution is to remove political appointments and put it in the hands of an independent judicial body.
It is infuriating.
From afar the USA appears to be in serious decline. No morals, no ethics and this from the SCOTUS downwards throughout your society

I would like to see how she is ruling in ALL the cases she’s handling. From her rulings for the Trump case alone scream cra-cra. Something is grossly impaired in her logic and reason. It would be a public benefit to examine her other case rulings to better determine whether her she is nuts + incompetent.

Cannon’s intelligence, cognitive abilities, and suitability for public office seems to be equal to Marge Greene’s. They both need remedial education.
These are kind words from you, and you show a decency that they will never know or understand I think.
She doesn't seem to appreciate being educated, given her responses to filings seeking to do so. Dragging her feet on making decisions like a petulant child, when she cannot just ignore the law.
As much as I dislike Judge Cannon, that is a pretty low insult. At least Cannon had the chops to get through law school. I don't think MTG could make it through second grade without multiple tutors.

I saw Kamala Harris talking recently about there is more women in America than men. Women have voted more than men. I'm guessing that the Republicans have been trying to beat the woman voters down to try and keep their men in office. I don't think Republicans support women. Aileen Mercedes Cannon is an immigrant who was born in 1981 in Cali, Colombia. Her mother had fled Cuba as a girl, after the Cuban Revolution of the 1950s. Aileen is an American citizen through her father, who was born in Indiana. She graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, and is bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English. Cannon has been a member of the conservative and libertarian Federalist Society since 2005, when she was a law student.
The problem with this often repeated argument is that the opposite is also true. If we assume every judge is beholden to the party of the president who appointed them, and there is a 2 party system, then *every* judge is either friend or foe. So screaming "she's bias" is equally true of every judge and you validate Trump's claims that Engoron and Merchon are inherently "against" him. Don't be like Trump.

I think the odds are best to try to get Judge Cannon removed now, then going to trial where the odds will be stacked against the prosecution with Cannon's tricks.
How do you suggest she be removed? The only way is if she issued a appealable ruling and then Jack Smith appeals to the 11th Circuit and they overturn the ruling AND also order her off the case. The latter is very rare. By design in the US Constitution Federal Judges are extremely independent of control.
The only political body that can influence her is the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives and given that that Committee is headed by Jim Jordan they will be 100% in support of her.

I would rather make an attempt to get the Eleventh Circuit involved with this case and get shot down than never make an attempt at all. I think our Justice system and the Eleventh Circuit's reputation are worth the risk.

If Judge Cannon dismisses the case after the jury selection, double jeopardy will come into play. I would rather history note that there was a failed appeal attempt to the Eleventh Circuit to have Judge Cannon removed from the case, and then the Prosecutors sat by and did nothing. Future citizens should know all the facts, and have the opportunity to make changes to our laws so another out-of-control Federal Cannon won't be a problem. Is there a possibility that Trump may get all our most sensitive boxes of documents back, depending on which way the court cases go?
