Considering Alito is such an extreme patriarchal religious zealot, I find it unlikely that Mrs. Alito would do anything of any consequence, without seeking out his permission and approval. Federal judges can only be removed through impeachment by the House of Representatives and conviction in the Senate. Judges and Justices serve no fixed term - they serve until their death, retirement, or conviction by the Senate.
People have to vote Democrat all the way, Congress and Senate. Right now, the House of Representatives is mostly GOP Trump Cult members.

Hmm I partly agree but the fact is the title of Chief Justice is essentially administrative in giving Roberts a major say over the agenda of the court but the Chief Justice is not higher ranked than the associate Justices who are all islands of independence

We need to realize, we are here partly, because we allowed ourselves to become complacent and disengaged. In 2010, we stayed home, and we allowed Republicans to take control of Congress, setting the stage for McConnell and Don Vonshitzenpants to stack the courts.
We have to use this as a learning experience, and not stay home. We must keep ourselves informed, and engaged. Only we can fix this, and we do it by electing people who will fight for us, and not their rich donors and criminal ex-Presidents.
