I think it's kinda pathetic that the parents were oh so conservative, and they were all about "marry for money" and their own kid has to pay for them to go to money management classes. At least the kid bought the house instead of letting the bank foreclose on it. And now the family home is their own family home when they have kids, and they can pass it down so long as the kid knows how to keep the house taken care of on the financial level.
