Brother Made My Life Hell, And Got My Wife Pregnant. Now He Wants My Help After Our Parents Disowned Him and Left Me Their $2 Million Inheritance.
-
The story begins with the narrator, an older brother, describing a life overshadowed by his younger brother, David, who was always the favored child in the family. Despite being the golden child, David harbored a deep-seated resentment toward the narrator, who was independent and introverted. Throughout their childhood, David bullied the narrator relentlessly, with their mother often dismissing the abuse as sibling bonding.
David’s bullying ranged from verbal insults to dangerous pranks, like nearly setting the narrator's hair on fire. The narrator's pleas for help were often ignored or downplayed by their mother, while their father was mostly absent due to work. The turning point came when the father finally recognized the severity of David's behavior and took steps to protect the narrator, even enrolling him in MMA classes to build his confidence and self-defense skills.
The narrator eventually left for university, escaping the toxic home environment and thriving academically and socially. He met Karen, whom he later married after discovering she was pregnant. Their relationship faced challenges, including Karen’s infidelity, but they tried to move forward for the sake of their son and their future together.
Years later, Karen confessed to an ongoing affair with David, shattering the narrator’s world. She revealed that their son might actually be David’s, which a paternity test later confirmed. This revelation led to the narrator leaving Karen and seeking support from his parents, who were initially shocked and then angry upon discovering the extent of David's betrayal.
The narrator’s father decided to cut David off financially and emotionally, disowning him and altering his will to leave everything to the narrator. David, now struggling without his parents' support, tried to reach out to the narrator for help. The narrator refused, reminding David of the consequences of his actions.
The narrator’s mother, still sympathetic towards David, leaked information about the will to him, causing family tensions. The narrator's father threatened to leave her if she continued to support David, forcing her to distance herself from her favored son.
Five months later, the narrator has a better relationship with his father, enjoying weekends together and receiving a promotion at work. He is in therapy, slowly healing from the trauma of his past. David, now living with Karen and their son, struggles to make ends meet after dropping out of college. The narrator chooses not to engage with David or Karen, focusing instead on his own recovery and future.

Mother is an absolute disgrace
Agreed how can you support someone like David for so long? I blame everything that David did partially on her and the dad too. This is what happens when you spoil children smh.
Near the middle to the end his parents were a W
She enabled him and his terrible behavior and kept doing it even after the author's father realized the truth and tried to set it right
maybe hes a child from another man
For sure
"A child shouldn't be raised in a broken home!"
"Then you shouldn't have broken it."
Would you mind explaining? My dumbass doesn't understand what you said.
@@jamar-from-afarThey misinterpreted the story, and thought it was the cheating wife that said “a child shouldn’t be raised in a broken home” when it was OP that said that.

A man who is the victim of paternity fraud has no moral obligation to the child. Period. He has every right to leave and never look back, no matter the effect on the child.
The child may be innocent, but that does not mean he is owed continued affection or support from the wronged man.
Henry is s victim too his parents are incredibly selfish
@@missytanner3501 even so, he is not owed anything by anyone except his parents. his parents made a mess. its sad but we cant save every victims out there.

Understand
Child is innocent but so is the victim who has been cheated.
Preach!
"Beyond her control " lol... um maaam, you made the decision
Right? Hearing that made me recoil Abit in confusion. Professional victim mentality.
It's heart-wrenching to see how David's jealousy and actions tore the family apart, yet inspiring to witness the narrator's strength in overcoming adversity and focusing on his own healing and success.
OP stayed with a person who cheated multiple times. She didn't think there would be consequences.
I can't believe the person who cheated on my not once but twice cheated on me a third time as well! Truly who could have seen this coming

Mom failed him. None of this both garbage. Mom.
@@eldenlion5850 naw the father was garbage too he just turned around later in life and had money as leverage.
@@lonewanderer8743You should clean your ears out, then you'll have considerably less stupid takes. Father did nothing wrong, you only think he does because the truth doesn't suit the narrative.
@@eldenlion5850 You seem to be taking my take personal because my opinion differs from yours. What possible "narrative" could I have. Cheating is no mistake. It's a conscious decision.
Sounds like the dad needs to DNA test David.
Omfg now that you mentioned it, it is kinda sus. Why does the thought of divorce terrified her when she kept fighting for David? Brooo
I think you're on to something
My exact thought….she cheated
Good point
This is legit the 3th story I heard by far that’s exactly like this. This is probably fake just like the rest of Reddit stories now
That family ain't toxic That family is the entirety of Chernobyl
Why is it that people cheating always start crying etc when their partner wants to stop the relationship? Its not like they cried when being unfaithful.
Lmao
I'm tempted to ask one to hear their answer.
@@cypherdk85
To get themselves out of trouble, not feel the guilt and hoping the other person is easily manipulated
Because now it's hurting them. Or manipulation.
Because they got caught, not because they care about the other person.
A family friend found out the kid he had been raising with his ex for the past 2 years wasn't his. He chose to remain as the kids parent. I cannot imagine how hard of a decision that was. Whatever the parent chooses leaves them in a horrible situation. I don't think anyone has the right to judge someone in that position. There is no right answer.
8:17 “a mix of shock, betrayal and disbelief overwhelmed me” really? She already cheated on you twice before this incident and you’re overwhelmed by shock and disbelief???
😂 yeah why would anyone stay with a cheater? Once a cheater, always a cheater
Yeah that irked me a bit. He should have divorced her after the first time. I mean, come on!
Yall can talk like you'd do this all you want, but if it did happen to you, you'd realise just how hard it would be especially if you've been with your partner for a very long time AND have a child with them!

@@DianaMirror I’m not making a comment on whether he should or shouldn’t stay with his wife after she already cheated on him twice in the past. I’m making a comment on the fact that she does it a THIRD TIME and his reaction is a mix of shock and disbelief. Whether he stays with her or not is besides the point. The fact that he’s shocked and filled with disbelief is absolutely incomprehensible. Anger? Ok. Depression? Sure. Numbness and indifference? I’d accept that. But shock and disbelief? Nah bruh you don’t get to have those emotions in this particular situation…
Toxic smothering mother created that monster of a younger brother.
It’s unbelievable how family dynamics can become so complicated and painful. This story really made me think about the importance of trust and boundaries.

As he said, he thought he would mature over the years, but was able to step in. Its to blame that the dad should have step in earlier
Lmfao his dad went from being awful to being an absolute G. Shut that favoritism bullshit right away
I think he put up with the bs was because he did not want to irritate his wife.
I mean, yeah, but after his years of silence had helped mould David into what he was. "Waiting for him to grow out of it" is an exceptionally poor excuse for such a monumental parenting fail.

True to form for reddit simps to call a guy cruel for not wanting to raise his wife’s AP’s creampie 😂. These people (if you can call them that) are beyond help.
Came for the story, stayed for the cakes
Idk why the OP didn't became a bully to his brother, an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind but if you don't take other's eyes it will only leave you blind, david should have been bullied by his brother and to know better that his actions have consequences.

@@markotisovic8233Exactly!
Yeah, that's why confucius is a more realist....philosopher.
Someone said: “What do you think of the old saying ‘repay evil with kindness?’” Confucius said: “In that case how will you repay kindness? Better repay evil with justice, and kindness with kindness.”
Becoming a bully to his brother won’t make him better than his brother.
@@MashedPOTATO197 ik of course it won't make him any better but he would know the consequences of messing with the OP ever again and trauma plays a huge roll in people deciding their actions.
This was believable in how OOP kept forgiving and trying to earn his awful wife's love no matter how many times she betrayed him. He kept forgiving and trying to earn his awful mother and even his awful father's love (despite his change of heart, he was still a terrible parent). And I even got the sense that when OOP and his brother were watching movies together that he would have forgiven his brother and tried to earn his love, too, should his brother only ask.
This is exactly how an emotionally abused person would act, frustrating as it is to read. Despite the "happy" ending, OOP would have had a much better life had he not given so many chances to the people who kept betraying him. Had he just left for college and built a new life without any of his family in it.
When people say "it was a mistake" I ask at what point was it a mistake? Mistaken identity? Drugged or drunk? When you got naked. When got aroused? When penetration began ...there are so many moments to retract consent. Unfaithfulness is a choice. An unrepentant choice
That gigachad dad though 🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿his aura is maxed out +200000000000
She accused you of being cruel? If you're cruel, then what's that make her? A scumbag?

First time i regret being named david
They dad is my hero, l love this stand up man, mother is a piece of work
It sounds like a really painful and challenging situation, with a lot of unresolved issues between you and your brother. Navigating family dynamics, especially with such a significant inheritance involved, can be incredibly tough. It’s important to set clear boundaries and prioritize your own well-being, especially when dealing with someone who has caused you so much distress.
What's this guy's fault to give in a woman this many chance after cheating him.
?
Bro you ain't selfish or cruel, you done the right thing by not letting your brother of ex wife stepped over you. And you are right about your "son" not being your responsibility to raise him as he is not your child.
(F* off, RUclips for removing my posts!) No sympathy for Karen or even their kid. OP is under no obligation to the kid if he isn’t his. Also, shame on David and OP’s mom.
This might be one of the first stories like this with not terrible parents, at least when the big shit went down. Most stories i see they wouldve sided with the "golden brother"
GOAT Dad fr
This is what being a nice guy gets you. Never take a cheater back. Always do a paternity test and have some self respect, Jesus man.
For some reason, this video makes me want cake.
Op better be careful when his father died probably his mother gonna make a action to re-enter his brother into his life back
There is no harmless flirting. Giving attention to flirting and further indulging in it itself is morally wrong when you are in committed relationship. All of that she did weren't mistakes but choices she consciously made Knowing it was wrong. She was a red flag when she gave in to the 'harmless flirting' from David Which was at the initial stage of their marriage or near to the beginning of marriage.
OP imo should have taken a bit of caution when she was including David during their Date. He should've been watchful of the dynamic developing between his wife and David considering the kind of guy David was.. not saying wife can't bond with brother in law. Not a problem if its a sibling like bond but its a problem if its going beyond sibling bond or in this case having this kind of younger brother. What a wife shouldn't be doing with another man, she shouldn't be doing with brother in law aswell irrespective of age.
Also imo The cheating with the 1st guy even when OP didn't know about her relationship with his brother should've been the deal breaker for divorce. Forgiving her at that time was stupidity.
Dude....just no.
I stay da fukk away from SIL.
Just no.
The only guys a wife may get close to is her siblings because even most cheaters avoid Alabama meme.
Favoritism in families can deeply affect siblings' relationships, as seen with your mother's treatment of David.
Stay away from that noise brother, live your new life on your own terms and enjoy it!
This mother is absolutely sickening and condoned the abuse for years.
I'm normally all for cheaters getting their just desserts, but Henry was still his grandson. He should've made sure that *he* was taken care of, at least.
>sees the title
>"oh cool a story where the parents actually aren't horrible"
>watches it
>"ITS ALWAYS THE DAMN MO-"
wow, imagine someone treating you with the same lack of respect you showed yourself by taking them back after they betrayed you not once... but twice! but then again, thats what happens when you let your feelings dictate your choices...
LOL! Just desserts! David isn't sorry about his wretched behavior. He wants the $.
The mother is in the wrong it is never the child’s fault it is the fault of the parents never the child’s simply the child was raised with no sort of punishment the fault is more on the mother
Why would you continue to call a child your "son", after you find out he's your nephew?
Karen's probably cheating on David. :D
Wow, op , your brother was nuts. This coming from coming from a 32 year old who just found out the youngest sister just got engaged and already has one brother in law from another of younger sister . And said sister that already has son that lives with the his grandparents.

No man has the responsibility to raise another man’s child.

Mistake okay yeah you forgave her you stayed with her you even married her!! But she kept right on sleeping with your brother!! Lying about it sneaking off and all that that kid is not yours nine times out of 10 that kid belongs to your brother and she knows it!! Your mother's been an enabler all his life!!
I feel bad that OP went through this, but they also seem unbelievably naive.
Couldn't only listen to half the story, then became insanely hungry.
Once a cheater all ways a cheater.
Tip: if you ever became the golden child for a long time, you're doomed to fall in your adulthood
On the bright side, can't they do a paternity test with enough specificity to exclude close relatives?
As soon as the phone call infront of the parents with the brother happened, OP should have looked at the mother and said "This is your fault, all of it." and then gone nc with her forever.
Wouldn't be suprised if the brothers had different fathers judging by the low life mothers actions.
The writing is hilarious, nice story
I call bs
Mostly because the mother wouldn't do a 180 after everything as the story said
Karen is the ultimate homewrecker. She is so disgusting! Never stay with a cheater.
