To be fair, at this point many of these stories are made up because they realized it gets traffic and will probably get worse with things like chatgpt if this wasn't already made by it or a program like it. It could be a genuine story and things like this do happen, but I get BS vibes for some reason.
Edit: Pretty sure its BS since apparently this story happened in the future and he came back in time to tell us about it.

Not really. My FIL treated my SIL like an angle. And my husband like dirt. They even had DNA tested. Nothing changed.
Now my FIL is spoiling my daughter and forgetting my son.
His even said to my daughter "who's my favourite one".
I told him to not say it in earshot of my son.
My brother has said he would spoil a daughter if he has kids and just tolerate a son.
Some men are weird. Just like the ones who spoil their sons, and ignore their daughter.

To plea to my mother and my mother pissed I lied. Dragged me by the ear and demanded I tell the truth. In that moment I had two mothers mad at me. And the teacher loved my mother so started to tell my mother everything. If I was grounded my teacher remind me of it. If I tried to ditch other teachers warn my mother. It was hell for a kid until I left for college.

Peace in the family takes precedence when family treats YOU like family. If what op says is represented accurately, your family doesn’t care about you. They see you as a burden. If they believed in you they would have invested in you like your sister. Take the money like peepaw wanted, and let them burn their own bridge with the greater family.

    • @RushNotHnds
      @RushNotHnds 2 месяца назад +2

Not that I believe the story anyway, but for the sake of argument lets say its true. I don't think any resentment should be held towards Amy, there was nothing in there that showed that she was ever advocating for this kind of behavior and her explanation for not speaking up would have been completely acceptable. watching your parents treat your sibling like a cast away while you aren't really able to do anything for fear you might end up being basically disowned by your parents as well cant exactly be a good childhood no matter how much material gain you get from it. the mom is a whole other story but you're talking about a kid who literally didn't know any better and still confined with OP before the mother even did and finally faced her parents regardless by the time she was of age to know better, I see nothing wrong there. Its easy to view a person like that as the bad guy but she was thrown into that position by the only two people she could trust from birth.

Just because someone gave birth to you and took care of you (the absolute bare minimum needed to qualify as parents) doesnt mean that you HAVE to love them. Cut your losses. Take it from personal experience, no matter what you do, you will never, ever be enough in your 'donors' (i call them this because that is the minimum effort they put in to be loving parents) eyes as your sister.
It may be hard, but you will be far better off pursuing your own dreams than trying to meet theirs.

OP deserves to have his inheritance. He should have called out his parents for the extremely blatant favoritism to anyone that is on his parents' side. Each and every time OP's sister was treated a ton better than OP. It will make it so that those family members see how bad the situation is and voice their disdain to OP's parents because of the blatant favoritism. Here is the thing. OP should not care about the his parents. Since they failed as being parents. OP's parents don't understand that being parents are to treat your kids equally (if they have multiple kids) and to teach them right from wrong and that they can't have everything they want. OP should try to get the family on his side and make sure that unless his parents' force their golden child to get a full time job or go to college while dealing with a part time job. That the family will disown OP's parents. For both being greedy and being failures as parents due to OP's sister being a golden child.

OP's parents set Amy up for failure by not encouraging her to work for herslf or to take responsibility for her own life. She already has $500,000 from ger own oietion so that should be enough dor her to get started on her own. OP's parents would also have likeky given everything to Amy in theur will anyway, no diubt citing she needed it more than OP but ignoring the fact it seems she's intelligent but raised to depend on them rather than herself. OP should accept the grandfathers inheritance.

yes things hurt but after awhile the hurt goes away and life takes over. I no longer feel badly that I dont have siblings and I find there is no need for poison. I no longer feel the need to prove anything to them or myself. Too bad it took so long and now at 68 wish I had the bravery to get away from them. I wish I could go back 20 some years and do it then and go back to college and become what my dreams were then.

i really enjoyed the storytelling in this video, and it was super entertaining. i can’t help but wonder, though, if the parents were right to choose favorites. isn’t inheritance supposed to be equally divided? it just seems unfair to play favorites with something so significant, don’t you think?

    “Still support her at 2025?”
Good story , but I’m pretty sure a story made by a human wouldn’t refer to a year they haven’t even lived.

Something’s off about this story. The dates take place in the future and there are grammar errors, something strange from a Harvard alumni

i really loved this video! the storytelling was engaging and kept me hooked. but honestly, i find it kinda unfair how inheritance issues often get so messy in families. shouldn't it be based on merit or need rather than favoritism? it raises a lot of questions about fairness and family dynamics. what do you all think?

Around 9:30 : OP's problems are his obsession with family and constant worry how the fall out of the inheritance will affect his relationship with entitled daddy, mummy, sister. Witness how he decides to chat with sister. What can she say? "I don't want the $ 500000"
OP's uncles should ensure OP's share of the money is put in a trust that OP cannot touch so that he can get a monthly payment for the next 30 years. Otherwise there's a chance that parents will persuade him with tears to part with the golden egg his grandfather gave him!

Sounds like your parents knew you'd be OK.
Your sister would be a waste or space so they gave her all the encouragement she needed.
And gave you the tools to be a good man.
Just joking they're horrible, but at least you had a home.
