Glad to hear that you ordered yours, I was thinking about ordering the grey ones but I love the white color so I ordered those first, maybe in the future I will order the retro grey. I would like to get it before Sony releases the new PS5 Slim.

Do these plates really improve the cooling of the system or do you think it's the same as the original plates?
Yes the plates do improve cooling but a little bit. But even a little bit is better then nothing
People saying the system is too large have obviously never had a full sized PC sat on top ot under a desk. It's a none issue. The majority of the perceived size is due to the long shell casing - which isn't bad - but the difference brand case definitely looks sleeker and more compact in some ways. Besides, the ps4 wasn't exactly big by any stretch and actually got bigger with the pro versions, but it's big because airflow is the priority and rightly so because thst matters more than cosmetics - again, not to say the ps5 doesn't look bad - but a lot of what Sony has done is solid groundwork to then figure out what they can streamline and a lot of it tends to boil down to the power supply that occupies a decent portion of the console.
