I NEVER write a review but this product warranted it. Ordered and arrived in days (no joke) and the packaging alone warranted the price. And it looks the business when fitted onto the PS5. Could not recommend this case, or the company, enough. Honestly amazing!! 😎👌

Great quality plates and i like how they include dust filters. What i also did to my PS5 is remove the stock metal grills and screwed the fan back in without them. I find it opens up the fan a little bit to more airflow. As long as the console is in a safe spot and the dust filters are being used and cleaned regularly, it runs great.

I haven’t gotten dark plates yet, but I will be soon. I’ve heard very good things about them.
I just did this and the making sure the clips are aligned and giving it a good smack was the easiest way

Everytime I see a dark plate video. The console is standing upright. Can you still lay it horizontally with stock stand that the ps5 comes with?
Yessir, I hear the stand doesn’t work properly vertical tho. Haven’t tried that yet

Just opened my box. There is no left and right on my lightstrips 🤔 what should I do?
put one of them on one side, then do the same thing but on the other side, it doesn't matter which one goes on which side

What’s going on @dbrand I requested to cancel my order and I got an email saying it was canceled but I was charged twice I checked my credit card and I was charged twice

Ive went through 2 sets of darkplates and unfortunately the oem stand does not go flush in the vertical position it makes it so that the screw goes in at an angle so they must be a slight bit thicker than the original plates kinda disappointed
the same thing happened to me. Just received the plates and installed them but I can't put the vertical stand back anymore.
I just found this out myself. I wonder if they're thicker so they the stand isn't required
Yea idk I gave up on it they insist that the plates are 100 % compatible with the stand in the vertical position which clearly isn't true
Hey dbrand I just purchased a ps5 skin and when I line up the power buttons the usb holes don’t line up with the sticker is off by enough to render the plugs unusable tbh I’m really disappointed the sticker itself is really good quality but the cut outs are terrible

Here's a tip you have to Use your fingers to prevent The plates from coming out too fast You don't have to do it quick you gotta do it slow and easy

I got the plates because they’re truly translucent and that’s awesome. The lights aren’t really lights they’re tints for the lights. And the middle skin is just a sticker. So I opted not to get them

Shame there’s no cut out to allow the PS5 logo to be visible. Just bought a retro style PlayStation sticker and was looking at your “Retro Grey” cover, they would look so good together.
I agree. Would love to see them incorporate a “retro limited edition plate set” complete with sticker. Dbrand’s very own take on the 40th anniversary of PlayStation. I know I know. Great idea right?!

Just got my order and opened the package up... they only shipped me one side. I'm missing one whole plate. Nice, fancy box with foam insulation, and there's only 1 plate in it. Neat.
4:25 the disc side was incredibly hard to install. it took me an hour and lots of crying. I really wish you worded it better or included more camera angles. What does it even mean, to put your palm on the bottom of the console??!?!? Eventually I just slapped the highlighted area really hard and it went in.

They're not as good honestly, I have em both and I prefer the black ones.

Just to let you guys know the plate for the for the disc version comes off way too easily and the stand seems like it doesn’t work for it But other than that, the console looks good

Had to super glue a broken spike, barely put pressure on it. Hopefully it doesnt glue to my ps5 forever. Also the skins didnt align and looked cheap so i threw them away. Not impressed with dbrand at all.

I guess you can but then you don’t get the light strips and you have to be careful around the USBs HDMI and power port😅
@@random_guy789 you need to take off the og panels for the dark plates. You can just take them off, paint them black and put it back on once it's dry.
Probably won't look as good and clean and also there's way more then just black, like the new translucent ones and also a lot with patterns on them, good luck painting them.
But in theory, all console hardware can be taken apart, painted and put back together. It's a lot more work to get to get it right though
Easy to do - sand them down with fine sandpaper, apply primer, air dry for a day, and spray your color of choice.
