- LG Ultrafine 27UP850-W 27" 4K Monitor Review - Taking a look at why you might pick this instead of a Mac Studio Display, a Samsumg M8, and many other models. I go into IPS vs VA panels, why I moved away from a VA panel/ultrawide setup, and dive into why this has been the best monitor for the Mac Mini for my usage, and why it's great for any MacBook Pro or Air.

Comprehensive and well put together video. Thanks Kyle. Really good relaxed delivery and well shot. I'm just about to buy an M1 Mac Mini and this looks like the perfect middle ground monitor. Cheers!
Bought this monitor during the last Black Friday sale. Fantastic value for the price.
Solid review and information! Definitely considering this monitor.
LG does indeed make some excellent budget friendly monitors. 2 weeks ago the LG 27UP80B-W went on sale for $299, and I picked up an open box for $260. The stand is incredibly flimsy with horrible wobble but easily fixed with the spare mount I have. I wouldn't be surprised seeing more usbc monitor price cuts to $250 by end of year.
How does it do with PPI?? Sharp letters or can you see pixels…Best Buy open box $254.00 I am going for it!! What is a crispy clean lettering…it’s the same model that you have

Hello! Do you know what is the difference between yours LG 27UP80B-W which is 449$ on the official LG website and LG in this video LG 27UP850N-W which is 549$ on LG's website, I'm looking for the difference in spec sheet but I can't find any. Want to buy one so I need a help. Thanks in forward!
I like your content and presentation style so I just subscribed. I watched this particular video because I've got an LG 32" 4k monitor (Class 4K UHD FreeSync) on order from Costco and wanted to learn more about what I'm getting. It isn't the same as yours, it's a VA panel and definitely not high end, but it fits in my budget and will be a big step up from the 1080 monitors I'm used to. I'll be using it with my Mac Studio (base model).
Thank you so much on explaining the pixel density by comparing the 4K and 1440p settings of the same monitor. Cheers!
I purchased this monitor and it's great for the price. I use it with an M1 Mac mini, I have a DAC, amp, speakers and an Apple TV 4K connected to it and it's awesome. Streaming videos through the monitor are excellent. I just purchased the Benq monitor light I have been wanting to get it for a while. Thanks for your thorough video.
Hello Orlando, what is the resolution you are working for the Mac mini? I cannot run it on 4K but 1080p scaled to 1440p. I connect it through the USB type-c cable.
Should I buy HDMI 2.1 for my xbox series s? I think 2.0 is enough for Series S. Thanks.
VERY helpful and informative video. THANK YOU! Just what I needed.
Really great and honest review. Thanks Kyle!
Really well-made review, and the video itself - wow!
great video Kyle! thank you! i bought this monitor and I love it. it's really crisp and also has great viewing angles. I"m using with my MBP 16" M1. it powers it nicely and the stand is pretty good. i'm going to put it on a VESA mount. I don't use for gaming, but it it is great for the office and productivity. Even at the highest resolution, i Can still view it.
the long walk along the beach got me 😂😂😂
Great content, thanks from a fellow software developer
Thanks for the review Kyle , you are a champion.
Thanks for watching!
Great review. I actually use this as a screen for my MacBook Pro and also for Xbox series x console gaming. It’s perfect for console as most games still run at 4k 60fps max, and hdmi 2.1 monitors are mostly over $1k still for 120fps games which are still super rare.
Great picture, only thing is I think I would prefer a 32” just because I also use it for console gaming.
Was actually planning on doing the same thing! I work from home and currently work off an M1 MacBook Pro and keep my series x on my desk for gaming. Great minds
I bought this same model, Still waiting for delivery. My workload includes UI and UX development, a good monitor for my work indeed
Brilliant. Thank you. I'll buy this monitor now.
I use the exact same one for some time now, and am really happy with it. One of my USB 3.0 just died at some point, but flawless otherwise. The stand is also impressive. Great video, as always!
Thank you so much for this recommendation. I purchased the sister monitor, the virtually identical 27UP850N-W, and it is a thing of beauty that worked perfectly with my Intel MacBook Pro.
I’m happy you’re liking it!
hey man, whats the difference b/w 27up850n-w and 27up850-w?
@@sajeelkhan4500 If I recall correctly, the only difference is the amount of power the monitor delivers over USB-C.
@@selimpensfiction I also think the "850n" version is glossy vs matte for the "850" model. Corrige me if I'm wrong.
@@GuillaumeTremblay-rl1lj I don't *think* it's glossy. I'm looking at it as we speak and it seems like a matte display to me. My MacBook Air is right beside it and it definitely has a glossy display. So, I don't think so
Very Informative video. Content is 101/100. Cheers. BTW day has just okayish a little disappointed with the new MacBook air pricing, was planning to get one.
I’m probably going to grab one to test out for the channel, whenever you can order them. Wish I could preorder now!
Thanks for that video will look Into it even more.
I'll imminently be upgrading my entire Mac desktop setup and have already taken the decision to buy LG Ultrafine monitors - most likely 2 x 24MD4KL. Apart from the quality of the display, one of my key reasons for choosing the Ultrafine is its native integration with OS X volume and brightness controls on the keyboard. These monitors were co-developed with Apple and the integration is very good - not all monitors play nicely with the latest versions of OS X.
Are you happy with your choices a year later?
@@insaBordeNation I opted for the 27MD5KL - larger screen and higher resolution. These LG Ultrafine monitors are excellent and, by chance, I saw them at a substantially reduced price at Costco online. I highly recommend them.
I got a dual monitor setup for my 2019 MacBook Pro 16 inch with the dell u2723qe. Expensive but I absolutely love them.
Also, a 5k screen is less hard on your gpu than a 4K screen for your Mac. This is because 5k scales perfectly with Mac OS. To achieve 4K it has to scale up and then scale back down to give you an image, taking more power. For Mac OS, the best resolution that is the easiest on the gpu are 1080 p and 1440 p. 1440 p scales pretty well on Mac OS
Good review Kyle. I have two LG Ultrafine 27UP850-W 27" 4K Monitors off my Mac Studio. best matched 4K quality on the Mac for the price point.
Impressive video quality, my friend. Keep at it.
Thanks for watching!
GREAT content!
Very nice video. Thank you.
nice review Kyle
I believe you help me spend less on a first monitor for photo editing. Thanks for your clear arguments.
Love the video! Saw a quick glimpse of you editing in LR, curious if you know how well this thing handles in the Adobe RGB color space? I've noticed that manufacturers very rarely list Adobe RGB values (unless it's like above 90% coverage, therefore a overwhelmingly expensive monitor) - any info helps!!
great review thanks
Thanks for the review! I just bought one of these as an external for my MacBook Pro. Do you have any tips on getting an optimal black point? This is primarily going to be used for photo editing.
Nice review! What monitor desk arm are you using?
I completely agree with your consideration. We replaced all the monitors in our studio at the beginning of 2023 with this model, and they are excellent monitors for the price. Most seats have a dual monitor configuration. We have a dedicated Grading room with a color grading monitor, so we don't need perfectly color-accurate monitors for each seat, but they are good enough for editing, VFX, 3D work, and 3D application development. We also have two very fast-refreshing rate monitors to test issues with high sync rates for gaming applications.
The employees feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with our team expressing their contentment with the performance and reliability of these monitors in their day-to-day professional activities.
Great video - thanks for covering the monitor so thoroughly! I'll be picking up a new Mac sometime before the end of the year and have been toiling of monitor options. Wondering how a. pair of these would work with an M-chip Mac mini! Thanks for your videos!
I have the same display. Great choice to go with a specked out m1 Mac mini.
Very well. Thanks Kyle
sounds like a nice display I am still using a older display right now on a 2012 refurbished mac mini. The price in Canada is about $670.00
Excellent video. 👍🏼 What color profile is best for photography?
I have this exact same monitor. I bought it over a year ago and it's been excellent for creative work. The DCI-P3 display quality is equivalent to monitors at a significantly higher price level but the clincher is the USB C connectivity - it's effectively a USB C hub with display, data & charging. You can connect your laptop with one cable to the monitor, plug everything else into the back of the monitor and keep your desktop clear. Ideal also if you frequently take your laptop away with you and want to connect & disconnect quickly. I've not yet seen anything equivalent for much less than twice the price. In the UK it's rarely in stock/available however.
Highly recommended. One caveat: it does consume a LOT of power. If you use it all day, every day, your electricity bills will take the hit.
how many electricity units does it consume if used 8 hours a day for 30 days?

May I know if the USB 3.0 port can still work if you are connecting your laptop to the monitor via the USB-C? In the previos model (27UN850), there is a limitation that once USB-C port is utilized for charging and video transfer, there will not be any data transfer for the USB 3.0 port, unless offload the video transfer to HDMI and leave the USB-C port for data transfer purposes.
@@hoshuliang I can't get it to work on mine. I can't even run my Apple mouse or keyboard on one of the 27UP850's USB-A ports while driving the monitor off USB-C. And when I drive it through HDMI, and try to use the USB-C as just an upstream USB connection, my Mac Mini thinks there's another monitor attached. Switch inputs on the monitor and yup, there's the second screen. As far as I can tell, those USB-A ports don't do anything. Maybe they're vestigial ports that aren't connected!
Hi! Great review! Looking to by new displays for my office. Have you compared the 27UP850 with the LG 24MD4KL? Thanks!
Great review. Is the stand metal or plastic? Can't tell from the video.
Hey! You said its one of the best 4k monitors for mac, is it also one of the best monitors for windows or are there better options?
Thank you so much for your review! My project is to digitize thousands of family photos and I needed to upgrade my computer (I now have the 2021 13-inch MacBook Pro), the Epson V600 photo scanner, and I need a larger monitor now.
I will be doing some light photo editing (both with black and white and color photos) as writing up family biographies as I'm doing the family genealogy. Of course, I looked at the Apple Studio Display because I love the ease-of-use of Mac products and the fact that they work together seamlessly. However, $1,200 is way too expensive. After measuring my workspace, I decided on the 27-inch size, 4K monitor with a USB-C connector.
I really like the fact that one can pivot to a vertical mode, which I think will be great for documentation purposes. Do you still think that this is a suitable monitor given the use case I have described above?
In my old setup, I had a 10-12 year old MacBook Air and it flickered all of the time. Have you experienced any flickering with this LG model? T
Thanks in advance for your help in this matter 🙂.
Giday from Brisbane Australia, I purchased the same monitor 2 days ago and my Mac mini arrives next week. Curious to know what is a light bar and what you use it for?
Cheers John
Great review, I`m looking for a monitor for photo editing. Can you say something about Panel uniformity? Is it good? And do colors and contrast stay the same when looking at it from an slight angle?
I just ordered a Samsung M8 for my incoming MacBook Air M2. I couldn’t pass on this amazing price $299.99 CAD. I think it will be more than sufficient for my needs, I’m not a gamer, just make some youtube videos with iMovie. Thanks for the review 👍🏻
Great video! Got yourself a new follower! Quick question, do you know what the difference is between the LG 27UP850-W and 27UN850-W?
the UN is an older model
Thanks! Now I see there is a LG 27UP850N-W? Do you what the N means? Why so many 😩. Do you have any recommendations for settings for new Mac Mini? Appreciate it!
I have the LG 27 UP850-W and I love it. Now I want to get a second LG 4k monitor for my new 4k cameras that I just had installed. LG has so many 4k models in 27" which one would you recommend for this application. I would get the same one I have now but don't feel the price is justified just for my camera set up. Thanks Mate ☺👍👍👍
if you do want the same quality panel, you could look at the UP600 or 650, very similar, just without the USB-C features
Thank you!!!
Great review, the only problem with 27" 4k with MacOS is that the text is too small and you have to use the "Scaled" resolution that can have huge impact on performances if you do heavy graphic workloads. This is why for MacOS they made the specific 5k version.
This problem doesn't exist with 1440p monitors but the resolution is too low in my opinion.
Does this problem exist on the ultrafine 24 inch?
I agree. The PPI is wrong for Mac. I’m really having a hard time finding a monitor for Mac Studio, bigger than 32.What do you suggest?
@@Glloo481 yeah you need 21" for native retina with 4k resolution
@@tutubeos well if 32+ and retina, there’s literally only one option: spending 5000 on the Apple pro XDR display.
What about 32" 4k displays on mac? Like the LG 32UP83A. Even when scaled on Mac, text should be a tad bigger, yes?
Hey Kyle!
Great review! I am planning on buying the Mac studio but not with the studio display. I am not sure whether it’s going to be the Samsung M8 screen because of its iMac-like design or the LG 32UL950. If anyone has some advice about which would be better, I would really appreciate it!
And another question: what are those lights in the background? They look great!
I probably wouldn’t get the M8 because it has a VA panel which is more prone to black smearing and ghosting, and that display in particular lacks sharpness (lots of folks complain about edges being fuzzy)
Thanks for the review. I was hoping to spend $500 or less. After watching your video, I am very tempted to spend more and get this monitor.
Excellent review.
If I may, I would like to ask a question: Did you search for the model Lg 27UN880-B? If yes, why didn't you choose it? or what are the disadvantages in relation to this model of the video. Thanks
Similar panel, but that model you posted doesn't get as bright, contrast ratio isn't good, and it doesn't have as accurate color.
@@KyleErickson Your review was decisive for my choice. Thank you very much kyle.
with macos the 4k on 27 "is handled well in terms of UI aspect ratio? Thanks for the review :)
Hi Kyle, I love your informative videos. I am a graphic designer and most of my work is desktop publishing (type heavy) and for photo and web. Will this monitor work for those functions?
Yes, I'd say it would be fine.
Excellent review. Thank you. I have a MacBook Pro on order that I am replacing an iMac with. I would like to use the MacBook Pro as a desktop. I already have a wired mouse and wired keyboard that I would like to use with the MacBook. I am wondering if I could plug in those peripherals into the monitor to connect to the MacBook instead of buying a hub.
I really like your channel! Just found it a few weeks ago. Beeing a real newbie regarding tech I am looking for a high quality 4k screen to go with my M1 Mac Mini. So far I have tried the BenQ PD3205U (Great build quality but I was not impressed) now I am trying a 34 BenQ PD3420Q (not 4k but 3440-1440) and so far om not impressed :-( I am not into video editing but music making but my brain gets more productive when everything look super sharp on the screen. The next screen I am gonna look at is the Dell 32UltraSharp U3219Q! I now that I want a 32,, Can you recommend any 4k Lg screens for someone like me ? the 27UP850-W 4K looks really great but I would like my new screen to be a 32. Hope you can help :-)
Hey Kyle: Thanks for this amazing video. Would it be possible to provide some settings of the display? I own a similar display and I'm trying to configure the brightness, contrast and pretty much everything to look similar with an iMac M1 24" display since I use them both (LG is a 2nd display for my iMac). Thanks!
Unfortunately this will be different for each panel, so it won't be of use to you. I also calibrate my monitor with a colorimeter, so my settings would likely be wildly different than what yours are. If you want to get as close as possible to another display my suggestion would be buy a colorimeter (Spyder X is probably the most affordable option that works pretty well), and use it on both your mac display and your secondary one.
OK so after much deliberation I've decided to go ahead and grab this monitor. Originally saw it on your setup video. Because you've been helpful in answering my questions and for just making great videos, I was going to clear my cookies and use your amazon link but unfortunately it doesn't work, takes me to some random product. Just a heads up. That's for UK specifically btw.
No worries at all! Main thing is you find something you like!
Hi there,
It looks like a good monitor, thanks for the review! I'm looking for a monitor for photo editing. Perhaps you know what Adobe RGB coverage is on this LG monitor?
For now I've stopped on the BenQ SW270c, but it's only 2k and more expensive
Hello! What price do you think it's worth waiting for this display? Is 400€ too much?
We all did gaming in 60hz 15 Years ago and no one complained :D (I had a 17 inch tn panel monitor and only the size was a downside I remember.)
Kyle do you have any bad experience about the Mac OS scaling on 4K screens? I read from some articles on the web, which they say 5K monitors are more compatible and dont cause the scaling issues on Mac OS which 4K monitors do. In their experiences, 4K monitors could cause blurry texts and images on Mac OS.
yeah I want to know more about it too but he said in the video he have no problem with text
Currently dealing with those now. Blurry text and also the flickering issues. Very frustrating
Thanks for the review: im planning to buy this 27UP850-W model but I don't know what percentage of sRGB does it cover
I deliver my contents to mostly users with sRGB.
Thank you
It’s 99%
1) How are the speakers for zoom calls as compared to MacBook speakers?
2) Does it have ambient light sensor to adjust screen brightness automatically?
3) Does it have a feature to normalize screen brightness based on content being displayed?
4) How are the colors compared to MacBook screen?
5) Can it act as a usb-c hub?
What is the difference between this monitor and the 27UP850N-W? Is the N just a newer model? Great Video
No difference, it's the same model
Hi, is this monitor good for 4K video editing? Thanks in anticipation. ❤️👍
Question: How much can you lower the brightness on this monitor ?
On some monitors, they can get bright enough to work in a lit room, but their brightness can not be lowered enough to make them pleasant to work with in a dark room.
Small correction, 5K isn’t an extra 1000 pixels. It’s nearly 6.5 million extra pixels (that’s an extra 78%). The purpose is mainly so you can have your timeline on the bottom and another premier tool on the left in view at the same time as the full 4K preview window, 1:1 no scaling.
5K is because of apple scaling system..
their old imac is 16:10 ratio, its 2560x1440.. their reason for 5K no 4K is because they double the height length. its 5120x2880 (5K)
For their 6K monitor, they double from laptop monitor 3072 x 1920 (3K), so their apple studio pro is natively 6K
@@yedijafotografer My point still stands, if a 4K display is 4x a 1080 display then a 5k is over 7x the resolution. Kyle casually brushed off the difference of 1000 pixels but it’s actually quite significant if you’re editing photos or videos. Your maths also doesn’t add up on 6k res (6k is 6016 x 3384), the doubling is only for the UI scaling.
This! Plus 5k is less taxing on the gpu here. For the scaling to work, the Mac renders/calculates a 5k image first and then scales it down to 4K, which is an extra step that costs processing power. Not to mention scaling artifacts that are a given because of the odd scaling ratio.
Great review! I'm hyped to get this one. Any idea how this would compare with dell s2721qs? These 2 are my last man standing options before i buy. Lg edges out in the type c feature, dell edges out for the thinner bezels. If lg would edge out the dell on display, I'd choose it, but based on specs their almost same for what i need as a designer. If you would be kind to help me here would appreciate it really
I would not be surprised if Dell is rebadging LG monitor panels.
It would be great if we can see this side by side with the LG 27UQ850-W.
Does this monitor come in 24" ? I already have the 27". But since I just got 4k cameras installed on my house would like the same thing but in 24" sitting rifgt next to my 27". Great review and I love this monitor. Thanks Mate👍
No, it doesn't. The only 24" one that I know of which LG makes is the 24UD58-B
I have problem with that monitor. My M1 Macbook Air couldnt set the output audio to the monitor.
I plug usb-c.
But when choose the audio output to Monitor, the video played in fast forward, and no audio at all.
Any solution?
This is the one, imma get 3!
Yep, this is a legit monitor! Got me thinking about my choices again 🤔 Great review though Kyle!
Great overview! I have an Apple iMac 5k 27 inch late2014. What cable would I need to use this monitor as a second display? Thx!
The LG UltraFine 27UP850N-W 27 monitor is connected to a Mac mini M2 Pro via a Type-C cable. When your Mac goes to sleep, the monitor turns off. But the backlight remains on. No sign (No signal. Wait, it is switching to energy saving mode.) I waited for a couple of hours. Still doesn't go off. Black screen but with backlight on
I have that one too, mount vesa, great monitor.
I was thinking to buy this monitor, thank you for the video!!
I have just one question about monitor inside settings: is it possible to disable power delivery through usb-c? I mean to avoid that the laptop gets charged while is connected with usb-c, thank you!
Why would you want it? Just set maximum battery to 80% to preserve battery health and let it be.
By the way if the laptop is a Mac You have to keep it plugged to expand battery life. Mac laptops automatically disable the battery when they are on charge and the battery percentage reach a certain level. Mac laptops got an automated maximum charge behaviour, they recognize your usage. If You a re a heavy battery user Mac will always charge 100% before disabling the battery usage, otherwise if You tend to use it with the charger plugged charge will stop at 80% level. By the way if It is a Mac always use it plugged in to extend battery life furthermore.
I plan on purchasing the mac mini m2 and own the lg ultrafine 24 in version. I will be using one of the thunderbolt ports on the mini to connect to my display which leaves one more on the mac mini. I own a rode podmic usb along with a ssd enclosure. Which do you recommend I plug directly into the mac mini? Would there be any issues with plugging in the microphone or enclosure into thunderbolt port on the back of the monitor?
Thanks for your video. How do you connect your mac mini? usb-c? maybe it's a stupid question, but since the usb-c can power a macbook... will this power supply damage my mac studio? thanks in advance
hey, great video ! I just bought this monitor after watching your review. I'm having sound issues while connected to my MacBook Air M2 via USB-B. Anytime I play a song on Music app or video on RUclips, the sound coming from the monitor is laggy and distorted. when I switch to my Mac, sound and video plays fine. Any Idea where the issue might come from ?
I'm not sure, I don't use the internal speakers at all so I've never really had an issue like this!
Is that a screen saver at 2:20? Where is it from? Thanks. I read in many places that it's better to go for the LG Ultrafine 5k display. That way you don't have to deal with the scaling which will use up some of the GPU.
You might wanna check out my video regarding scaling!
i have a greek 24" full hd monitor (very cheap) for my mac mini m1, and it's very good!!! :)
It;s expensive af compared to some other 4K displays from Dell or ASUS but I still got it and I'm not dissappointed. Mainly it's because it has HDR and it works well with my laptop which also has HDR. otherwise the colors got messed up really bad.
The Samsung M8 sucks ass in display quality. the edges are visibly darker than the middle it looks like it's faulty. colors are so bad it look smudgy and you can't really change that.
What is the light bar that you have attached to the top of your monitor (at 6:38)?
please tell me whether you made any settings for color rendering when using the monitor together with the macbook? If so, could you please share the settings?
Thanks for all the informative review! Question: if you have a mouse plugged into the monitor USB port and you switch the input to the USB-C input with a Mac connected, does the mouse work with the Mac? I’m a combined PC/Mac user and this is a pain point for me. Thanks in advance!
I haven’t tried this, I will take a look!
It would for the Mac, how would it work with the PC though since there’s no USB upstream back to the PC
This monitor doesn’t have built-in KVM, so out of the box you can’t share mouse/keyboard between two computers. You need external usb-c switch for this, first cheap models just appeared on the market although quality of them is not perfect. Another option is to buy magnetic usb-c adapters and easily change usb-c cable between PC and Mac. And third option would be to buy multi-device bluetooth keyboard and mouse :-)
Also have an issue, i’m using USB-C port connected to my mac, but the USB port monitor not working when i plugged keyboard/mouse cable
Just got two of these with the (updated model number) LG 27UP85NP-W. The monitor is exactly the same as the 27UP850-W.
I've got both connected to two thunderbolt ports on my Mac Studio using the supplied USB-C (Alt) cables.
These seem to be a lot better, but they were more expensive than the two Lenovo Q27H-20 2k monitors I only got 6 months ago. They have gone back to Lenovo because of serious random flickering issues connect to my Mac Studio using their USB-C (Alt) ports.
I expected Lenovo will send me two equally bad monitors which I'll sell to a non Mac user, although I also observed flickering on those monitors when connected to my work HP laptop using HDMI.
A few less ports on these than the Lenovo monitors. but nothing significant.
As a lot of Mac users have been using the UP850s for a while I am hoping I don't have any flickering (headache causing) problems like the Lenovo monitors.
How accurate are the colors in your opinion?
I'm planning on getting this mainly to edit my photos and video. But I also game as well every now and then. I play games like Fortnite or LoL. Not a competitive gamer btw. So would I have an issue if I game with it since it's 5ms? I'm fine with the 60Hz btw
@kyle Amazing review. I'm shopping for my wife's mac book pro external screen. Would you recommend the LG over a 27" Samsung M8?
hands down, yes.
The M8 is way overhyped. The viewing angle is horrendous and it's not particularly bright. The home screen is kind of annoying too. We returned ours and will be picking up the 32" version of this one instead.
I'm stuck deciding whether to buy LG 27 UP850W or Dell U2723QE even though I have watched plenty of reviews on youtube.
What did u end up getting?
Yeah, curious! Which one did you buy?
I'm curious tooo haha
Burh, u brought it are not???
same here...
Hey there, thanks for the video. I take it you’re using the displayport input on the monitor (I would assume from the TB3 port on your mini). Would you think having a TB3 input on the monitor would make for an improved experience? Or would it be just the same as goi g tb3 into displayport? I was thinking of the 24” LG 24MD4KL, the Ultrafine with 3x usbc and 2x tb3, as I can’t really fit a 27 on my desk 😂 if you have any suggestion for use with an m1 air I’ll be grateful!
I actually just use the HDMI port, as it's only a 60Hz display. If I'd needed more than 100Hz (because the mini is only HDMI 2.0), then I would likely use the TB connection.
