Wow.Never seen one that long before. Must take hrs to do the loading list. Anyone know how long it would take .Here in the UK 40 wagons would be long .lol.Nice one J
All of the great trains are going through Ohio with Union Pacific CSX and Northfolk Southern trains with nice cloudy skies and great scenery of course, also glad the pet's and here it's Norfie glad to see her doing well and the awesome slide show Thanks again Jaw Tooth.🤠👋🐾🐈⬛🦮🐕🐾 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
Wow JT alot of auto racks on the first train! It was extremely long. Yes very nice train into the sunset. Hamilton is fab for watching the trains always seems busy.❤😊
Hey Jawtooth, more excellent train video, I do enjoy night trains, low lighting is cool, signals flashing on railcars as they appear out of nowhere!!Carman Dan,GTW
A double dip EOT DPU, worth the price of admission right there. Loving the evening action and especially the night shots. Enjoyed it immensely, thanks JT!
I live near the B&O metropolitan line . about 10 years ago there was a train stopped waiting for a signal change. There were a whole cut of empty flat beds at the end. I wanted to so much hop on the last one and ride to the next crossing a mile awry or hop off if the train stated speeding up whichever happened firsts..
Hey jaw tooth both day and night trains are fun to film and watch. Wish they could sound horn at crossing. I love hearing train horns . Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
@@robertheinkel6225you’re right! I didn’t see that second articulated car until you pointed it out. Now I wonder how many of these have been rolling by in the videos and we just didn’t notice.
Fantastic to see so many LONG trains in this video!! Really liked that last one though cause it was a cool effect to see the train come out of the dark into the red light of the signal. Thanks JT for all you do to bring the trains to us!! Until next time!!
Howdy JT! Great catches! Love the CP & UP DPUs. Caught a CP inter-modal come through Tiffin on the CSX line a few weeks back. One lead and one DPU on the end. Pretty rare to see CP trains come through my area. Thanks for sharing 🤠
Hamilton never disappoints, good long trains. That tanker train with the 2 dpus on the end sounded really cool. Awesome trains. Thanks for the video Brian. Stay well roll on
Tanker Train headed South? If so, my semi-educated guess is that tanker train stayed on the CSX Line and is headed to the CC Sub. Ethanol trains have been running pretty regularly on the CC Sub.
Many of those old building in downtown, would be amazing for redevelopment into modern townhouses or condos/apts. Add in some restaurants, shops. Bring that whole area into a new era, and add a railfan area. I wish I had the money to do it, could be a really neat space.
It’s happening already! The parking lot to his back is currently going through soil testing to become a new hotel, the area to the left behind the garage at 17:22 is going through rezoning to become a brewery/restaurant and is basically across the tracks from the salvaged passenger station that was moved last year. Big things are happening!
26:14 I love a night train! Is the no horn zone because of residential area? I personally always liked the sound at night. The sound would carry me off to sleep.
Thank you for this video of some additional trains that you saw in Hamilton, Ohio on 18 October 2023, Jaw Tooth! You had auto rack, tank car and mixed freight trains in the video. You must have thought that the green colored hopper car was unusual that appeared in the northbound CSX train at 23:38 because it also appeared in the slide show at 35:14. The reporting marks on that hopper car was CABX 580695. The CABX reporting marks belong to the Cabot Corporation. The Cabot Corporation is a major producer of carbon black. The outlets at the bottom of the hopper car tell us that this was a carbon black hopper car. Usually, hopper cars that carry carbon black are painted black. The video that you took at Glendale Ohio at night had good lighting, so we were able to see the train. However, the night video that you took at Camden, Ohio was not as clear as the Glendale, Ohio video because it lacked good lighting. I wonder why that streetlight goes dark when a train comes close to the road crossing. The streetlight must be activated by a photoelectric cell that senses the lack of light to turn on the streetlight. The headlight of the oncoming trian must be enough to make the sensor think that it is okay to turn off the streetlight.
Low light like you had in that last train when the light went out, is OK. We could still see the train, maybe not as much as in the daytime, but don't feel bad about it. You did a great video even without all the light you wanted
NS southbound that are “locals” do not diverge. I was told if the train is to be broken down within the metro Cincy area, (both CSX and NS) it goes that route southbound, all other southbound “pass-thru” trains go left to the NS. South past that divide is - the CSX is for northbound, the NS is for southbound traffic - for BOTH railroads. Down at Glendale is mostly northbound traffic too (same line) unless it’s local delivery
Almost a takeoff on the old adage buy in bulk these large trains are more like ship in bulk. CSX has an empty autorack train from the east coast to Louisville which is almost always 150 cars. CP & UP stop by to say hi plus the general Freight which I believe had a sole box car. How it's interesting to think that in 24 hours a new cycle of trains will keep the transportation cogs moving in Cincinnati and the entire USA. PS - sorry that none of the regular cars you seem to see were around. No potato reefers Marquette Rail boxcars or flat cars of aluminum ingots. They were resting
Norfie has a cousin in Virginia who is named Void. It was good to see Norfie again. Great video, Brian. The lightning on the second night time train was not that great. I wish it had more light.😊
Hi JT. Another great video. I really like the view of the location you took on the first trains. It's a really good view of the interchange of the NS and CSX lines. It would have been really cool if the NS had taken the Cincinnati sub. That would have been a great shot! Love your videos JT! Keep up the great work and stay safe!
Хорошие у тебя ролики они мне все нравятся я рад что ты показываешь их на Ютубе это приятно но ты ещё показываешь кусочек каждого штата это мне нравится тоже. Я будто рядом с тобой стою.
Love your videos!! Keep it up! I see you’re over 300k subscribers now. WOW! This video starts out with a good auto rack train. Most people probably don’t know that each auto rack car is actually are owned by 2 different companies. The flat car portion of the car is usually owned by a car leasing company such as “Trailer Train”(TTX markings). The upper “rack” of the car is owned by the railroad. Many of your Cincinnati Eastern videos of their “storage flat cars”, you can see where the vertical posts of the “rack” were cut off from the flat car. Again, they bear TTX markings.
Man You know where it's at be the Power of the Actual Locomotives themselves, The Air Hornes, Just being there at the Right time and Fight Place, The places you take us to, Abandoned Places, Historical But Rundown Station Houses that could be Refurbished to just as new as they were when built, Your Video i am watching with the really long train was really awesome, Your Still One Of The Very Best, Really great stuff. Regards
💜 your videos but have one question. We noticed the train didn't blow it's horn when it was nighttime, why is this? Thanks David & Sue Ellen from Hgtn WV 🇺🇸😻
The town has a no horn policy. You will also notice at no horn crossings, the gates completely block the road, so folks won’t hit a train they can’t hear coming. By law, to get a no horn crossing, the crossing has to be idiot proof, blocking the entire road.
Me neither. I was planning on filming an NS train take their own track. I thought they were going to do that and I had to cut off the first part of the video where I was explaining how they operate here. lol
Easier way to tell is by looking at the springs on the trucks. If loaded they're compressed (like the ones of those tankers) . Compare with the first few cars of the following train.
I have seen a similar tanker train passing the Covington Cam with CSX engines on the lead but UP or CP on the tail. Maybe this the train and they swap CSX engines and take it on south to Chattanooga
I guess there was some maintenance work being done on the NS line, which would explain why that train stayed on the CSX tracks.
Good observation! I bet that was the reason.
@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars Thanks Fabian!
Just saw an older video of this line, early 90s I think, with the B&O signals still there.
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! 🖐🖐👍
