If there's one thing I adore about this video outside of the footage is the music added. Whoever thought of adding it to the video, it was a great choice!
I was in Davenport on May 10th, and have never been so happy than seeing 2816 for the first time ever! I was standing somewhere on the left of the train as it departed. Hopefully I can chase it through Iowa on the return trip. Awesome video overall!
@@DynamoProductions-trains Wow, I had no idea. I watched a video on Train of Thought channel that the last New York Hudson was destroyed, out of spite no less. I am happy that there are surviving Hudsons and the only operating one gets to tour the United States. Great scenic shots btw, some of the best ones I've seen!
@ShellShock1967 an interesting sidenote, it was the fact that all NYC Hudsons were scraped that got Steamtown to purchase 2816 to represent the 4-6-4 wheel arrangement in the collection.
Majestic machine! But this is actually way bigger news than people realize. Mexicans are going out by the thousands to wave because not only is this an amazing piece of history but to Mexico this marks a new beginning. The trains are coming back to Mexico. Canada, US and Mexico are now fully connected by rails and Mexico is investing heavily on reviving its once great rail network. They are also competing with Panama by building its own rail “canal” at the Isthmus of Tehuantepec and the Tren Maya in the Yucatán peninsula. Mexico has plans to connect the Maya Train to Belize and Guatemala. Americans and Canadians should be happy about this because Mexico is quickly becoming industrialized and bringing back all the manufacturing jobs from Asia. This will not only benefit Mexico but all of North America and Mexico doesn’t want to leave Central America behind. Helping Central America will be the only viable way to reduce mass migration. Mexico has a great plan but America is way too proud to admit it’s right. American politicians keep pushing the anti Mexico/invade Mexico agenda because they can’t stand the thought of Mexico becoming a Leftist, Humanitarian country that renationalized the petroleum and electric industries as well as nationalizing lithium. Current Mexican President AMLO has gained so much respect for Mexico around the world in the last 6 years and has started a movement called the 4th Transformation of Mexico. Now Claudia Sheinbaum, the new president elect of Mexico, will continue with what’s is referred to as the 2nd level of the 4th Transformation. Remember that American politicians know that there always needs to be an enemy and they sadly keep making it Mexico and its people. Mexico has always been a humanitarian country that remains neutral helps anyone that needs it (to a point of even helping others before its own people) and always asks for peace among nations. America is just too greedy and proud to allow Mexico to solve its issues. They create the problem and try to force their own solution on you, and that solution hardly ever helps your country.
@@DynamoProductions-trains Myself and Jaw Tooth are talking about meeting up to chase it. I hope it isn't moving as fast as Big Boy did a few years ago. That was a difficult chase.
@@jasonasselin Oh if you have multiple days you'll be alright. You can judge the first day's traffic and see if you need to take secondary routes the next day or two, so long as those alternate routes are safe and passable lol. I heard no secondary routes was a huge issue for those chasing 611 at BB, so at least you don't contend with that in the Midwest.
There’s something incredibly imperious about 2816’s whistle as she approaches a crossing. It’s like, “Make way, make way for the Empress.” Love it.

Beautiful Canadian Pacific Steam Locomotive on a excursion trip.
The Canadians know how to do this properly. That’s the most beautiful train on the planet.
OH hey! You were standing right next to me at 18:22
It was an absolutely great day! Great video!!
Cool, thanks
Gracias, es un vídeo precioso e impecable.
Glad you enjoyed

Great captures of 2816!
Thanks
Very nice catch. Looks like a once of a life time to catch CP 2816. I notice that 2816 had two whistles.
It was an unforgettable experience
Great Video, from Canadian Pacific 2816 Hudson.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm so glad that this steam locomotive is running again.
Excellent video - stable and creative - great music - 🇨🇦
Thanks
By far the best 2816 chase video I've seen. Interesting to see a video from you not in PA. Awesome work!
Glad you enjoyed. Many of if not most of our videos are not from in PA.
Awesome Catches
Thanks to @BlueCometProductions
Very great video :)
Thanks
35:05 Hey, there’s me and my friend!
Is that last Hudson in existence? If so I'm glad this beautiful locomotive survived.
There are 20 Hudsons preserved in the United States and plenty more in Canada and elsewhere, but this is the only one operable.

THERE IS AN OPERATING HUDSON IN ABILENE KS!!!
AT&SF 3415.
3415 is not a Hudson, its a Pacific.

And they came out by the thousands to prove what a HORRIBLE idea going to Mexico was! Complete and utter chaos and lawlessness! As usual.
I love 💘 it this train
I'm hoping to catch up with it in Davenport later this month and chase into MN.. Would you happen to know the return route?
Yes, Canadian Pacific

Wish she went to Maine or near Maine
Maine isn’t on the way to Mexico
@@DynamoProductions-trains but it's still part of the CP system
The priority of this steam tour is to bring it to the newly merged trackage of Kansas City Southern, which last time I checked Maine is not part of
