Thanks for the guide James! I'll be passing through there when going to Boston from New York City, and I guess I'm stopping there for a few hours to explore New Haven, Connecticut.

Great video! I'm from Connecticut and love New Haven. There's a lot to see and a lot of different cuisines from all over the world for a smaller city.. Plus we do have the best pizza here.. BAR also has good pizza...Hope you come back soon)
You definitely missed out on some of the best tacos in the world by not going to the trucks. When you were at long wharf?. I was born and raised here. The Long Wharf taco trucks are known by every person who eats tacos as a not so well kept secret now. They have been parking and selling tacos for over 25 years. I remember seeing the trucks there when I was very young..like the late 80s early 90s
Darn, I wish I knew that! It would've been perfect to enjoy some tacos along the wharf. I can't remember the exact time, but it was maybe an hour or so before sundown. Next time I'm in New Haven, I'll keep that in mind.

One thing you didn't see, because it was too far to walk and you probably didn't have time: The Peabody Museum of Natural History on Whitney Avenue. A nice city, huh? apparently you don’t know about New Haven. Try going into Newhallville, The Hill section, Fair Haven, Brookside, West Hills, Kensington Square and see if it’s a “ Nice City”.
Just 3 years ago ( pre- defund police liberal policies emboldening criminals to feel they rule), we went to New Haven and felt reasonably safe. Fast forward to now, we didn't feel safe practically anywhere but the pizza areas, and crossing the city streets from the train exit to the green seemed like a murder would take place any second. The CVS on the corner seemed to be headquarters for drug deals and the homeless to get their showers. I've never smelled more pot than at a Grateful Dead show. Once we saw what was going in and out of that CVS, we turned back and got the hell out. I guess the whole Green area is now off limits. Nothing is worth getting shot over. One day, these prosecutors who don't prosecute, may realize what they've done to American cities, but for now, most are off limits to people who choose to stay alive. When somebody has a travel video ( this video) that says " if I may it back alive", that tells all
I have never been to New Haven't, but from what I have heard and read, it is a pretty disgusting city.
