The long antenna is a pain. Always scrapes in parking garages and when I pull it into my home garage as well. I never listen to FM or AM as I stream XM radio or just use auxiliary and play my own music library. Am saving the fishing pole antenna for the trade-in or when I sell it. Just saying most people won’t miss it nowadays since they stream their music anyway.
I tried to remove my stock antenna on my 13 Silverado and put a stubby one one but stick won’t come off i have used wrenches, pliers and even a torch to get it off
It should screw right off. I didn’t have to use any excess force to get it loose. A couple turns with a wrench and then finish twisting it by had was all it took.
I just bought a replacement z71 badge for the grill and am wondering how exactly you installed it. Did you have to pull the grill and are they pieces that just snap together?
The pieces should just snap together. The badge holder should be in two pieces. One piece has to go on from the back of the grill (you don’t have to take the grill out of you can get your fingers through the slots to hold it) and the other goes on from the front. They snap together. Then the z71 badge itself snaps onto that from the front.

That’s a good question. I haven’t actually tried taking one out. I’ve only put one in.
I’m changing mine for looks, just got a 50cal bullet, I dont listen to the radio anyway.
I switch between using Apple Car Play and Sirius XM so I never really have to worry about the antenna either. lol I also kept the original antenna just in case I ever feel the need to put it back on (such as selling the truck or trading it in).

You have to pull the plastic piece out of its clipped locations and insert the antenna through the hole from the bottom side.

I told it like it is. It looks better but the signal is weaker and I stated that in the video so it depends on the person. Does the person want it for looks or for radio signal? That’s up the the individual. The usefulness of it depends on the person. I rewatched the video. There is nothing confusing about anything I said. You’re welcome anyway.
