  • Cravenspeed 3.8" Stubby vs. MastsRus 16" Antenna
The Miata I recently purchased came without an antenna. My search to find a suitable replacement resulted in these two antennas, which led me to think this would be a perfect time for a review video.
The build quality of both is very good. The Stubby is metal with a solid feel. Aesthetically, I like the size of the Stubby, although the slight reveal of chrome with the MastsRus is very nice.
As far as reception; In my area, the 16" MastsRus was more sensitive than the Stubby by far, although results may be different in yours.
I don't use an automatic car wash, so the height of the antenna made little difference.

I am not sure, but as far as I know auto antennas use the same threading no matter what the vehicle.

The whole point of the Stubby is to reduce the size of the mast while keeping most of the powerful signals. It does that pretty well.
