Very fun one today guys One thing I will say because of the inconsistent pattern that the turbo can produces I would use flat if you decide to do 2K clear and pearls over it but that turbo can is crazy and yes I know #5 was the up and down pattern lol Thanks for watching everyone!
Looks amazing, hard to believe thats a rustoleum spray bomb underneath! Also just wanted to say ive binged a ton of your videos the past week and ive learned so much, definitely really looking forward to painting my truck this coming spring! Gonna do alot of experimenting with pigments and colors over winter. Gave myself a 500-600 dollar price range and kinda thought rusto was going to be my only choice but im floored at how good of job you can do with more inexpensive clears especially when you add pearl or colorshift!
@bowtiebuilding honestly I think with the way this can sprays you're going to get a slightly blotchy finish at the risk of running it but definitely something to try in a future video thanks for watching
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKSit came out great As far as the blotching would it be better to just keep going with lighter coats ? Also you weren’t painting on an even canvas you had other colors underneath.
@anguslean4058 yes all the above really but it was just a test spray out so everyone could see the colorshift and that you could do 2k urethane clear and pearls over the Rustoleum turbo can thanks for watching!
Didnt know till it recommended it that ya did video on the turbo cans trippy and cool comparison whole reason i enjoy ya videos! Is the experimentation and budget minded content to expand what is truly high art
Nice colorshift! I used turbo cans to paint my vw beetle chassis I restored. Worked well and fast but a lot of orange peel. Those cans don't atomize the paint finely enough like you said. Looks like you smoothed it out with the speedokote, though. I'm more of a fan of the 2x paint and primer. They take longer to spray large things but the paint always sprays nice and smooth. I just painted my beetle body inside and out with them and cleared everything with spraymax 2K since I don't have a compressor. Came out great. Best to do on a very small car that you can take apart and spray the parts separately. Takes a couple weeks, but it can be done. Use a similar color primer and then the 2x and no coverage issues. Mine was easy. I went white on white. Great video, as always, WAW!
Wow.. the Turbo can wasn't bad at all. It is definitely usable if the end goal is full coverage just for shooting pearl or flakes over it. That Fiji came out phenomenal as well! 🔥
I thought the finish might not look great because the turbo can sprayed a bit splotchy. The fuji really made a huge difference. Great job! It's a 5 out of 5 from me.
That was so funny when you were using the turbo can. It would be great if you paint a whole car or truck with the turbo cans to see how well it can do a complete job.
I just found your channel. Love what you’re doing. I would like to see gloss white with the mineral glacier pearl vs the blue pearl. I am trying to figure out what I want to do with my old Monte Carlo.
The rustoleum with the five spray patterns the fifth pattern you’re supposed to go up and down with. It’s just like pattern four, but you’re supposed to go up and down. it just changes the direction that you can spray. Just FYI
Wow, that is a beautiful color finish. That is an easy number '5'. Thank you once again for the video! Question of course: I am planning to paint my bike with a gallon of Rust-oleum High Performance Gloss Black with a HVLP or LVLP spray gun and finish with 2K RAIKO Ultrashift pearl. Then airbrush over that, then just clear 2K. What mixing ratio is best with that Rust-oleum Gloss black? I'm not sure how much Acetone and hardener. Thank you again for your help.
Guess I haven't seen my favorite color shift pearl yet. Your gold flake over red primer catches my eye the best. Is the a color shift that uses gold as 1 of the colors? Great Products
Great video and excellent presentation. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be available here in the Republic of Ireland which is very disappointing! I am looking to paint my LandRover Defender soon and this would be a wonderful product for an acceptable job for very quick finish. Thank you for your service
Obviously if it comes in a spray can it has a natural reducer to it anything and the actual can that you have to thin out yourself is going to be a little bit different regardless and I would definitely recommend adding a hardener to anything you're going to shoot through a paint gun thanks for watching!
Wow, it works over turbo paint. Does it (the clear) work over rustoleum oil based? Can you do the entire job using a vevor gun, using thinned rustolium oil based?
Yes it does I recommend the 2K urethane clear coat over Rust-Oleum paint jobs I have done almost a hundred spray outs as well as many paint jobs with it with zero issues links in the description to everything I use Thanks for watching
Good job on your 1st comedy, I got a kick. As to the color, I liked the greens and blues but then the angle changed and it turned purple. I'd be curious to know from Eye Candy what solid pearls would give those colors without the shift. I don't even know if that info is out there. Good job John.
Yeah I tried to have fun with it The Rust-Oleum turbo can is very ridiculous to me but as far as the colors go most your darker greens in pearl form tend to have a little bit of a blue shift but I have many more solid pearls I'm going to cover very soon so stay tuned thanks for watching
Some videos I've seen spray the gloss turbo can seems to cover better I would like to see the zinger 123 all in one primer in white or grey they😊 also have it in a tall can at Walmart and home Depot
Hi Johnathan, The Turbo Can has a place as you said. The Color Shift you used today is NICE! 5. Question. What do you think the longevity is of that Speedokote Clear? Outside in the elements? Thanks
Should be great man honestly it works great with Rustoleum and it's 2k urethane clear coat so that means great UV protection and longevity I've had zero issues with it this far thanks for watching!
I'm painting a wrought iron gate with Rustoleum Implement paint. (mix 4:1 with acetone + a little catalyst acrylic hardener.) Just received my Raiko Ultrashift :) which I saw here last week so next is the clear coat. The Rustoleum painting is done and sprayed great except fought the wind a little. The Rustoleum dried relatively quickly and hard. I know you don't use the bulk paint except for the blue Camaro but using KRYLON Farm and Implement Acrylic hardener really toughens up the paint. Next the clear coat. Using your advice Buddy THANKS!
flat vs gloss, good comparison....except for one being flat and the other two being glossy they are so similar don't know how you can tell them apart.....
Man I do try to stay ahead of them but it's hard they want perfection on every video when I'm just doing this for fun to show people these products lol thanks for watching!
That turbo can is too much. I really liked #4 with the multi head. Not blotchy. Can you move the spray top from can to can if you keep it clean? Pearl is always pretty to look at in the sun.
Yeah I agree The turbo can was a bit much but yes you can remove the can lid and switch it to other cans so you can maintain the adjustable 5 in 1 spray pattern thanks for watching
You got me on that one lol One of the mysteries I guess because it's a generic color and with these cans being so much bigger and pricier than others maybe eventually they will do other colors

Wow, that looks GREAT!
Turned out nice! Good job!
That's impressive. Seriously impressive. You make it seem like even I could do that.
That actually turned out way better than I expected. Looks fantastic!
Looks amazing, hard to believe thats a rustoleum spray bomb underneath!

Always glad to help and thank you for watching!
Dude that is so clean!
Would it make any difference if it was gloss rustoleum?
@bowtiebuilding honestly I think with the way this can sprays you're going to get a slightly blotchy finish at the risk of running it but definitely something to try in a future video thanks for watching

Almost at 10k subscribers!!!!!!!!!!!! Super cool video! That can is HUGE!! Thats a SICK Color! That came out super cool!
Yeah we're getting close I appreciate all y'all guys for watching helping me out!
Wow.. the Turbo can wasn't bad at all. It is definitely usable if the end goal is full coverage just for shooting pearl or flakes over it. That Fiji came out phenomenal as well! 🔥
The turbo can looks like fun! Great color shift pearl coat!
The color shift was great I give it a 5 Jonathan. Great video brother!
Fyi save the tip off the turbo can it can be used on the smaller cans
was going to ask this... smaller can easier to hold
@aaronarcement3646 yes definitely would be the turbo can is def awkward because of the size
I thought the finish might not look great because the turbo can sprayed a bit splotchy. The fuji really made a huge difference.
Great job! It's a 5 out of 5 from me.
That came out amazing
I got 4 cans of gloss for mine
Painting pearl over turbo caned paint?!? Always keeping us on our toes. Turned out so great too!
I don't know if you know, but the tips on the turbo can and the 5-in-one can are interchangeable, I really like that color shift you used.
Yes sir thanks for watching!
That was so funny when you were using the turbo can. It would be great if you paint a whole car or truck with the turbo cans to see how well it can do a complete job.
wow beautiful color.
Another winner.
Nice looking on the color shift 4.5.👍👍
Wow it looks amazing 5
Looks great!

Too much fun 😅
5+. Amazing colorshift

60% paint 40% acetone 10% hardener is a good place to start to keep it simple Thanks for watching!
Guess I haven't seen my favorite color shift pearl yet. Your gold flake over red primer catches my eye the best. Is the a color shift that uses gold as 1 of the colors? Great Products
Check out the latest episode pagoda Temple over red you might like it thanks for watching!
Cool colors 👍😎5
Hmmm my 86 firebird does need finished,in flat red at the moment.
Did not see a link in the description for the paint gun .. the hood looked killer and got me thinking ..
It's the orange one in this kit
amzn.to/3Xtys8T
Comes with everything you need thanks for watching!
Great video and excellent presentation. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be available here in the Republic of Ireland which is very disappointing! I am looking to paint my LandRover Defender soon and this would be a wonderful product for an acceptable job for very quick finish. Thank you for your service
4.5 very nice colorshift
That’s a cool color shift
Have you tried the Rust-Oleum ROC Acrylic High Performance Acrylic Enamel? I'd be interested in seeing how it does on a test spray
Not yet but I will thanks for watching
4 on the multi tip can was also a fan but horizontal not vertical. If you would have went up instead of sideways it’s just the one before but turned
The paint in the spray cans is different from the 1 gallon rustoleum cans?
Obviously if it comes in a spray can it has a natural reducer to it anything and the actual can that you have to thin out yourself is going to be a little bit different regardless and I would definitely recommend adding a hardener to anything you're going to shoot through a paint gun thanks for watching!

Man I'd love to see that fujisan pearl over, indian red.
That can I lay down some paint but the color turned out real good
Great video, but five on the can is to spray sideways
Some videos I've seen spray the gloss turbo can seems to cover better I would like to see the zinger 123 all in one primer in white or grey they😊 also have it in a tall can at Walmart and home Depot
Do you put the pearl in with the clear
Yes thanks for watching

@Danno74Z Glad to help send me pics when you get done if you don't mind to Whitleyautoworks@gmail
You Bet. Not color shifting the entire gate just an artistic insert. Will finish tomorrow if the wind dies down. Wasting too much paint.
5 is a wide pattern for vertical painting. Up and down.
very nice!
Wow
flat vs gloss, good comparison....except for one being flat and the other two being glossy they are so similar don't know how you can tell them apart.....
Can't you just switch out the tips and use it on the normal cans too?
Yes you can thanks for watching!
The turbo-can is unique but “more & faster” is not necessarily an asset.
But that’s a pretty pearl and I give it a 4
I definitely agree but it is pretty entertaining lol thanks for watching
Most people like the number 4 setting with number 5 you have to turn the can vertical not horizontal 😮😮
I appreciate the fact you called all the flaws out so the Internet warriors don't have a Karen leg to stand on Lmao
Man I do try to stay ahead of them but it's hard they want perfection on every video when I'm just doing this for fun to show people these products lol thanks for watching!
Not a fan of the turbo can. But the pearls looks great 👍

Too bad the Turbo paint only comes in black or white. Why?
You got me on that one lol One of the mysteries I guess because it's a generic color and with these cans being so much bigger and pricier than others maybe eventually they will do other colors
Good grief! You took a mediocre looking paint and turned it into something awesome! 5!
